He answers the first question by making up an option to double check. Then he makes a mistake, but doesn't double check the beginning of the quiz. His mind simply exists to defend itself from being called an idiot. So glad to see you back Steve 🙏
Even in the emotional age test Phil used mental gymnastics to shield his ego or to look away from his insecurities. It's incredible how scared he is of his own weaknesses.
It's because he doesn't want to accept the truth that everyone who ever said a bad thing about him is correct about 100% of the time. He doesn't want to own up to the fact that he is a self centered, egotistical, sociopathic stuck up prick. And doesn't want to admit that he's wasted his life, has no friends, no social life, social skills and lacks any qualifications to get a job, and even if he did his attitude would get him fired within a week or two
I’m convinced he purposefully didn’t keep track of his answers, bc he knew the quiz would label him as having the mental state of a child. He was scared the quiz would expose him so he did what he always does. Feign confusion & brute force past the question/quiz without answering or completing it. So predictable♿️♿️♿️
I think forgetting to write down his answers highlights two things: 1) He blocks out instructions in his flathead. How many tutorials or hints in games he has ignored? Only to say afterwards the game never told me. 2) He wants to simultaneously portray he is in control and has no control over anything. Not in a life is unpredictable way, but in a literal I can't make a decision or do anything on my own merit without someone's input. A input he'll dismiss anyway if it doesn't fit what he wants to hear. Great to see you in any capacity Steve. Hope your recovery keeps going well.
I saw that emotional age test and immediately thought of you. I even commented on it. Welcome back. You've been missed. His true answers weren't actually options, to be fair.
what are the odds he pulled his phone out and went straight to champions on sheer muscle memory and didn't even realize until he was meant to write his first answer
I think 10:10 is the first instance of it but it's interesting to watch him rewrite questions to avoid responsibility, even just hypothetical responsibility. The question said "if YOU made a mistake" but Phil immediately shifts it into "if someone else SAYS you made a mistake". It's crazy how far he stretches to just avoid thinking about what might be his fault.
Stream chat has destroyed this man’s brain. It’s a fascinating phenomenon. Maybe streamers should be studied seriously. Phil has clearly become so reliant on his chat telling him what to do that following simple instructions on his own has become an ordeal for him.
So I noticed something with a family member - they realised with their apple watch they could ping the phone when they lost it. First week you'd hear the ping every now and then but after a while you'd hear it every 30s I am convinced the brain realises "don't need to retain" this information and just started deleting that info..
His assertion about having an analytical mind is debunked by the fact that he's said he isn't even deciding what he wants to eat on his birthday until his actual birthday itself.
There's a bit of irony here because DSP almost never goes back to check whether he's made a mistake on stream. He gets accused of something on stream and he responds with "never happened". I'd say C is most likely. He'd make a joke about how you're stupid for even caring about what he says.
He is the epitome of the person for whom _The Narcissist's Prayer_ was written. As it goes: _That didn't happen_ . _And if it did, it wasn't that bad_ . _And if it was, that's not a big deal_ . _And if it is, that's not my fault_ . _And if it was, I didn't mean it_ . _And if I did, you deserved it_ .
Feels like DSP immediately shows his low IQ on the first question. It's a hypothetical, you are assumed to know in the situation that you have made a mistake DSP. "What do you mean? I don't think I've made a mistake. What mistake did I make? I want to double check to be sure if this is true, I don't think I've made a mistake, okaaaay?"
Exactly. His response was it depends. And his first example was if someone "accused" him. Not that he actually made a mistake, just accused. He immediately started twisting it.
@@limbo5577 Reminds me mostly of that Boogie email he pigsplained about Walmart, how DSP's response to Boogie making a comparison about RUclips being like Walmart was "But Boogie, I don't shop at Walmart! I hate Walmart!" Like bruh. DSP unironically the dude who goes "but I did eat breakfast this morning?".
