The problem with most Pilates beginner workouts is they’re longer, and the problem with that is as a beginner, you don’t have the necessary endurance to comfortably do the entire workout. But I didn’t find that with this video. I think this is the best and truest beginner Pilates workout I’ve found. Thank you.
Looking for beginner pilates I found this. This is the first time I like pilates. I've done it before but my body would hurt too much so I gave up. This is the first time someone explained everything so well without any distracting background noise or music. Thank you for this gift ❤️.
Thank you! I just started today and enjoyed, have never done anything like this before so it was difficult at 208 lbs, but I still enjoyed and will continue on my journey with you!
Thank you so much! I deal with anxiety and depression and am working on getting back into some kind of exercise every day, no matter how little. So tired today, but didn't want to give up, just wanted 10 minutes of Pilates. This was perfect and I feel much better than I did before my mini-workout. I really needed that. 💜
Jessica thank you SO MUCH for doing these videos! I spent 5 weeks in intensive care and came out with serious muscle wastage and 8 months on still need a stick to walk. While I've been getting physio I wanted to try something at home and find these short videos are perfect! I've been doing them for about a week now and already feel better. Please keep them coming! X
This is what all introduction videos should be like. I've done two 30-day yoga challenges along with every other day doing HITT, Pilates and meditation since mid Dec, but you explained it so well and that this was missing from the others. I'm definitely going to go through all your Pilates beginners videos. Definitely subscribing 🧘😁🐾💯
Wow Jessica. This is wonderful. We can tell you actually CARE about Pilates and you’re not just selling it. Too many people are doing that. Lovely, safe and professional. Amazing. Namaste my friend
i barely workout but i want to start being more active and as someone who isn't very energetic i think this will be a great starting point while i gain more strength and energy. thank you so much for this
I've tried pilates multiple times but never liked it. Somehow I still always loved the thought of myself doing pilates. This was the first time ever that I did enjoy Pilates! So thank you very much for this video! Will definately come back for more
I’ve been trying to ohych myself up for getting back into excercise. It was this video or another 24 minutes. I did the beginning Pilates because it was only 17 minutes. I feel just wonderful, subscribed and will continue as you have wonderful content. I cannot thank you enough.
I just found your channel today and subscribed. I'm 65 and I have an Ileostomy which comes with it's own health challenges so I am trying to be fit, strong and flexible enough to stay well. I was surprised by how little movement I have when isolating my legs. Clearly it's going to take some work and time for that to improve. Thank you
I watch these videos a couple times a week to learn about good form and other Pilates basics. Super helpful and clear, and Jessica has such a nice, calm, friendly teaching technique! Anybody learning Pilates should watch these on the regular.
Thank you Jessica, I felt safe and secure starting my first workout with you! The body feels good. Can’t wait to do more tomorrow if this is how good and calm I feel.❤
Thank you…I’m new to Pilates and 5 weeks out of a total hip replacement. I understand my restrictions and limitations… your workout fits nicely with my regular physio. Looking forward to getting stronger and doing more Pilates with your vid’s!
I so appreciate this series, adjusting to “change” altered my fitness journey but I have returned to Pilates and it has always been good for my body irrespective of physical changes.
Thank you! I just started my first workout 01/12/22. I’ve had 2 back surgeries, one 10 months ago, both knees replaced, and have osteoarthritis throughout all my body. My spinal surgeon recommended I start on Pilates today,
I’m a pilates instructor. I’ve lost my job due to the mandates 😔 I fell off my pilates wagon a bit over covid.. I have to say I absolute love your videos. Your cueing and style of teaching is so wonderful and thorough. I love checking out other instructions online.. thank you xxx
A very reassuring, informative workout - thank you! I had a stroke three years ago and have not had the ability to regularly exercise until now. I don’t have the confidence yet to join a Pilates class, so I’m very pleased to have found your channel.
Like everyone else is saying thank you❤ I’ve been trying to get into Pilates for years but always hated it because videos are waaaay to challenging for beginners, but you actually made it fun and energizing
Thank you so very much for allowing me the honor to join you in your beautiful practice. A little about me. In in my early 40s , used to live a very clean and active lifestyle. However, because my biological mother ( I was adopted so it's not her ) abused her body and passed me Liver disease at birth . And regardless of living a healthy active lifestyle . It caught up with me in my 40s . So , here I am with advanced stage cirrhosis of the liver waiting as patiently and as positively as I possibly can to get on the transplant list. A new liver is the only way that I am going to survive. So , I'm dependent on government assistance ( because I can't afford a liver transplant out of my own pocket ) My strength and ability has declined. However , with all that being said I'm still trying to do as much as I can. So I decided to return to pilots. In hopes that it will give me the strength to make it through . I stumbled upon you and here I am , starting with you . Thank you so much and Namaste 🧘🏼♀️🙏🏻❤️🩹❣️
Thank you for this! I love that it’s short - as a mom it’s easier for me to find 10 min and actually do something rather than feel guilty and bad that I can’t do 30 minutes workout… returning to Pilates and loving this intro exercises 🫶
Yes! THANK YOU for actually explaining the little micro steps along the way. It forced me to PAY ATTENTION to my body and how it's moving, rather than just trying to power through something
