So heartfelt. The episode is not just about PCOS but about how toxic people can get with their words for another human. Honestly, there is less empathy in us and we are more judgemental (even towards our ownselves). We all need to learn to tone down and quieten the critic to feel peace and joy within us-thats where acceptance for ourselves and others begin

Being overweight becomes all consuming so that you don't see your worth beyond it. I am so happy for you that you found self acceptance which I still struggle with at some level. Body shaming is everywhere around the world. Unfortunately it's not just society but it's family. If your family is always there to love you irrespective of what others vomit nothing can break you, but within our society we really need change.
Thank you for sharing Hira. This is so powerful. It takes a lot of courage to come on a public platform and be vulnerable. I see you, I feel you and I am inspired by you! Thank you so much for becoming voice for so many of us who don't have the courage.
Hira’s eloquence and clarity of thought, her ability to express herself so beautifully is just so inspiring! What a beautiful soul, so brave & resilient mashaAllah! May Allah SWT bless her supportive family & especially her Mother whose positive impact made Hira a force of nature. May she continue to help others & live a blissful life. Aameen Thank you Conversation with Kanwal for another amazing episode. #sspsquad
I think this was the best episode of this season. I connected with it so well because I’m struggling with PCOS as well. Thank you for sharing this journey.
Our society compounds the struggle of a person going through a challenging phase in life. All the whys, the finger pointing and ridicule. However, Hira has shown that it is possible to come to a better place in life through positive thinking and proactiveness. How lucky her students are to have her in their lives.
People body shame, people age shame, people status shame, people color shame withouth realizing the person is already struggling dont put more negative. More power to Hira
You are amazing dear sister, people accept you to look a certain weight anymore above it is unacceptable, I am broad and chubby however always told you are heavy , food is my best friend .I am in my fifties started gym 9 yrs back I feel the best alhamdulillah .

Totally relatable. I have pcos from the age of 13 years. I am 28 n a half. The whole life has been a struggle. I did keto for sometime everything got better for a while and now again after i left it gained weight.. the problem is insulin resistance and it causes every other thing like pcos, metabolic syndrome brain fog etc etc. Being a dr helps with understanding what's going on with my body.. unfortunately there's no cure discovered yet but can be managed with lifestyle modifications. Medicines are never going to help in this situation. It's just that the body is in a fight n flight state all the time and our immune system is fighting with our own body.. only we can slow it down by not being too hard on ourselves..
@madihaumer3199 pcos unfortunately doesn't go away permanently. Until now there's no cure for it. Different types of causes are being identified. We can only manage.. mera masla beech mein diet se behtar hua tha but now after losing weight and leaving diet 2 saal se wapas wohi issues.. starting again tomorrow .. it's a constant struggle

I've been through extreme PCOS about four times since I was 13, it was so difficult. I totally relate with the stress-eating part because food is the only thing that keeps you going through that phase. Cz otherwise you're already struggling with the energy levels, periods, taunts of others, stress, depression, your own body image, self esteem and tonnes of other issues; so, yes, at that time, the only solution u feel like would work is being in your own shell. Thankfully, I tried therapy without anyone knowing, my family still doesn't know, and it helped a lot, after 2 years of continuous struggle with talk therapy as I didn't want to take antidepressants. P.S. my PCOS was misdiagnosed as well, earlier it was just considered a skin allergy, n I tried all sorts of meds, homeopathic, allopethic, herbal, qarshi, Desi hakeems everything, and later after about 5 years struggle and research, I got to know that it's PCOS not just skin allergy or hairfall or acne or weight gain. And yes, your mental health is the first thing that keeps leading you back to square one, from where it all started 😢
I can totally relate with her. I was diagnosed with PCOS at the early age of 13 years with lots of period issues. I always faced weight issues despite doing regular exercise and diet and always hear "moti" word 😑. As PCOS is also tranferred genitically, my daughter also developed PCOS from same early age and she is also facing weight issues and bullying in school. I try my best to make her strong ask her not to take these things serious. But still it put impact on her mind. Ppl here should realize these things as this disease is so common now. Stop bullying and bodyshaming other!
Love, hugs and prayers for both of you girls!! Tell your daughter that she's pretty the way she is and she's going to conquer and rule this world one day!!! Insha'Allah ❤