So the brains function when we learn is quite interesting. The brain forms neural pathways which is how we access information that is stored. So for example when DSP fails at a video game most people would think "I wont do that again" whereas Phil doesnt seem to be able to make that connection. He goes into "ram my head against the door until it opens" mode. Its the same with credit cards and money. Most people would stop at 5 maxed out cards (if that) and think "this probably isnt a good idea" but Phils logic is "ill just get another card and keep going". They did a test years ago involving an octopus and a perspex box with lots of different sized holes and they found that if an octopus cant get its tentacle all the way in the hole, it wont try that hole again. Phil has a very low IQ and he cannot seem to grasp that there are consequences to your actions.
That’s interesting. There was a study done a number of years ago that showed that the average adult cephalopod has the intelligence of about a seven year old human child. So basically, a child in first or second grade has better problem solving skills than Phil. Is that the proper conclusion here?
I'm glad to see you up again! I'm also glad you are breaking down his back woes. As one who had neck and back surgery, I've found his chronic injury descriptions to be ludicrous.
And college. I'll be honest, it was real, real easy just to get a classmate to give us copies of work. I did C++ at college. I can't tell you the first thing about it.
I've suspected Phil's credentials for a very long time. His qualifications were very likely obtained either through cheating the tests, or via his parents slipping the teachers a few notes (or something else, given the cheating arc Phil said his parents went through). Granted it's easy to get cognitively slower and decline a little outside of formal education, but Phil never once showed that he had the brains to begin with.
For a long time I thought DSP was on the spectrum in some capacity (and is getting worse as he gets older); this quiz is definitely helping out my theory. He can't figure out anything unless it's completely spelled out for him step by step. Never mind how it never occurred to him to write down his answers here, look at how he was with puzzles in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, how he'll just stick with a strategy for a boss until it works (even if it's ineffective), how he couldn't build anything in Minecraft unless someone made him a guide, how he always relies on chat to tell him what to do (even in his offline life), etc. He's incapable of logical deduction or reasoning.
I still think his personality disorders rule the roost. He's been coddled and sheltered so long that he simply hasn't figured out he's not the only adult on this planet.
Phil's largest problem is he really, really, REALLY cares what strangers think of him. All throughout his life, he's been worried about perception. It's why he overthinks these questions instead of providing a gut response. He desperately needs validation from others and I don't think he can really have a healthy perspective on anything.
Phil will delegate picking choices to his audience often but take credit if it comes out with positive results and blame them if it blows up in his face.
So happy you're doing better! As someone who lost their father to Alcohol Induced Dementia, it is very much a thing. Phil could be having an issue putting info to short term memory.

The question now is Phil even aware the answer's he's giving are his genuine feelings or is he convincing himself of the "correct" choice. Considering he doesn't self-reflect about any aspect of his life he has to just be so used to making up a narrative that reality never comes into play for him.
I know a lot of people probably won't like a word I want to use because of the current times, but dsp is literally regarded. I don't say that to disparage anyone with a mental disability because they can't help the hand they were dealt in life... Dsp, however, has no excuse. He's just lazy in every way. All this quiz proves is that he will find ways to justify his own mental laziness that has deteriorated his brain to the point where he can't understand anything unless it's explicitly told to him in the moment he needs it. It's why he needs to be handheld during every game that isn't made for small children. That is why I say he is regarded. He has literally slowed whatever capability he may have once had (as little as he may have already started aside) with his own laziness.
I think he had damaged his brain with alcohol. If you see him speak he has trouble forming words. There is certain side effect of alcohol over time that causes damage and can impact facial controls.
@@mattroxursoulI definitely see your point as well. Your brain grows weak when you don't use it, and I imagine it accelerates rapidly when you are drowning yourself in alcohol every night while you are pulling hogans... I do not know how someone can live with themselves being like him. But I guess you throw that blatant narcissism to balance out the Dunning Krueger to make you not feel shame about being dumb, and you get dsp!

Hey Steve, very happy to hear that you and your cat are doing well. I can't believe that Phil "Okay I'll open my notes app" and after the very first question "it didn't say to write down anything, right?" This freaking guy, ugh. Miss ya Steve and take it easy.

