✨ submit Q&A questions here!
might answer them in a special vid to celebrate sub milestones
What's your story with drawing? (I mean how did you learn how to draw and that you liked to)
Whats your favorite food to draw? Or whats ur favorite food
don't know if I'm late but..
Q1: Who's your favourite art RUclipsr? (Traditional & digital, since I tend to choose one for each.)
Q2: What do you have the most trouble with in art? How do you think you will improve on this?
Q3: What's your favourite colour scheme(s) to work with?
PS. You don't have to answer all these questions, you could just pick one!
What are some of your favorite ways to stay creative during an art block? :D
How do you stay focused while drawing? Every time I try to sit down and draw, even with music, I can’t focus
I'm good at drawing, but I'm zero at coloring, and your video really helps to have an understanding of how this process happens
how relatable. I can't paint for shit. Spent too much time on mastering my lines lol
@@user-pt5cl2ro6f samee
sameee
Samee, I'm proud of my sketches, but my mind gets blank with colors
Are you good at shading? Cause you can just greyscale and use a gradient map or cover over the hreyscale and use overlay. That's what I do cause coloring is hard lol
8:04 I think that's called bounce light!
Not necessarily skin glowing onto the hair, but in harsh light the color of the skin can bounce onto the color of hair nearby.
It's also why you can see super blue tones in skin under a bright blue sky.
Colors reflecting onto / off of other colored surfaces are wild.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. Extremely helpful and your channel is criminally underrated hopefully you get lots of subs soon 🙏🏼
Do you think you could do a skin coloring tutorial on other body parts like hands, legs, and arms? Those are areas I really struggle with. Also hair too. Maybe lighter hair and different hairstyles? I know you're probably pretty busy most of the time but it's just a request! :) (I love your style so much btw, it really inspires me to continue drawing!)
i'll take note of it!
Thank you for explaining your rendering process. I'm not very good at rendering so it's awesome to watch how other great artists do it.
Your color work is sooooo good! Fascinating to hear your process behind it
i havent watched a tutorial in forever, and this reminded me of how much watching other artists work helps
your rendering style is so beautiful, thank you for sharing a tutorial with us!
I'm so happy I found out about your channel! I've been struggling with finding a coloring style for the past few months, but you showed many ideas I hadn't considered, I'll for sure try to implement them
thank you sm for this!! it was lovely hearing your process. im still learning art especially coloring and with all the tutorials and info it gets overwhelming and i get everything jumbled ;; but listening to yours helped me calm down and help me realize where i need to refocus! also i love using new brushes and cant wait to try these!; - ;
ty!! the pin light layer trick helped me so much
This tutorial was SUPER helpful, thank you very much for uploading!
thank you so much for this video :) i'll definitely try out a few of these effects and see if anything works for me!
Thank youu your coloring style is one of my fav😭
hey thank you so much for this tutorial! as an artist who wants to try new stuff and this is one of the shadings this absolutely helped me
That pin light trick looks like it'll come in handy. Thanks!
Just down loaded your everything brush!!! It's so pretty 💯
Cool tips and also the everything brush is amazing. Was looking for some time for something like this and I love it 😁
I love your art style!
I'm so angry you don't have the followers and views you deserve, your content it's worth it and the effort shwis
God, so underrated! I loved it!
Really good Video! Thank you and such a cool drawing!
You’re art style is very cute.💕
i adore ur artstyle omg
Why the hell are u underrated af- you deserve wayyyyy more subs!!
i always like my sketches on paper more than when i outline digitally.. i'm going to try using a more pencil-like brush again and try that tip with doubling the outline layer with another color so it's more filled in :)
thanks for the vid!!!
Omg the moment I saw this I knew I had to subscribe
Your art looks so good 😭🙏
RUclips's recommendations are finally good
same for me !!!
I didn't know CSP could set color presets omg @ _@ 🙇 thank you! loved the video
Your voice reminds of ghost and pals's voice!! It's so calming
RUclips recommended this channel to me...
I have no regrets. Also I love ur artstyle!

this channel is awesomme
Beautiful drawing!!!
heeyy, glad to see this!
Amazing work! I love this! *eats art* (I consume any art I like)
This is so helpfull thank you❤️
I cannot wait to start experimenting with my own coloring process now that I know yours eheheheh 😈
This pin light trick is so good??!!?? I've never heard about it before, tho i've seen arts that used it before (but i would never guess how its done)
I really apreciate the pin trick :D
oh hey I did this too a while ago! explained my process I mean. I thought that was coool
How do you color inside a specific area? Do you lineart the specific part in a different layer and color it ?
Why i cant do the pin light mode thing ?pls help
Que lindo ❤️
Can you tell me how do u colour pick like (the colour we see from the screen and when we transfer to other device or post on social media, the colours are different. )
How can i solve that? Can u please explain ?🥺
Hi I love your art!!! What brush do you use for your lineart? O:
I love youu
I subbed!!
Coul d you do a video of the brushes you use? And what they’re used for?
sounds like a good vid idea!
gosh i love the brushes ur using can u tell me the names of them?
look great
they should be in the description now~
@@ayeoops TYSM(≧▽≦) Hope u start getting monetize soon💙
beautiful thumbnail
I love your art! Can you do Roxanne wolf in your style Please?♥️
Great tutorial! It’s really weird most of the comments have no reply’s lol :)
Does anyone know an alternative to the pin light trick in Sai 2?
