I grew up with a soft spot for Wolves when I'd have to listen to them on the radio instead of Villa. The tales of Steve Bull and all the near promotions and heartbreaks of the time made me like them.
Then I met a few Wolves fans who had an utter disdain for all things Villa that really surprised me and took me back a bit. I was slagged off even after revealing my respect for them. Now I've met more Wolves fans the respect has vanished.
They class us more of a rival than we class them, that's for sure.
I've also discovered we are not a very liked fanbase in recent times. Apparently we are an entitled, mid table, deluded club who lives off last centuries achievements. I see it as fallen giants getting back to our feet and recent seasons have shown that
