    To help it a bit more sticking a small piece of foil in the burnt up area will help in giving a little more contact to the pin. Just a small piece you may have to adjust the amount you put in so you can still get the plug back on.

    It did, but what else I did not mention is I added a very small amount of foil. Into the pin hole to get contact on the pin. Now from the time I made this video to now I have not had any problems with the heated seats. Hope this help thanks for watching.

    Or there is what you mentioned is jumping the wire I’m sure that will also work. Because all you are doing is getting contact back to the two. Now if you want to go that far my suggestion is adding a resistor between the two to cut some power down, but as I mentioned before I have not had any problems with what I did.

    Updates? Did this fix last long? Myself along with thousands of others are looking for the easy fix to this. The dealership wants to charge $1000+ to fix this. I know this issue is too much power going to the ground wire pin causing it to melt due to crappy manufacturing. Now they are recommending jump wires and such. But In the mean time did this fix your issue long term so far?

    My dash board shows everything is working, heated & cooled seats on the dash are on. Still no heat or cooled feeling coming to both front seats. Any insight would be appreciated, what do you suggest? I have no burnt connections.

    So my heated seats don’t work. But cooled seats do work...I replaced the connector that was burnt, and still nothing. You hear the click and all when you turn them on...any idea?

    could a person cut the wire that burns and add a inline fuse, what size fuse and how close to plug. I bent the pin but quite working, burning again hence the easy to change fuse.

    Worked great on passenger side, however the drivers side is totally different? Am I missing something?

    • @martinureste5770
      @martinureste5770  Год назад +1

      Its hard for me to say I had gotten rid of that vehicle, but I think thats the only plug that works both sides. If the passenger side is the only one working there might be an issue with the heating element on the driver side seat. Does the light come on when you press the on the heated seat switch? If not it could be the switch try replacing it. If it does work then check fuses that work the heated seats. Other than that it could be a bad heated seat. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help, but with a little more digging through the interwebs Im sure you will find your answer good luck.

    How long have you owned this suv? Have you had any major problem? I heard most have transmission problem like the odyssey. My friend bought a used 2011 normal escalade 2 years ago with 72k miles, he just replaced the transmission with 125k miles.

    • @martinureste5770
      @martinureste5770  4 года назад +2

      KennyT I’ve had it a few years I got it at 120000 miles in it and now it’s a little over 150000 transmission still going strong no issues yet. Now having said that you may have just cursed me lol.

      @@martinureste5770 Thanks for the fast reply. You'll be alright man, lol. It's just luck if the draw. Most will be ok, some will get a bad one. I'm looking real hard @07 ESV vs a suburban. Good luck man!

    • @martinureste5770
      @martinureste5770  4 года назад +2

      KennyT I’m actually going to have the transition serviced fluid change and filter I think if it’s kept up properly it should go for a long time. Now any suv is not a race car if it’s treated like one and to much torque is applied rapidly it will probably wear the transmission before it’s time. You got to think this thing weighs a lot especially when pulling or having it packed with the family and gear. I’m not saying to baby the thing but ease into where your going instead of gunning it. It should last a long time. I have a 1996 GMC pickup w/ 237000 miles on it, and I never had the transmission serviced. The engine and transmission I think will outlast the body of the vehicle which by the way is rusting on a lot of spots. I guess it all depends on how it was treated before the next buyer.

      @@martinureste5770 Just get it change, don't flush it. I heard it's a BAD idea to get 6.2 flush. I just sold my 07 navigator ultimate today with 199k miles, bought 4 years ago w/132k miles, nothing major. I did all the maintenance and repair, just normal fluids change, rear differential fluid, window regulators (these go out once or twice a year, lol), coils & plugs, and alternator. I had a 2000 navigator that I bought brand new and sold it 6 years later 120k miles, I didn't do any maintenence on it because I didn't know, nothing was wrong. I like navigators & suburbans as they were built to last. I also read that Yukon XL are good too, also a lot of people have escalade that last forever. Hopefully, I'll get a good one, lol.

      I own 2010 and it has 196k still strong transmission I’m about to drop the pan and change oil and filter myself. I think regular maintenance to the transmission and keeping eye on transmission temp is the best way to keep it strong. Learn lesson with my 4l60e burned 3rd and 4 gear at 240k

      Daniel Haller the only way to find out is see if there is one that looks identical to the one under the passenger seat, but now that I think about it neither heated seat worked until I did this. So I would venture to say they both run off the same one, but don’t quote me on that I’m not 100%