I loved this really helped my back I’m a breastfeeding mother and nursing has really messed with my back. after doing this my back feels relaxed ! Amazing ! Thank you and great instruction! ❤
This was wonderful. Thank you. The movements reminded me of my childhood dance school, we were doing things like this for 40 minutes a couple of times each week before doing ballet lessons.
🪴I’m so glad I found you Jessica. As a beginner to Pilates and regular exercise, the detailed and clear way you describe the movements gives me confidence in knowing that I’m doing it right 🙏 Thank you for making these videos, and also making them easy access for us all. 💕
I get it now! Started with random videos a few weeks ago and am definitely feeling stronger but was unaware I was doing some of the movements incorrectly. Thank you so so much for the additional instruction. ❤
Great workout and explanations. Thanks! This gentle easy workout is what I need to help my body heal after being weak and out of shape while I am still healing from car accident almost two years ago. Looking forward to getting stronger every day!
Fabulous instruction and explanation as to why to do something a certain way. I have a very tiny knowledge of Pilates and just searched beginners Pilates on RUclips. Many of them did not give the very careful and in depth instruction that you did and I felt people would more likely do themselves an injury rather than do themselves good. I’m so glad I found your channel and feel confident that you are giving the very best instruction possible. You’re amazing. Thank you so much.
I agree! So helpful in such a short time frame. I’ve been so interested in Pilates and this is the first time I’ve done one and didn’t feel totally lost.
i’m trying to loose weight for the new school year and i’m hoping to try keeping it up. I tried pilates with my sister a few years ago when i hated anything to do with exercise and i gave up about 2 minutes in. But now i’m gonna put in all my effort and try to loose 2 lbs. Great work out, i feel motivated to do more now :)
I really enjoyed this today, I’ve tried several of your videos now and this is definitely something I need in my life. I do some weight training and walking but having fibromyalgia so I need to stretch out the body more. I already do mobility before and after my sessions but this seems even better mobility work. Thank you Jessica 🙌❤️
I recently found thus video and it made me love doing pilates But I always wondered if I should do the same workout everyday or different workouts on different days. And also if it would help in weight lose I hoped that someone can help me with this.. please
This is better than the other beginner video I found in which the instructor was mute, wearing almost no clothes doing Pilates at some resort swimming pool. Her muteness and “perfect” fashion model appearance left me nervous…LOL. Thanks for talking, explaining and empowering us beginners.
Thank you very much just started today . Trying to get back into fitness after my knee operation. I'm not sure but I think this type of work out is not too hard on the knees
Wow! what an adventure to search and find this video and then move with it. Been years since I have tried video exercise. Really appreciate your competence, kindness, and wisdom. Feels great and inspiring/empowering! Thank you!!
This is so great! This is probably all I should be doing in a day anyways. With fibromyalgia, it’s so tricky and it seems like the work-outs that are longer than 10 or 15 minutes, hurts me for two days or more after. Thank-you so much for this Jessica!
This is great. I’d love a video dedicated to doing Pilates with knee problems. I have EDS and both knees struggle but I’d love a challenging workout that’s extra gentle on the knees.
Thanks Jessica, very well explained and at a pace I could comfortably follow. Was actually looking for tai chi but got confused and searched for Pilates. As a retired gent in my early 70s with a couple of extra lockdown stone I decided it was time to get active again. Just finished the first of the 10 minute beginner workouts. Found it a bit difficult but got there in end, feeling a bit stiff and achy but will continue with the program.
Thank you for your great instruction. Vertebra is singular & vetebrae is plural so it is more correct to say roll up vertebra by vertebra, not vertebrae by vertebrae. I hope tht helps & thank you again for sharing Pilates!
Loved this video - it was a great way to return to Pilates after a long break. The instructions were clear, the combination of moves helped all areas of my body. Thank you!
I love your channel. Im so thankful that my husband for you. I had an old DVD i used and it finally came apart app he found you. I love your technics and how calm you are and the results i see so quickly. My toddeler daughter tries to do my workouts with me so do you know if you or anyone else does toddeler pilates or if there's a safe parent-child workout you could do?
My toddler always joins me! I just let him crawl and play and have fun around and with me without specifically guiding much. At that age letting them see you workout and letting them be a part of it is great!
First time trying this and must say really enjoyed doing this and 10 minutes went so quickly! Felt like only a few minutes thank you so much for sharing 👏👏👏👏🙏🏻
This was a wonderful experience! I am so glad I discovered your channel. I could have never imagined that I would be able to do that final pose but I actually managed?! Haha, thank you so much.
this is amazing instructions are clear and the body postivity and affirmation helped w negative self talk thank you for not adding music it was easier to fovus
This is awesome :) I’ve been using your videos on and off for about a year and they really help! Any advice for someone with short muscles at the back of the calves(? I think :D ) on that last move? I really struggle and can barely move an inch sometimes! Thanks!
The rolled towel is a great tip. I was actually able to do the roll up just now when it otherwise didn’t seem possible that my body was strong enough to accomplish this exercise🌹!
When coming back up from rolling your spine (on the last exercise) is it okay to lift your feet a little to get yourself up? I struggle to get up but maybe I should try the towel technique :)

