Thanks for the video! I just had a test drive on a 2018 Spyder RT Limited yesterday and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! I have had numerous motorcycles before and my last one was a Honda Goldwing GL1800 so I am no stranger to comfort! I was impressed with how smooth the Spyder handled and was happy that it was not a dog to ride. I had a few semi spirited takeoffs during the test ride but nothing extreme and it was nice! The whole experience was really fun and I can now see myself owning one where I was skeptical before. The strangest feeling was the first time leaving the parking lot and instinctively reaching for a clutch to brake handle! The other strange thing was reminding myself that the only way to stop the trike was the foot pedal!

Your videos are nice and to the point. I'm really thinking of getting a Can-Am Spyder. You give a lot of helpful information.
After 30 years of riding lots of Harley’s models,one Indian and of course my first ride Honda Shadow I have been considering getting the all new 2019 /2020 top of the line Can Am’s the RT Limited , I believe that is the top of the line, please correct me if I’m wrong, I love the look of the RT and will call a dealer here in Montreal,Quebec to go for a test ride or just rent one for the weekend to see how the transition from 2 wheels to three wheels sits right with me, after watching many RUclips videos all of riders find turning weird on this bike because you don’t have to turn like you normally would do on a 2 wheel, I will decide for myself next weekend,after 2 knee operations I can’t ride my fat boy anymore, to painful,so I’m really hoping that I will enjoy the ride so I can purchase my new ride, I just wanted to thank you very much for all your informative videos that helped me decide and take action, ride safe brother ✌️
And keep in mind, its what "Magic Carpet" you ride, as long as it has the Magic!!!

You've probably heard that some in the motorcycling community refer to them as a Frike (front wheeled trike) and the front storage is a Frunk (front trunk)... just a little info there.... My brother is enjoying his red '16 RT....
But Jim, it must have two in the back to be called a Trike. In my flying days, the first generation of airplanes with a tail wheel evolved into the tail wheel moving forward called Tricycle gear...

Great vids, what about a maintenance video? What type of oil and does the belt need adjusting? How many miles/kms on your's? Have you had any problems? Thanks in advance - Rennie in Halifax during a very cold winter but not too much snow to date??? Got out for a two hour ride on my VFR1200X on Jan. 27, roads were dry and no salt but cold...LOL.
Doing a brake inspection and flush brake fluid video soon. Oil changes are every 9000 or 12 months. Installed a rear tire at 11,000 miles, Not much ells to talk about...

They were on the spyder when I picked it up, the brand name on the side is "Drink2go", made from a hard plastic. Thanks for watching.

I dont know, Not an experiment i want to try! But as all the electrical is controlled by the Cam-Bus system, I bet one must be stopped or almost stopped for it to activate.
Hi John & Miriam, I have a 2012 Can-Am Spyder RT, that I cannot release/ cancel out of Reverse, cannot Gearshift back to Neutral into first gear, also can I get out of gear with a dead battery? please help thanks advance your kind reply is appreciated.
Sharon, I regret to say that is beyond my skill set. If you have the Simi auto transmission, try disconnect the battery for about 1 min and try again. The Spyder has a "CAN-Bus" (multi computers) that can act out some times if after market electrical stuff is hard wired into the system. If that does not work, I would call a Spyder service center,, Sorry..
John my name i Louis i have spyder 2011 rs s se5 it is orange/ black i had it for two years and I enjoy very much we ride it every chance we get i went from a Harley my lag would give out when I was holding it up so then my wife would stop riding with me then I would have to do something different we bought the spyder and know she ride with me and I enjoy the back ground music were can I find it i love that kind of music kept doing the video there i enjoy them i hope we get to talk some day life is good 👍 God bless
