I can't believe we've already reached the end, what a trip!
It broke my heart to see the house without Mrs S 🥺 and I also felt bad for Rachel...
But it was like a hopeful happy ending, pretty perfect. I really admire the work everyone involved here did, you can tell the love they had for the series and respect for the story and the fans. I really appreciate that.

Orphan Black is believed to be the first show to have a lesbian couple from it's first season, end the show together.

Actually, there are a couple of shows that beat it! South of Nowhere did it with Spencer and Ashley in 2005-2008 (it's actually a really cute, somewhat corny teen drama that was centered on a wlw relationship, which was really unusual for the time). The original L word had Bette and Tina end up together in its run from 2004-2009. And I guess technically you could count Carol and Susan from Friends from 1994-2004, but that's a bit of a stretch considering how small of a role they played. Regardless, Cosima and Delphine are iconic, and I was so happy when they ended up together. Definitely one of my favorite couples ever, from my favorite show ever!
Tat was nominated for an Emmy for this episode, but amazingly, didn't win. I definitely took the ending as implying Sarah decided to stay. The birth scene was the best moment of TV ever! I watch it from time to time as a tonic if I'm feeling down. I love Sarah and Helena's journey: from trying to kill each other, to Sarah playing with Helena's hair as she talks about her Sestra "stepping off a train and meeting herself". I have enjoyed your reactions to this show so much! Thanks you! You'll definitely have to watch it again, even if you don't react again. Then you can watch other reactors. Then there are the bloopers. Then you have to watch all the ComiCon panels, and the "behind the scenes" documentaries, and Tat interviews, and so on!
She absolutely deserved an emmy for this episode! Ridiculous. That birth scene was definitely one of the best things I've ever seen. And the backyard scene was so good too. 😭 Helena reading her book, Sarah playing with her hair. 😭 I'll definitely have to check out the podcast and all the behind the scenes stuff now!
I don't think it's been mentioned yet - the reason the show is called Orphan Black is that during early development the clones were all going to look identical, and they would distinguish themselves by wearing different-coloured wristbands. Sarah's band was black!

What I like about the four of them listening to Helena reading is the way Sarah plays with her twins hair. Looks so comfortable.

This was a fascinating strange little show, so different from the usual Hollywood series. Because it’s Canadian! 🤣 With complicated characters, multiple storylines, and one actress playing multiple roles.

I don't think so either! It's so special and unique and amazingly well done! A little masterpiece of a hidden gem!
One of my favorite series finales ever, so satisfying. More finales need to wrap up the action/plots so quickly and leave the rest for emotional stuff. The birth scene has always been so beautiful to me, definitely some of Tatiana's best, if not her best. My one single complaint is that it felt like they were building up to Sarah finally breaking down about losing her mom all episode, only for it to kinda lead to nothing, or at least, nothing about her. If her struggling mood wasn't going to be about losing S, I really wish she would have at least mentioned having to raise Kira without Mrs. S there to help her for the first time while telling the others about her insecurities. But otherwise, a beautiful finale.
Ya I TOTALLY AGREE with you there. Especially because we didn't see her grieve or process after Mrs. S died initially, we just moved on so fast. It would have been nice to see it in this episode and have it more tied into Sarah's struggles. I mean she does mention having to raise Kira in the house where S died.. but I agree with you that there were ways they could have tied it in a lot more meaningfully. But still, one of my favorite finales as well! That birth scene was out of this world good. And that backyard scene was so good too!!!
Sorry to jump in, I’m going to assume they didn’t show Sarah’s meltdown regarding S because we saw how she spirals in series 4 in the bridge with Beth, it kinda implied by the end that she had overcome that way of turning when things go bad, she knew she had nobody to pull her back this time and knew she was stronger and needed to be exactly that, but I agree some form of grief shown about it would be good, I take my previous post back about wanting Rachel to go in, it wouldn’t make sense but the final scenes going to all the sisters and seeing what they are up to I would of loved to see Rachel in that bit

I have rewatched this show multiple times and I just made the connection between Mrs. S’s “That’s enough lip out of you” after shooting Ferdinand and Sarah’s “Ah, shut up” while killing John. Sarah was unknowingly channeling her mom even before the birth scene. For the ending, yes I do believe Sarah decided to stay at the house. The way I interpreted it was Sarah had come to terms with everything that had happened and all the mistakes she made along the way, so she didn’t feel the need to run anymore and could just enjoy being a mom. Such a perfect ending to an amazing show

I discovered your reaction series to Orphan Black a few days ago and just finished this last video. What fun to relive a series that I loved when it was first on BBC America years ago. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and I love how emotionally invested you got! This was such an underrated show when it was on tv, and I'm glad some new people are discovering it now. I just noticed that the ONLY two people in the series who had biological children (Sarah and Art-- who was most likely in the room when his ex gave birth) were the two to help Helena through the birth of her children.

Orphan Black was a great show and I'm glad you did a reaction to it because I stopped like four or five episodes in the season 4 and just totally forgot about the show something happened with the show it wasn't like the first three seasons but I got to watch everything I missed by watching along with you.

