Thanks for sharing the details of the oil and filter change and what you use to connect to the OBD port. I have a gen 3 too and want to do my own maintenance. Congratulations on the new bike 👍…
Why do you fill up the oil filter with oil, knowing that based on the mounting position most of it will make it's way down to earth? (serious question - I know bout the recommended film on the rubber ring, just don't get the fill-up...)
It will spill a little bit which is okay. You want to get the filter element soaked and have as much oil in the filter as possible, so when you start the bike takes less time for the filter to fill up and the oil to reach where it needs to go.
@@CubanRider MXR is not actually a motorcycle for everyone. But since you do a lot of performance riding, I think this is the right motorcycle for you.👍
GS-911: special adapter only needed if you got the old (round) version... flat OBD port is pretty standard for many years now.
I'm behind the times 😄

Congratulations on the new bike looks like alot of fun! Waiting to see some action on the track
yeaahhhh !!!
Is this the first service after some riding? Congrats on this beautiful bike!
The tease continues
😁
curious how much was the electronic tool for removing the service reminder and removing rpm limit
What size is the oil filter wrench ? Thanks in advance
Great man, don't you lose warranty if you do it on your own?
If you document it, use the specified oil and filter, and do it correctly there's no basis for a dealership or manufacturer to deny warranty 👍
Can you reach with the torque wrench to tighten the oil filter?
Never have, always hand tight. For added security you can install a clamp around the filter to prevent it from coming loose.
So...when you heading back to the Dragon??!
After that re-pave. 😈

Congrats on the new beast.. she’s a beauty 🤌🏼
The correct chassis code is k63 for the 22+ single R
Ah! Thanks for the heads up, I'll change it up.
Do dealer care if you do first service?
They would rather have you do it with them, but it's definitely not free like with their cars.
does it loose warranty if i change oil and filters every year myself? @@CubanRider
Congrats my friend! Did you keep the XR??
Still have one XR. 🙂
@@CubanRiderready to see that new beauty!!😍👍
I was guessing you would buy m1000xr...I bought the M1000XR because I couldn't give up on the XR. but The boring part is waiting for delivery..👎
True. I'll wait until the M-XRs hit the dealerships and once the market cools down a little I'll see if I can get a good deal on one.

Is it noticeably faster than your XR?
Not really, about the same.
Congratulations, is it the M1000r or S1000r ?
The slow one
