Was very pleased that “beginners” really felt like a beginner workout instead of being labeled for beginners but leaving me feel like I just had a near death experience 👍
Exactly! Same thing with "warm up" videos for beginners... when the warm up already feels like a full on workout - it's NOT beginner friendly! Glad this video is true to the title 😊
IMO Pilates is a life changing addition to everyone's health! So many people think it's not a workout so it's not beneficial to them(I used to be one of those people). Pilates is like magic, and I didn't know it until I followed your RUclips workouts for a couple of weeks and saw the strength, mobility, fluidity it gave me! Now I try to get everyone I talk to to just try it and test it.
Just came across this, and as someone with autism I find exercise super difficult, sensory such as the clothes or doing it in a gym/class, not being able to understand certain directions, struggling with audio processing. Tried this tonight... In love! I did it in my living room with my dog next to me and my cat. I feel stretched and stronger. I will be doing this every night before bed, I have severe insomnia and work from home so on weekdays it's difficult to fit in exercise around my pets and full time job, running a house. This is perfect. Thank you 😊❤
Same here Isobelly! I do Qigong and sometimes it's hard to keep up, but Jessica is so great with her clarity for me as autistic. With my joints being impacted by my neurophysiology, it's great for keeping them in control as well.
idk if its my post partum but you are so kind and soft and explained everything, went so slow i was sobbing the whole time, its scary getting back into the workout world when you stopped years ago
Jessica, there is a reason why you have over 500K subscribers. You are the best at what you do! Your explanations and encouragement are so much appreciated. Thank you! ❤
Thank u so much for this. It really feels like a beginner video with no pressure. I get overwhelmed easily and find myself feeling bad when I can’t to movements in other beginner videos so I mostly stop doing them. But here I feel like slowly starting this process and not feeling bad or overdue myself .
Hi! I’m 65 and did Pilates at Club Pilates for over a year, 5 days a week. I messed up my shoulder doing intense arm work. Then, I had a gentle fall at home and I had a complete rotator cuff tear. Then, I tore my meniscus. Since then, I’ve had IT Band Syndrome, followed my Hip pain and now I have extreme itching in my thigh, pain in the same hip, and pain in lower right back. Yikes! My oropedic surgeon is calling it SI Jt Dysfunction. I don’t want injections in my back so I’m goi g to start your beginners classes TODAY! I get limber quickly. My Pilates instructors all told me I should have been a ballerina. Ha!! I’m very happy to have found you today, as I loved Pilates. It just got super expensive. I will give you an update in 6 months! T H A N K YOU!
Hi! I just read your comment and I’m going through the same issues as you. Actually I was just looking at club Pilates as well, but like you said it’s pricey. Good luck to you! Hope just this one will do it for us, without spending so much $$$
First time on your channel and first time doing palates! Really enjoyed this and looking forward to joining you in another video tomorrow. Thanks ~ Juli
Thank you for your beginners pilates workout that is truly for beginners. I felt no stress at all or felt like you went to fast. It was perfect. Plus your encouraging words added to the experience. Subscribed to your channel and am so grateful for you.
First time trying pilates, I found I have most trouble with keeping my legs straight, especially in the air. However i think making pilates a habit will help with that. Hopefully ill remember to return :]
hey Jessica, im from Turkiye and i have scoliosis. i did your scoliosis excersize so many times and i started pilates today.thank you so much to these excersize. i dont know what i would do if i didnt find your channel
I began looking into this "Pilates" thing about 3 months ago... started after learning about and paying for a workout program from a Dearly Beth__y channel.. it was just too much for me; and yet, i felt really motivated to find something that would help me become more toned and flexible. Researched, and watched many YT vids, and discovered.. Pilates! and your channel, Jessica..! You, along with Callie Jar__e have changed my life! My mobility is so much improved, and rather than the "how much more time is left" attitude, i actually make the time for you and CJ's channel and, for instance, i just finished an entire hour of just stretching, and trying new moves through different vids.. i love this and look forward to you and your vids! Thank you! Be Well
I was very nervous about doing this, cause I haven’t really moved or stretched my body for a long time.I struggled with these exercises but still pushed through.Very happy I did this and will definitely do it again! Ty so much for the workout
I had my first baby recently (she's just over a year old), and I really want to get stronger and fitter for her sake, but nothing in the past has stuck!! I like what you said about taking your time and allowing yourself to see changes, I always assume these things should just happen, so deffo going to give slow and steady a try! thank you!
This is the first Pilates workout I’ve ever done. The movements are so simple yet so difficult, but not too difficult for a beginner. But I can feel how weak my body is. I’m going to keep doing this and see if I feel stronger. Thanks so much for sharing.
I loved this workout but found it very difficult. I’m 67 and I guess very inflexible. Going to stick with it and go slow. Thank you so much. Also, laying on the floor hurts my back so I’m doing this on my firm bed.
Thanks for this video! I have been doing your videos for a while but I had a really lazy summer… my hips did not cooperate this first time through 😂 feeling great after though!
Hi Jessica: Excellent session. Can you tell me if on your website you have classes specifically for your 60 and older participants. I am not flexible at all, so I am looking for something gentle for us older ladies. Thank you.
Hi Jessica, after starting pilates with you I tried different online teachers, but now have come back full circle, as you are by far the best. I find the second last stretching exercise challenging. My back hurts when I keep my legs stretched out and put my hands behind my head. I feel I painful strain. Are there any variations to prevent this? Xxx
Awesome thank you !! If you have a little energy left, it would mean a lot to me, if you try one of my workouts too 😊 My workouts are a little different but they fly by so fast !! And I see results too 🤩
OK. Viva Sport, Fitness, Aerobic, GYM, Pilates, Body Builder./Building USA./United States of America./Washington D.C. 2024.!!!!!!!!!!!!!.............❤❤😂😂😮😮😅😅😊😊

Not only that but my mental health improved too. It’s very underestimated
I'm a first timer. I'm 53, arthritis in knees but I loved this. I'm going to keep this up. Thank you Jessica. ❤

I love that you talk about the philosophy and the idea behind the exercises we do. I like being talked to when I do these things.

Thank you for teaching us, teacher! This is the first time I practiced Pilates, it’s easy to follow! I like it!!

I am a true beginner and this video is wonderful! Thank you!

This was a great introduction, thank you!
Not a beginner but did this one after a weight workout and it was perfect. Enough that I felt some core work and some stretching
I loved this workout but found it very difficult. I’m 67 and I guess very inflexible. Going to stick with it and go slow. Thank you so much. Also, laying on the floor hurts my back so I’m doing this on my firm bed.
You might like the classical stretch by Essentrics channel. Miranda had a show on PBS for years for people that wanted to increase flexibility gently.
Thank you Jessica. This was a perfect beginner class.
This was amazing ❤Thank you!!
Thank you so much for sharing this. ❤
I really enjoyed this. Thank you. I've always wanted to try pilates.
Thanks for this video! I have been doing your videos for a while but I had a really lazy summer… my hips did not cooperate this first time through 😂 feeling great after though!

This is great for beginners. Whats the frequency over a week should this be done by a beginner? Thanks again
Hi Jessica: Excellent session. Can you tell me if on your website you have classes specifically for your 60 and older participants. I am not flexible at all, so I am looking for something gentle for us older ladies. Thank you.
