Great episode. Kanwal. Soo much going on in just 35 minutes. Wish we could have dramas like these.
You’re also an excellent host, only guiding your guests, not intruding upon their thoughts.

It is beautiful beyond words. I am 38 year old happily married woman and we only realise later in life, how much of our life is influenced by our upbringing. The feeling of happiness you mentioned,ki sab Sahi hai, when you see your parents happy together,is the most secure feeling in the world. Seeing my dad never raise his voice, seeing my mum having a strong say at home, led me to find a husband who treats me as equal and we always hold hands, give hugs, snuggle with eachother and our son.

I really love how that lovely smile came to her face when she was talking about her parents intimacy and her present husband.✨
She's feeling the same intimacy which she saw between her parents ❤
I wish i could have the same in future ☺️

Much needed topic... 💕 My parents are literally not talking to each other since two years.. they communicate through us; their children. I always want them to be happy with one another but they do not like to be with one another. They show everyone outside the family that every thing is okay but nothing is okay 😔They don't want to sit with one another.. they don't sit in same room even with us. we siblings are always in state of stress due to the environment of house..I literally feel suffocation even in my own house due to their behaviour. Now they have to deal with new relatives; in laws of their daughters and I don't know where will it go . I just wish I could see them happy with one another.
    Need prayers people.. !!

Perhaps it would be beneficial for someone to communicate to them that the option of leaving is available. It is possible that staying in the relationship is causing them to sacrifice their own happiness. They may be searching for freedom, and as Dania's Mamu or Mom did, someone should support them in pursuing what they truly desire. There is no need to continue to put on a façade for the sake of a new relationship with daughters’ in-laws or others. If they cannot find a way to move forward together, then perhaps it is best for them to part ways and follow their own paths.

Such a beautiful episode. I grew up around so much intimacy and adoration in parents and even in my mother's aunt and her husband. My parents would hug every day and my mother was always waiting by the door for him to come home. She got the first hug and then us and I never thought it was weird. Their "love story" was the talk of the family. I called them Nana and Nano. He would serenade her at every family gathering, unkay liye gajrey le k atay that and being in their company showed me what being in love felt like. Thank you for hosting Kanwal!

Wow. The only intimacy I saw in my parents was when I caught them hugging in the kitchen and they suddenly pulled away from each other. So I also thought that intimacy only means sex. The only other thing they did was fight. I got married recently and a whole new world has opened up, I thought I would hate touch but it's my favourite part of my relationship. I just hope I can show my children a stable loving relationship instead of what I grew up with

Everything she said in the episode resonates with me so closely. Grew up seeing the positive intimacy, moved cities, things changed, there was a void given the circumstances but things fell back in place a few years later.
So happy that mom still kisses dad goodbye and dad's first hug is still reserved for mom and they are both in their mid 50s. There are always flowers and hugs after an argument happens in front of us, even to date.
    Can't imagine a life otherwise ❤

Adding to this when my husband kisses me, my son gets shy and cant see us kissing then my husband always tells him she is the one and only who i can legally kiss so you don’t have to be surprised. Now after watching i feel it is so necessary to stay this close to your partner. Thanks Kanwal 👍🏻

Just love this episode. Hope that parents in our society understand that how this intimacy is important for the mental well-being of their kids. Physical, emotional and intellectual intimacy is very important and people should understand that if they can have an argument in front of their kids then they should show intimacy as well so that their kids understands that these two things are the part of married life, it's not only the arguments that happened in married life but their is also love, their is intimacy and care as well.

    WOW ❕ ❤
My partner and I have been married for 24 years and have experienced all types of intimacy that Dania discussed, though we were not aware of the specific terms until now. These include affectional, emotional, social, intellectual, physical and spiritual intimacy. While our sexual intimacy has evolved over time and grown in the past 10 years only but was never missed. Since we have found contentment in the other forms of connection that we share. We believe that each type of intimacy takes its own turn, and by indulging in all of them, we appreciate the depth of our togetherness.
Any ups and downs of life and kids' nurturing becomes so smooth when all is well and beautiful between the partners.
The CWK team and Dania's discussions on this topic have been enlightening, and we are grateful for their efforts in raising awareness about the different forms of intimacy. ❤

Glad this topic of intimacy was discussed. I've noticed that the newer generation couples in my family and friends are very open to being intimate with each other, privately and in front of their kids. This is because they lacked seeing emotional/physical intimacy in their households growing up and didn't want the same environment for their kids.

    A breath of fresh air!
This intelligent lady surely knows how to be introspective, how to find positivity in tough situations, how to give her all to grow & nurture relationships, how to analyze & give credit where it belongs, how to express herself, but most of all, I am impressed by her strength & bravery. Kudos to her parents, but also to her for being so resilient & giving life a chance.
She’s given me a lot to think about. And I am sure there are different aspects of her interview that will resonate with scores of people. There is much more in this than kinds of intimacy, there are so many life lessons to be learnt here.
Thank you for another amazing episode, Conversations with Kanwal… your team is just phenomenal!!!

Really enjoyed the episode.....there are 2 parts to her conversation that will have impact on the society.....1 educating people on intimacy with in the household and the positive affects it has on the child and how the relationship between the parents become an anchor for the child for life.... 2, the second aspect of the conversation holding affect on society and the way people normalise certain things is, educating people on pre-marital relationships....this convo normalises pre-marital relationship in society. On her part, done innocently to protect herself from landing into a bad relationship..but when spoken on platforms, takes up a shape of endorsment , even when done undelibrately....its her story and a brave one indeed, but as with everything else in life, must be seen through the lense of God before we allow it to become an deep, integral part of ourselves.

This is a very unusual topic but a very beautifully explained topic , building the right connect and developing a right perspective.. really like your work … topic without borders and nationality ❤️❤️