Happy to see you again! I always appreciate your videos no matter how long or short they are! I'm looking forward to more content! I hope things are well for you and your cat!
55:20 He says he has to go back and go over the questions to get his total, but then totally avoids doing this work and just decides what letter he said the most of based on how he wants to be perceived. Kind of goes against the question about how he'd respond if he made a mistake, doesn't it?
First time viewer. Glad to see someone actually going through the trouble I thought of when I first saw the clip. Thank you kind Sir for sparing me trouble and providing a nice source of entertainment. Hope you're doing well.
Your laugh is so contagious. Really glad you posted this and included King Jad’s video info. This was great on too many points to mention. Look forward to more vids as your health allows. Take your time. We’ll wait ♥️👌🏻
This is a pleasant surprise! Hope you're feeling better! At some point I'd love to see you talk about his meltdown over BG3 and Astarion leaving him. It's like everything wrong with Phil encapsulated in one short clip. Three ready he wants his games to spell out everything, the way he views interpersonal relationships, the way he expects to be told that he is upsetting someone when doing things that piss other people off or it's not valid, the way he views people in terms of what they give him or what they have. It's perfect for you.
Wonderful video, Steve. I've been dying to hear your takes on a lot of DSP's recent shenanigans, and this did NOT disappoint. Glad to hear you and your cat have been doing well. My wife and I love your content, and are really looking forward to seeing more in the future.
Saw your name at the end of members of Boglim Chronicles, if Steve ever needs another lolcow(s) to examine... the Methica and Kingcobra mental examination episodes would be pretty epic. That is quite a cluster of mental breakdown gold gems
Steve! Big ups. Of course you've read fast and slow! I still have yet to finish it. Your videos still give me joy and I hope things go well for you in life. Can't imagine the back pain is making life any easier for you. All the best. All the best.
Just found your channel and instantly subscribed. I've never laughed so hard. XD I feel like Pigroach's brain is just one of those little monkey toys banging the symbols inside.
[novel incoming] First of all, glad you're back with us. Continue taking all the time you need, going at a pace that's suitable for you. And prayers for no complications down the line. Also good to hear you and your cat are well. My main thing is, I have my own view on his answers to the questions. A lot of this will involve mind reading and conjecture, so, bear with me. 1. The thing about this is, answer C, I feel, is actually closest to his genuine mentality on the idea of him and mistakes. The idea of "laughing it off" diminishes the seriousness of it as it relates to him, and asking for help is him outsourcing the work of fixing the mistake to others, as he does with chat or repair people. So, I feel that's closest to his "blame others" MO 2. I feel the overall theme of this question is the idea of managing attachment and managing how much you personalize a change in plans. A basically treats it as one of those things, and doesn't allow this to put any real weight on the relationship; B still has an investment in the relationship, just is less well adjusted to the rest of life interfering with such plans. C, I feel, might seem like a natural act of just rescheduling, but, I feel it's supposed to be framed as a panicking reaction; like, without an assurance that there are still plans in the works, then there might be an (imagined) risk that there is a rift forming. The problem with Phil is, we really only have his streams to look at for understanding his mindset. How often does he complain about unnamed audience members asking for certain games and then not showing up to support? Why, his last direct interaction with Howard was to guilt trip him into coming to his farewell party. So, yeah, I give him a C; namely because in his case, every interaction is transactional, and must be done on his terms; so, he's more attached to an itinerary, rather than the long term state of the bond. 3. I feel this question addresses a certain level of enlightenment and chill about the nature of conflict. With the answers descending in number of age, then, A seems to presuppose that you have a sense that emotions are impermanent, and cooler heads yield better conversations; and you have faith in the relationship to survive a "giving some space" period. While B, again, is still invested in preserving the relationship, but, is more anxious about letting things hang in the air. C, however, seems to indicate two things: one, that the other person's feelings aren't to be taken entirely seriously (laugh it off), and that the first priority is to force a change in their mind (joke to forget). You site how he ran away from his IRL friends, and now we have a situation where he runs his chat like the most cliched dictatorial regime; so, I call C; force change and compliance where you immediately can, and just completely cut ties (move or ban) in all other cases. 