Maybe color burn
How do you guys like crop in those colors into the shape? Like when you guys just color in randomly like in the face how do you crop them in? Sorry if it sounds confusing I’m terrible at explaining
you can either alpha lock the layer, or create a new one on top and clip it to the layer below !
@@ayeoops also do you draw the whole sketch on one layer or are they separated?
In the beginning, how did you color it gray?
If you mean in 2:26 of the video, I’d say she used a brush to outline the drawing, then took off the lineart layer and filled it in manually or with the fill tool. Or, at least that’s how I would do it 😅
Bro I got anatomy down but I still can’t render 😭
What canvas size do you use?? Love your arts ,❤️
i start with a 8x11in 300 dpi (in case i ever want to turn it into a print) and then crop accordingly
i know you've listed the brushes in the description but i cant seem to find the brush you were using at around 4:36. at 4:48 it looks like its called "路笔R" and i cant seem to find it anywhere. Sorry if this is annoying lol, the art is fantastic and I've been loving the everything brush!
nevermind, I think i found it lol. pretty sure it's "Pencil R (鉛筆R)" on the CSP store lol
oh ty for this! i guess when i was looking for my brush names i confused it for an eraser brush 🥲 i'll update my description
@@ayeoops you're all good lol :) Thanks for taking the time to even put the brush in the description! Very swag of you!
I think the skin tone airbrushed in the hair is supposed to make the hair look thinner, like, you can see the skin through the strands. Idk, I also copied it from other artists xD
do we have to pay for your gumroad brushes? very curious
the csp version is free but you can pay if you want, however the procreate one is at least $1 minimum, bc it took me longer to make ;;
Hiii, if you don't mind me asking, What brushes do you use in clip studio? I've been looking for brushes that are like that
my main line brush is my own custom brush, working on getting it on csp assets
@@ayeoops oh nice, can't wait to get it
im having trouble with the pin light trick on darker skin tones, could u help??
for darker skin you must also choose a darker tone for the pin light layer, something less saturated also helps. after coloring the flats in, you can also just edit the hue/sat/brightness of the pinlight layer until you find one that works for you!
@@ayeoops tysm!!! I love ur art! :)
Abslutely FANTASTIC ! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! IMMEDITATELY SUBSCRIBE!~!!!
Hello! I know this video is from a couple months ago and you might not respond, but as a beginner digital artist i would like to know what's the difference between overpainting and underpainting and what is each method for. Thank you for the video!
similar to real life painting, an underpainting is the foundation for the shadows/lighting/general colors. you can look at overpainting as the finishing touches, or rendering of the piece. overpainting is literally painting over everything. in both digital and irl mediums it would be the top layer.
in this vid, i describe underpainting as everything that is "under" the black lines. overpainting is everything "above" the black lines
hope that makes sense! sorry if i just confused you more 😭
Wow this really made it more clear for me! Thank you for your answer, I learnt a lot from you
this is SOOOO good, i LOVE ur style, btw what brush did you use for coloring/painting the skin and the here? timestamp for explanation: 2:42 :D
i used my everything brush linked in the description and the micron brush for filling in
@@ayeoops thank you!!
@@ayeoops could you provide the link for the micron brush? thank you
@@_MandoCalrissian unfortunately i dont have it, dled it so long ago. but you can find many duplicates on the asset store!
@@ayeoops oof, alright!
2:52 what is the shortcut you used here on the hair color?
not sure what you mean? if you're talking about changing the hair color, i just went on my color wheel and picked a different color ^_^
@@ayeoops sorry for not being more clear, I meant how it automatically deleted outside of the lineart :)
@@chatsmeow2997 oh! i clipped it above the gray layer. "clipping mask"
@@ayeoops ah thanks :))) I use desktop CSP so it looks a bit different haha
is clip studio free?
There are two versions of clip studio paint: pro and ex. And you do have to put a one-time Payment for either. But you CAN get unlimited access to either for 6 months 😊
I don’t understand how the pin light trick works…I’ve duplicated, made the bottom layer’s blending mode to “pin light” chose a color, but nothing happens…it stays black. Am I missing something?
you have to pin the black duplicated layer onto the pinlight layer
@@ayeoops Thank you!
could you figure it out?
Not really.. the line art stays black even when I choose a color. Im wondering if I have to use the brush and color over the black?
@@favorjuliet i tried doing that the colors didn't merge together
app name?
csp/ clip studio paint it’s on iPad pc and iPhone
is this supposed to be wraith from apex legends? also i love your art style !
she is a commissioner's original character !
Learning to colour...just so I can switch it to greyscale
uwu❣
I don't understand how people just use the brush tool to color, like it's so time consuming to erase parts like a bucket tool exists
sometimes that part of the coloring process is therapeutic and satisfying to do by hand. it almost feels like a break from the parts that require more brain power to draw.
also since my lines are heavily textured, the bucket tool hates them 😭 and i have to go back in and clean it anyway
@@ayeoops ohhhhhhhh understandable have a nice day
Anyone else see the IMC logo?
uwu~
Rip clip studio paint
Is this an Apex Legends OC? Looks like someone Wraith would date
It pains me that she paints with a white background lol