I can't believe this is the end of your reactions for this show. Besides you I only know one person who watched this show and she's the one who got me into it the first season lendin me her DVD of it. Hooked me from the start. And then years after its over I find your channel and I get to rewatch it with someone who loved it and got emotionally invested in it as much as I did. Every reaction I felt like I was right by your side, dancing the opening theme, screaming in shock, crying in grief, laughing at the rediculousness of it all (I must point out in particular Alison and Donny twerking while throwing out money, the hardest I ever laughed on this show). Lol no forceps are used to pull the babies out if they get stuck but they're really not ideal and should never be used by someone who doesn't know what they're doing lol. They can cause a lot of damage.
Thanks for all the love you've shown this series and all of it's characters! Hopefully you will inspire more reactors to react to this, too. I had bad Orphan Black withdrawal after my first watch through. I still miss Helena, sometimes, lol. I'll be watching some other show with an annoying antagonist and think, "You could use a hefty dose of Helena." or someone is being cruel to kids "Helena should teach you lesson.", lol. I love her so much. One thing I wish had been included in finale was Helena's boyfriend, Jesse. I just head canon he's still her man.

Something interesting, and why we got the actors strike going on:
For the final season of ORPHAN BLACK, Tatiana was paid only $50k per episode of season 4, even for playing multiple roles!
Contrast that with Bryan Cranston making $225K per episode for the final season of BREAKING BAD.
Now tell me, does that seem fair?
Absolutely not. She should have been paid for each role honestly.

After watching your reaction videos of one of my favorite shows 'Fleabag", I was shocked that you had reacted to one of my ultimate favvorite shows 'Orphan Black'!! But what was the best surprise of all is how awesome your reactions were to the show, its characters, the storylines and the finale and although I've seen the series many times, I thank you for a great time in rewatching with someone who actually paid attention and loved the show almost as much as me! 😊

Sad that your journey with this has now ended I looked forward to my Fridays for this 😢 glad you enjoyed it as much as we all did, the only problem I had was the fact at the end of previous episode Sarah had gone in as Rachel so had no eye makeup on which you see when Helena’s water break, then as soon as it continues form that point in this episode she has eyeliner on and that threw me off a bit lol, I also wanted something a bit better for Rachel, I kinda hoped that Helena would of seen and come and got her, Rachel makes some awkward apology understands she’s done far to much to be forgiven for to stay but they somewhere agree to draw the fighting lines!’ the last look she gave as Felix walked away from the car she so desperately wanted to go in ❤ big love & thanks for the ride, I cried like you during this episode! Orange is the new black is also a really good one if you haven’t already seen it, well worth checking out before Netflix removes in, you’ll definitely use some tissues x

I feel the same way about Rachel. I couldn't help but feel bad and I think Helena going out to her would have made total sense, that would be such a Helena move. It was so obvious Rachel desperately wanted to come in and be forgiven. I know she's done so much but... I don't know. I think if anyone can keep her on the straight and narrow and continue helping her be a better person and healing from her upbringing it would be her sestras..
I've seen OITNB unfortunately! That one would be a blast to do if I hadn't!

Have you ever watched Sense8? I think you would enjoy it. A similar vibe in the fact that a group of people with a deep connection and also running from people who want to take them out. Also has a lot of LGBTQ+ representation!

The story isn’t exactly over.. Not really. Do you know about the audiobook/podcast?
“Orphan Black: The Next Chapter” is a 2 season audiobook that is narrated by (10 chapters each) that is narrated by Maslany, and doing all the voices. In season 2 actors return to reprise their roles there. It is worth looking into.
Also, “Orphan Black Echoes” is confirmed , casted and in production. It has the same executive producer, takes place some time after this series. It looks like the characters will be different, but it is the same world/universe. No confirmed release date, atm.
I've heard of the podcast but I haven't listened! And I've heard of Echoes! Definitely excited to see what that's all about!
@@KelseasComments the audiobook is a direct sequel to the series. I read somewhere that Echoes takes maybe 50 years in the future. Also Kristin Ritter is casted for it. I edited my first comment. It might have changed since you replied.

@@KelseasComments of course, I’m not completely sure how or if the writers strike and, now actor strike will affect the release schedule of Echoes. I’m not what stage in the production/filming process it is currently in.

Also props you for reacting to this everyone reacts to the same old shows and movies usually the movies are superhero genre and the TV shows are mainstream type of shows shows that get good ratings from just paid critics vs shows that have a very strong fan base even if the fan base is small but just goes to show you how great the show is by how strong the fan base is, I mean hell twin peaks only had a couple seasons and that's still one of the best shows created no one ever reacts to it no one ever reacts to lilyhammer or Santa Clarita Diet, yellowjackets, Jericho, Buffy The vampire Slayer, freaks and geeks, pushing daisies, arrested development, firefly, The OA, Better of Ted, Hannibal, limitless like there so many shows that go under the radar that reactors aren't reacting to so many shows that were canceled for no damn reason only because the algorithm says so 😅 smh
Ya I don't get videos pumped up nearly as fast as other reactors so it's hard sometimes to choose what shows to commit to! But I'm so damn glad I did this one. This show is so special and underrated and I loved every second of it!! I grew up watching Buffy but I don't remember it super well! I probably remember Angel better to be honest. Watched reruns every morning while I got ready for school lol!! Oh and I'm doing Firefly over on Patreon! Episode 4 was posted a few days ago! I'm hoping to get it over to RUclips eventually but for now it's a Patreon exclusive just because I'm focusing on getting caught up on BCS over here on RUclips. I'll get it over here eventually though so no worries!
I been more and more reclutant to watch your videos the closer we get to the end. I'm not sure if it's because I like these episodes less (I don't mean they are bad, they just get less exciting with rewatches), or if I just don't want this to end. Maybe both. I can't believe it's over now. There's the audiobooks, but I doubt we get to enjoy them with you, so this is it now. Maybe we'll see in Orphan Black Echoes again.