4. Yeah, C. This namely goes to how the commonality between A and B is the idea of investing in something that lasts (practically or in terms of memories); whereas B and C share the theme of spending for an emotional hit. Phil's problem is that nearly everything is done on impulse. A was a two part answer: pay debts AND save the rest. Even if we grant him paying off any remaining debts, would he responsibly save the remainder? Change his habits to prevent something like this from happening again? Even if we go with the vacation example, would he actually be thorough and plan it out? Or would he just fly by the seat of his pants and try to pay his way out of every problem or inconvenience he runs across; some of which could be avoided with actual effort in planning. No, C, because any action he would likely take with that money would suffer from the same myopic, impulsive search for immediate gratification. 5. A, but not in a way that gives him a more mature mental age. The answer involves drawing on past experience and insight gained therein to form a reasonably educated guess. DSP, I feel, would go on past experiences, but, more likely rely on rote pattern interpretation, or go off the vibes his memory gives him, rather than deep analysis. 6. This question asked about school or the workplace, a professional or professional-adjacent environment; which DSP hasn't been involved with for a very long time. The question seems to pose a hypothetical about the nature regarding work or processes of some kind; where there would be an objective best answer, and discussing with your colleagues or superiors to fill in the gaps and blind spots, and discover that best answer, would be the goal. DSP treats this merely as a personal disagreement, and thinks that disagreement shouldn't be cause to at least make you curious about the other perspective. No, first priority, always, is to be the "winner". 7. It's strange, B seems like it should be the lower answer since C at least tries to incorporate productivity and rest into a rhythm where they can coexist. Of course, you talking about him not being proactive is right on the money. 8. I know you say all of them. C fits because I feel it speaks to how the most minor of things he doesn't want to bother with. Basically C and everything above it. In fact, if he didn't have to pay bills, I can see him hiring house keeping to come in on his day out. 9. I feel B is close in terms of his actual actions. Like, he only really talks to his stream chat, and I doubt he knows them well enough to give a compliment with substance. Like B, but he says "yeah, I know" 10. Yeah, he wants to be A; but, perhaps a part of him has accepted he's going to keep getting embarrassed. Though it bothers his ego, I consider that to be less of a motivator for him than laziness and greed. So, if he can push past the pain and rake in enough money to drown out any introspection, he can continue coasting. So, B. Ultimately, given how he's a reclusive streamer who runs his stream the way he does, his life is so divergent from the "average" person this quiz would be modeled for as to make it borderline useless. But, I feel we don't need it to see just how immature his mentality is.
54:48 I started laughing immediately. IMMEDIATELY. The first thing he was told to do was record his answers and he even opened the notes app on his phone. He answered every question and at no point did he think to type.
He is 41 and is throwing himself a birthday party this weekend. Pretty sure that sums it up.

He answers the first question by making up an option to double check. Then he makes a mistake, but doesn't double check the beginning of the quiz. His mind simply exists to defend itself from being called an idiot.

Good to see you bACK steve. A little disappointed this isn't 6-8 hours long like normal, because they are great to listen to throughout the day correct? OMM..anyway guys steves bACK so you better support okay?
Woah, a video that isn't 8+ hours? Who are you and where's the real Steve?! Jokes aside, glad to see you're back :)
Per usual, phil makes up his own answers to fit his skewed self-image. Doob lives in his own reality.
Awesome to see a new vid Steve. As someone with an extremely bad back (different reasons), i hope most of your issues have been fixed/reduced and you get better soon Steve. 🤟😁
Exactly. Choice C for the first question should have been blame others.
Hey Steve, very happy to hear that you and your cat are doing well. I can't believe that Phil "Okay I'll open my notes app" and after the very first question "it didn't say to write down anything, right?" This freaking guy, ugh. Miss ya Steve and take it easy.
