  • I finally get my boat out on the water and chase some trophy lake trout using our Large Lake Trolls and the 6.5" Mega Tubes. Trolling 60-90 ft putting these our tube jig as close to the bottom as we can withour tearing our equipment up.

    Hello Colton I have been watching your friend Don for the last couple years and have learned a lot from him. This video is great. I used to fish flaming gorge with my dad for big Lakers about 30 years ago. Back then he made his own lake trolls and they were top secret haha we used to pull them out of the water and get them down in the boat so others couldn't see what we were using. We primarily fished for the Lakers with steel line dragging bottom rigged with lake trolls and various patterns of large flat fish. I watched Don's video the other day using your lake troll and it sparked my memories. You make great products and I have been trying to catch some Kokanee with my son with your stuff. So far we have not had to much luck but I know the fishing has been tough the last couple years. But I am going to stick with it I am sure I will have a lucky day sooner or later haha. Keep up the good work Colton I am going to keep watching you and Don to learn all I can thanks for sharing your knowledge.

      Thank you for your support. Kokanee fishing has been tough, but I believe the state agencies will get this back on track over the next few years.

    That's a lot of bling. I catch em on 1.5 inch Little Cleo spoons. No flasher, no dodger, no down rigger in spring from kayak. Got a 10lber I weighed a few weeks ago on my channel.

    Very nice lakers, I usually jig for them but you've convinced me to try trolling.

    Are Lake Trout any good to eat?

    • @LakeShoreTackle08

      The small ones are great

    • @nathanmccullough7755
      @nathanmccullough7755 3 месяца назад

      small ones are and keeping them is encouraged. The larger ones really should not be kept both because they aren't great to eat but more importantly, because they are a very slow growing fish. The trophy class fish are decades old. Keeping them is very bad for the fishery and really is not a sustainable practice.
