I love the cottagecore aesthetic but often there's so much going on in the photos that it can be overwhelming to try to paint. You've demonstrated really well here the ways in which these ideas can be simplified so they're not as daunting, but still look beautiful ☺

I love all the paintings but my favorites were def the one with the little house and bunny it’s so cute and I think your absolutely right that your landscapes would be a lot more fun with little characters in them . And that basket of fruit was amazing it def looked woven to me you did a great job on it.They all turned out really cute.Thanks for sharing your art with us.

Tangerine and mandarins altho both mini oranges aren’t the same thing . We have them both in the U.K. . Love the basket painting the most . It’s stunning .

what is gottagecore?? I get the cottage but why core?
I think it means that it's a "core" element in the style or genre. Like metalcore in music for example it describes a genre that is centered around that thing. Cottagecore romanticizes the country life, not always in a realistic light but a dreamy version of it. Hope that helps 😊
I did my very first drawing this past week and at least 30 people told me they liked it and I’m still thinking “ yuck”