0:4:34 "... there are ten questions to answer so make sure you mark your answers as we go"
Its great to see you back Steve. Glad to hear you're recovering from the fusion. Its a process, but you've got this!
Steve's back yeeeeeeeeeeeee
New Steve video 👀 let's freaking go!!
Edit: Yes Steve that's exactly what he expected, school years instructions.
I would love to see DSP react to this video... without skipping any of it!
Hell YEEEEAAAHHHHH!!!!
good to have you back my man hope your well
Glad you're doing better!
I'm blown away that DSP wondered what to do after the first question. That's a classic 404 error there.
Diving into the mind of this man just gets me angry....
Phil is the person he complains about with book smarts but no street smarts.
The difference between knowledge and...wisdom. Yes, I stole that from Attack of the Clones.
He talks a talk but cannot walk the walk
He can only fake it and make it eBegging in his closed little room with few people who rely on public ssdi funding...
He doesn't have any smarts. Dood can't correctly pronounce half the words that come out of his stroke mouth.
Happy to see you again! I always appreciate your videos no matter how long or short they are! I'm looking forward to more content! I hope things are well for you and your cat!
Steve has returned! I was gonna put "Steve is back" but that's a sore subject...
*bACK
Zing!
Great to have your analysis back!
This test was "how would humans expect me to react to these situations?"
Thanks for the video Steve! Take all the time you need to fully recover.
I’m glad you are feeling better and are doing videos again. My my work day so much better.
Steve! Im so glad to see you back. I love your longform videos and i hope your back heals well.
Didn't expect this, but it's been a very pleasant surprise. All good Steve, insightful as always. Cheers
Glad to know you and the kitty are doing well. Great video, appreciate all you do.
Thanks for this one Steve. And hope for speedy recovery 🙂👍
As soon as I saw you uploaded, I knew this was going to be a good day.
Saw your name at the end of members of Boglim Chronicles, if Steve ever needs another lolcow(s) to examine... the Methica and Kingcobra mental examination episodes would be pretty epic. That is quite a cluster of mental breakdown gold gems
I effin love the wall of how Philbert pronounces words 😂
Holy shit! Glad to see you making videos again man 🙏
Thank you for dropping this video! Get well soon!! Big ups!!! 🙏🏼
!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hilarious, and so insightful on Phil's immaturity. It's great to see you back, Steve. I hope your recovery is going well!
yaaaaaaay! great to have you back steve, great to see your on the mend !!! ❤
I'm glad to see you back, you got the best detractor content hands down. Have a great day sir Steve
Honestly I’ve been waiting for this
Great to see you back, Steve!
Welcome back, bro. This was a good one.
Steve! Big ups. Of course you've read fast and slow! I still have yet to finish it. Your videos still give me joy and I hope things go well for you in life. Can't imagine the back pain is making life any easier for you. All the best. All the best.
well done (again) Steve! Keep these vids coming.
Always look forward to a new video from you, been dying to watch you dissect the interview also.
Fresh Steve let's goooo
Hope you make a full recovery soon man
Just found your channel and instantly subscribed. I've never laughed so hard. XD I feel like Pigroach's brain is just one of those little monkey toys banging the symbols inside.
The best part is he opens his notepad and doesn't note his answers
Great to see you again, Steve!
mind blowing stuff sotd, part 2 tomorrow. Thanks and make sure you got lombard supprt. Glad you are fighting fit :)
Happy days are here again
Good to see you back Steve
[novel incoming]
First of all, glad you're back with us.
So, I feel that's closest to his "blame others" MO
Like B, but he says "yeah, I know"
THATS STEVE OF THE DEADS MUSIC!!!!
Can't wait to watch this man!
Great stuff, Steve.
54:48 I started laughing immediately. IMMEDIATELY.
The first thing he was told to do was record his answers and he even opened the notes app on his phone. He answered every question and at no point did he think to type.
Glad to see you back Mr Of The Dead, glad the op went ok, glad glad glad glad *thumbs up*
Glad to see you up and at it again Steve big ups
