I'm not going to defend Sarah, but I will point out that it might actually have been _worse_ if she'd told Kira "I'll be back" as you suggested. I think part of her was already contemplating suicide, and if she'd made a promise to her daughter, and then broke the promise _that way,_ it would have been even worse than if she just did the deed!

Great reaction as usual, Kelsea. Honest emotions and raw feelings are gold. Sarah is a troubled individual, and she makes unbelievably stupid decisions based on emotion and gut. She's a reactor, not a thinker. But who are we to judge? We are all flawed. Sarah is never mentioned as anyone's fav clone, but she is the glue. "Bring us together Sarah, we need you." Beth whispers before disappearing.
Tataina is superb. She's my favorite clone. 😁

I have mixed feelings about the situation here. Because I understand what you're saying, you're totally right. But at the same time, I can't help but empathize with Sarah. It's hard to be rational when you're dealing with so much, as well as carrying a lot of trauma, and it seems logical to me that she would have a "relapse". Besides, one night of madness doesn't seem so bad to me compared to everything she's done in the past. I mean, we know she's far from the perfect mom but at least now she's really trying. Again, I know it's still wrong and her behavior is very harmful and irresponsible at times like this but I just can't judge her that way.
Anyway, I always support you being this honest and expressing what you feel ❤️

    • @KelseasComments
      @KelseasComments  Год назад +1

Thanks friend. 🥰 And ya I'm relieved it was just one night. I mean I think we can only say it was just one harmless night because Fe went and brought her home. It was far from a harmless night. She was literally spiraling towards self destruction which is far from harmless when you have a child that wants to have a mom still. But yes, luckily she put an end to her relapse in time. And I ended the episode with a smile and saying "they both behaved badly and they're both sorry." She came home. Forgiven. That's all it took. And I empathize with Sarah too. But you can empathize with someone and still call out their bad behavior. Both can be true. I just know that Sarah is stronger than that, and she knows that too, which is why she went with Fe instead of Beth. But again, she came home. That's what matters. I discuss my frustrations with her in the outro because I don't have time to get deep into my thoughts while the episode is going. So I have to go back and let myself discuss everything that is on my mind from the episode. But the episode ended with me being super happy that Sarah went home and Mrs. S apologized. I judge people based on their growth just as much as their mistakes. ❤️ And I think people are a little disingenuous with the judgment thing. Judgment isn't inherently bad. Everyone makes judgments on people for all sorts of things both good or bad. Our entire lives are a never ending process of judgments. Like all that means is you're taking in information about someone or something and coming to a conclusion. And that's really healthy to do as long as it's not based on any toxic biases and stuff. There's a reason "use your best judgement" is a phrase. Everyone judges everyone, we all just have our own criteria for doing so. I'm a mom and I have grown up around addiction so of course my natural gut instincts are going to be making judgments with this in mind. We're all allowed to decide how we feel about people and their decisions. And judging a person's behavior as harmful doesn't mean you don't have empathy for them. I'm judging her behavior not her reasons for the behavior. I feel terrible that those reasons exist. But it doesn't change the fact (in my opinion) that the behavior is harmful. Ya know? Anyway, i don't know where that little rant came from so I'll stop now lol. But I'm so glad that Sarah came home and she and Mrs S can heal. 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

why are u judging every character by individual moments they might be having? theyre still human. grieving and making shitty desisions comes with the territory of being a person, let them say the wrong stuff, let them fuck up. theyre complex flawed individuals, all of them, all of us. ure totally free to have ur takes, wouldnt ask for anything less. but take them for what they are, moments in a persons life. dont reduce the people to a moment, a choice, a prhase, a look. enjoy having the privilege of watching them grow. ure watching the human experience. making sour faces when someone isnt perfect for u standard of human being is kida icky, no offense.

How exactly am I not doing that? I'm reacting to their moments. Which are worthy of being called out. And then I discuss. And then I move on. If you come back every week then you should know that as quickly as I call out the bad behavior, I cheer for their growth and redemption just as quickly. I truly don't understand how I'm not doing exactly what you say I should. Sounds like you just don't want me to ever open my mouth or show any negative reaction and I can only react or speak up if I'm being supportive. Which is an odd take. So unless you want to clarify what you mean and explain what you even mean by this comment, I would encourage you to read your own comment a few times and realize that you're complaining about me doing exactly what you say I should do. It makes no sense. Also, "enjoy the privilege of watching them grow." ? Please don't tell me how I should experience a tv show. Thank you.

I love the music in the arrest scene. And coming right after Sarah hitting a clear low point. Good juxtaposition.
Just like all the Sestras give Sarah some time. Remember, you didn't like Helena at first. They all play their roles.
My then wife almost got arrested while VERY pregnant with our daughter. We were involved in a protest (won't go into the politics). I did the organizing and made sure the people with me would be safe from arrest, right down to forming a relationship with the police. My wife showed up later and started berating people coming out of a theater. Again, avoiding politics, I can't say what she was saying it but many New Yorkers felt it at the time. So she was expressing what a lot of us felt. One of the people she was berating turned to her and yelled, "Shame on you for getting knocked up!" Well, that set my wife off and she chase them down the street.
As I turned to see what was going on, I saw a police officer chasing after my very pregnant wife while she chased people we were protesting down the street in Manhattan. I was trying to get there in time to diffuse the situation but also didn't want to seem a threat to the officer. I was picturing her getting arrested and giving birth in detention.
The officer got to her first and tapped her on the shoulder. She turned and he said, "Are you alright?"
She smiled and cheerfully said, "Oh yes, I am fine!"
The people she was chasing made their escape and I was able to breathe again. She is tough as nails.

The way kelsea came at Sarah with such vitriol really shows the privilege of her life tbh hahaha Respectfully; if you can’t understand what a guilt bender is, be quiet. “I don’t know why she didn’t talk to Kira” sis she was literally taking drugs and about to jump off a bridge. Why would she tell a child that “she goes through teenage mode” oofff you’ve never had any negative coping mechanisms AT ALL. Lmao. This privileged speak is the exact same reason why my sister fell deeper into addiction and ended up dying 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣
“Kira is too” Kira has Mrs S and Fee. Yeah mum should be there too, but she was (clearly) not mentally okay.
“You can’t act out when you’re at your lowest” sis really doesn’t understand what trauma is 🤣🤣
This is the same logic as when family members call su!c!de victims selfish for wanting to die while ignoring everything that resulted in the attempt in the first place 🤦🏻‍♀️
I also love how she was like “as a mom, as a mom” etc. if she talks to her kids like THAT if they’re ever coping with trauma I can only imagine where they’ll end up 🤦🏻‍♀️
Like I get it, I’ve lived around addicts, it’s a toxic thing to see and be around, but at the same time, there’s a reason. It’s literally cause and effect. Nobody CHOOSES to off themselves or go on huge benders unless they feel it’s their only choice.

I'm the one that takes care of my nieces and nephews when my siblings decide they don't want to act like parents. But go off. I grew up around addiction. And yes, it's a choice. It's choosing to continue the cycle. The fact that you somehow think my life was perfect and my addict siblings life and mine were totally different and happened in vacuums is hilarious. I just don't use my trauma as an excuse to traumatize others, especially my children. And never had any negative coping mechanisms?? That's hilarious. I self harmed all the way through middle school and high school, I've nearly been hospitalized with an eating disorder, I WAS hospitalized for 2 months after a suicide attempt, and I was addicted to Xanax at one point. Guess what I did? I finally took responsibility for my life and my actions and I GOT BETTER. and when I became a mom I actually grew the fuck up like I was supposed to.
