Facing towards your light source is okay if you want that "everything evenly lit" look. What's interesting is when you said this, at 2.25, that type of lighting is ideal because it gives shape to ones face, because the side further away from the light falls into a soft, but beautiful shadow. I would suggest facing your window at a 45 degree angle instead of face on. Shadows are your friends!
Love your videos! Thanks for all you advice and tips! 👌🏽
I have question. Do you recommend to use Ring Light + 2 box soft light for better resolution for reels MAKEUP TRANSFORMATION.. Or Only Ring light should be fine ?? Please help.. thanks
Another great and helpful video!!
Awww, thanks, Miriam!!
Your videos are awesome! Keep it up!
Hello, Thank you for this great video. When i set that up however it was hard for me to look into the light. I kept blinking. Also I usually use some notes and I wouldnt be able to read them. Is it better for me to use a ring light?
Maybe a natural light/window would work best! Even if it's to your side - that way, you can still look at your notes!
Love your videos!!! Watching them all!
Question about reels-are you doing them all direct from reels or making videos on your phone and importing them to reels or making in iMovie?
I make 99% of my reels on my phone! For the other 1% I use final cut pro, only because I already have it and am familiar with it but it's not really necessary
I always learn something new from you. thanks for the tips.xxx love from London
Yay! So glad it helped! 🥰
You're so sweet! Thanks for sharing :)
I always relied on sunlight but since it has been raining since days I need to find alternatives
Ugh so frustrating!
I don’t really have a lot of window light
Try a soft box!
Very helpful thank you so much
Thanks for watching!!
Do you have suggestions on microphones for content creation?
absolutely!! this one! bit.ly/3iV18Dv
very good video thanks
Ohhh I so need tips on lighting....
Hope this helped!! ❤️✨
Thanks so much for this Stephanie! Unfortunately I record video in a basement as that’s where I have the most space. What do I do without a window? Is it the same concept, the more lighting on each side and in front of myself the better?
Yup that's what I would do! I would use each lighting setup you have as a "window" and think of it that way!
@Stephanie Kase Hey, Stephanie where did you get your ring light from.
Where r u from??
Yo mama

It seems like the ring light could also function as a tripod. If I don't want to spend much money yet, would it make better sense to get the ring light?
Starting with the ring light is a great idea! You can always add on later if you think you need another device! 💛
Good job but do less talks n more demos 🙏🙏
Thanks for watching, Susan!
