I fell in love with the song and last October on a warm, clear night with a nearly full moon I took my wife of 38 years outside and danced in our backyard to this in the moonlight. It is one of my pivotal memories I will forever hold dear! Thank you for your fabulous cover F & F!
Though not quite as polished as the previous studio version (balance of vocals and instruments mainly), it is a very worthy live performance, Maggie's voice is the human version of a steel guitar here, and Toby's slide playing is fantastic. Very appropriately subtle instrumentation, adding to the dreamy feel of the song. Certainly one of my favorite covers from this group.
It was Maggie's choice to do this one when they reunited for studio recording. Tim said he doesn't think much of the song but did it to be nice. After all Maggie was back! She had some good ideas how to arrange it, and when it came out it got 85,000 views in 2 days and the new studio F&F was off to the races!
I didn't think it would be possible to top the studio version of this, but it has! Excellent performance - I particularly like Toby's "less is more" approach on the guitar, beautifully played.

wonderful. been a neil young fan all my life and of course was very familiar with this song which, at the time, i was kind of meh about. but f&f breathed real life into it and turned it into a thing of beauty. this is not the first time the band has outdone the original song ❤