Jessica, thank you so much for this video. I have chronic joint pain and most “beginner” videos leave my joints in agony; this was amazing
I've tried pilates multiple times but never liked it. Somehow I still always loved the thought of myself doing pilates. This was the first time ever that I did enjoy Pilates! So thank you very much for this video! Will definately come back for more
After my hamstring injuries it has been hard to get back into it. This is an excellent workout to get me back.into the swing of things. Thank you.

Postpartum mama here and I love these gentle workouts now I just gotta get some confidence to start walking again before winter hit

I’ve just subscribed to your channel and done my first Pilates for beginners 10 minute session. Thank you.
Thank you! It’s my first time trying Pilates in 20 years. An approachable and accessible starting point.
Really enjoyed this as a starting point. Great teaching instructions. Relaxed, encouraging and easy to follow. Thank you!

Used this as a warmup this morning and it was just what I needed! Thank you 💚

Thank you, I just got started on this today, and I found it a great not too difficult beginner video. I'll continue to work with you ❤
I have not done Pilates in years - this was a great first step back into it.
Hey I just did this workout after my 20 min cardio n love it ❤️ it’s calming❤

Thank you. Love the idea of 10 day 10 min challenge. Challenge indeed, and looking forward to it.
Can't wait!
Your video is just perfect for beginners, thank you!
Had a good start today, will have to familiarize some anatomy terms Thank you God Bless
Using this as recovery from Piriformis Syndrome & a wack SIJ. Brilliant , thanks so much!
This was really hard for me but for some reason I loved it. It’s right where I need to be. Thank you
I enjoyed this video. It's short and simple yet you feel each move.
Great little wake up for my body. Been feeling under the weather and this was just what I needed
thank you so much, i didn’t see the time pass. it felt like i did that in less than 1 minute
This was easier than I thought it would be. I'm nearly 17 weeks post spinal surgery and I didn't think I'd manage as much as I did
This is awesome :) I’ve been using your videos on and off for about a year and they really help! Any advice for someone with short muscles at the back of the calves(? I think :D ) on that last move? I really struggle and can barely move an inch sometimes! Thanks!
First time in a few years doing Pilates. I feel great! Thanks for the 10 minute Pilates workout, Jessica. It's just what I needed.
It’s crazy that this made my back feel so much better and so much lighter
Thanks for explaining it easily. i look forward to do more of your workouts.
I’m new, at a beginner level. How often should I do the 10 minutes Pilates a day for a small bit of weight loss?
The rolled towel is a great tip. I was actually able to do the roll up just now when it otherwise didn’t seem possible that my body was strong enough to accomplish this exercise🌹!
Thank you! First time in a long time I even attempted to do Pilates. 😄
Thank you for posting these, it’s very helpful and informative.
I réalité love this routine. Thanks you for the hard work.
I love this 10 minutes workout, sometimes I don’t have to much time and this is perfect. Also I’m new here and I love your videos
My back feels better already and this is just from one session!
Thank you so much, this was the perfect workout had physio yesterday and was feeling abit sore .
This session certainly lifted my spirits😊
When coming back up from rolling your spine (on the last exercise) is it okay to lift your feet a little to get yourself up? I struggle to get up but maybe I should try the towel technique :)
hi, I enjoyed this - thanks! I rolled forward at the end but avoided the roll back to the floor because I have diastasic rectified - is that right?
Such a great video and instructor, perfect for beginners or if you really only have 10 minutes!