I can relate soo much to this episode it was like she is telling my life story… i also had pcos and the people around me plus the doctors made me feel very bad.. and yes the acne the hairloss the hair growth on the chin and the stuggle with weight and food and mental health it was just too much …. And NO ONE understands…. The people literally pointed out all my insecurities and made me feel ugly too…. I remember getting prescribed a pill for acne and pcos in pakistan that they gave me 6 months supply for and when i came to canada the doctors were suprised… they wouldnt give that pill unless I sign a paper as it had soo many other side effects…. Pcos isnt easy and people need to be more educated on it and accept people the way they are…. Like pointing out that you have acne was soo annoying because i saw i had acne why make me feel about it by pointing it out
I am so sorry Hira that you faced this in your life. I really appreciate your mom’s advice and how you coped with that! May you get all the happiness in life. Your words and action are so inspiring for a lot of us. ❤
I can relate to this experience. Throughout my life, I struggled with being overweight, except during a period when I was engaged to my classmate. Unfortunately, the relationship turned toxic as my ex-fiancé and his mother subjected me to mental torture, pressuring me to lose weight through hurtful comments and small-sized gifts. This led to anxiety attacks, causing me to leave my medical profession without any support. After enduring a challenging year of therapy and antidepressants, I found happiness by leaving that toxic relationship. I want to emphasize that one's worth isn't determined by others' opinions. Regardless of your size, prioritize your well-being, and things will improve.
Bless you Hira! Just want to reach out to you for a big hug! Its so sad how people fail you and only looked at what they wanted to but missed out on how amazing you are! Your journey will inspire many more dealing with PCOS silently while facing all kind of physical and mental stress. Your positivity is so inspiring in its own way. More power to you ❤️😘
Going through pcos 💔💔 irregular periods, anxiety, depression, future thoughts, crying phases i am going through all this 😭😭😭 This is so relateable..i dont know how to get rid off it 💔💔💔💔💔💔
Try adopting a balanced lifestyle, take multivitamins, try to enjoy life, indulge into activities that calm your nerves, live life to the fullest and tell yourself on daily basis that you are amazing, you are valuable and you can conquer the world!!! I am there with you in it!!! Lots of love and prayers your way ❤
Few days back I was told my child to reduce wait I really upset and guilty to see these video.I will change my opinion because suddenly she was not eating because what ever I was told .I am so happy now to see you heera from India
She is absolutely right. Our society is toxic. If a chubby girls goes out of the house everyone starts asking her “are you married “. I fail to understand kay siraf married aurat moti ho sakti hai. Even male teachers have the habit of passing comments on female students. Calling them hippo etc. Not a good society to live in.
I have pcos since 13 and although my symptoms were not too severe, i faced acne, weight gain, hair loss and unusual hairs at frequent points but what was constant in past was that i fought with lots of lots of stress, depression and anxiety, i used to think why my mental health is getting worse despite taking medication but the conclusion was it was something caused only because of pcos, a pcos person doesn't have the journey as easy as a normal person in either way mentally or physically. Our society is unfortunately not ready to give space to someone who is struggling with it's own life, they make situation more worse and difficult to survive. But for all those sisters who are struggling with pcos, please start taking your life as a blessing of Allah(swt), health is another blessing of Allah(swt), always be grateful for whatever you have and whatever is not given to you was never meant to be your's. Stop being ungrateful, it only makes your life more difficult because of that negative vibe you generate around your self.
Every time I see one of your videos I immediately think “humans are so beautiful”. It’s so sad the way our beauty standards constrict us, the way we expect others to achieve particular standards regardless of what they’re going through in life… but then as an outsider looking in, all of these people are so very lovely and beautiful & interesting, and there’s no way I could view someone with such positive aspects as less than. Why are such ugly works spoken to such beautiful souls?
I am going through it I just ate a burger coz my client dint like something n I was tensed. I literally hate myself in mirror I also stopped going everywhere but alhamdulillah I have supportive ppl I will go to doc n inshaAllah everything will b better
So brave of Hira to face this. People are so insensitive, body shaming and this gorey honey ka culture does not end. People just pass a comment in such a fluid tone as if it's normal and it is their right. Girls should be taught to be strong and confident in their skin and be a le to give a shut up call.
I highly admire the effort of everyone who is here to share their powerful stories. Respected Kanwal I would like to share a story and I can surely say it is not reported in the history of Pakistan. I am trying to contact you for many months through FB but there is no reply. The story can be a motivation for many girls, parents, and families. I look forward to hearing from you.
I also got through the same phase in my life. I got pcos diagnosed at the age of 13 and i started to lose acceptance. But now i am tired of it. Now i am 18 yrs old and i think life is much better now but still i am social isolated i don't like going out.
I am 18 rn... But i still remember when i was 12 i put on a little weight and everybody starts taunting like to a kid mannn.. then at the age of 14-16 i got a little acne it wasn't even severe but still everybody questions about it... However, now i m about to appear for a competitive exam .. my weight drops drastically now i have a good body , a nice skin but still some people finds a way to Taunt you... Still they say that you should gain weight.. but now i have accepted myself in my best version... I don't care about others now!
❤loved her eloquence Ma sha Allah. Hira! If u are reading this.. i want to say that your words have comforted me. May Allah swt fill our close surroundings with kind and genuine people . Ameen Allah swt apki walida ko karwat karwat jannat naseeb kryn . Ameen All the girls who are struggling... Keep taking the next right step and keep doing the next right thing. Keep on Working towards making a positive impact ❤❤❤
You are a really strong person many women in pakistan is starting to have Pcos problem and many health concerns due to that also weightloss is very hard compared to men the rations of Pcos is more in women and as Pakistan injects hormonal injections in food, diary and other products which fluctuates the hormones. My Cousin also have issue of PCos and I know she is having a hard time just in Pakistan as long as you are slim and white you are a girl😅
Hira you are humble, sweet inside out. I love your approach how you got out of the phase of self pity. People underestimate PCOs and hormonal imbalance. It does so much with our mind and bodies. Especially severe forms of pcos bring a lot of other illness besides.

After enduring a challenging year of therapy and antidepressants, I found happiness by leaving that toxic relationship. I want to emphasize that one's worth isn't determined by others' opinions. Regardless of your size, prioritize your well-being, and things will improve.
. Bravo!! Such a humble and sweetheart girl.
Bless you Hira! Just want to reach out to you for a big hug! Its so sad how people fail you and only looked at what they wanted to but missed out on how amazing you are! Absolutely heartfelt ❤
Sending lots of Duas your way, you brave, brave girl.
She is soo sweet❤
Love to Hira
Awwww totally can understand much love n duaa
Beautiful story. stay strong girl
More power to you girl💕
May Allah make it easy for you dear sister more power for you ❤❤❤
How polite she's!🤍
#SSPSquad! Relatable! Thank you Kanwal.
💕💕
All the episodes are worth but this is beyond...
So brave of Hira to face this. People are so insensitive, body shaming and this gorey honey ka culture does not end. People just pass a comment in such a fluid tone as if it's normal and it is their right. Girls should be taught to be strong and confident in their skin and be a le to give a shut up call.
You’re such a strong beautiful and confident person ❤❤❤❤
I highly admire the effort of everyone who is here to share their powerful stories. Respected Kanwal I would like to share a story and I can surely say it is not reported in the history of Pakistan. I am trying to contact you for many months through FB but there is no reply.
The story can be a motivation for many girls, parents, and families. I look forward to hearing from you.
Would love to hear that
Brave girl more power to u ❤

my dear, you speak so good and more powers to you
I also got through the same phase in my life. I got pcos diagnosed at the age of 13 and i started to lose acceptance. But now i am tired of it. Now i am 18 yrs old and i think life is much better now but still i am social isolated i don't like going out.
❤ she is love
I am 18 rn... But i still remember when i was 12 i put on a little weight and everybody starts taunting like to a kid mannn.. then at the age of 14-16 i got a little acne it wasn't even severe but still everybody questions about it... However, now i m about to appear for a competitive exam .. my weight drops drastically now i have a good body , a nice skin but still some people finds a way to Taunt you... Still they say that you should gain weight.. but now i have accepted myself in my best version... I don't care about others now!
❤loved her eloquence

Good jobbb!!!
Superb ❤❤❤❤lots of love 😘
Plz makes more videos kanwal!!
So true ❤
