@@jon8004 A huge bunch of lesbians are salty that Villanelle didn't get a happy ending, despite the fact she didn't deserve it because she was a psychotic murderer who was evil to the core. Just because the actress is fanciable, doesn't make the character redeemable.
@@philbecker4676 The book the show was adapted from didn't give a sh*t about "psychos not deserving redemption." To me the story isn't about consequences for your actions- we all know that's how life works- but this story is fiction, why not end on a happy note? Let the lesbians have their otp.
Jodie delivered a very complex Villanelle. As much as I loved her and rooted for her at times, the first two minutes of this clip were a bit terrifying; I actually felt really uncomfortable. I've known unpredictable people, and it can be quite scary when the switch flips. She deserved every award she won for her portrayal of Villanelle. Masterful acting.
Funny, the other day I was reading about how give lgbt characters a happy ending improves the mental health of very vulnerable lgbt people, then I remembered that killing eve had a happy ending in the books (the original source) but not on tv (the lame adaptation with a wonderful cast) for no reason.
@@jon8004 yes I agree on that in parts. I still say I had wished for another, at least an open ending, but it is true that the whole 4th season was not coherent which makes the whole last Episode kind of hard to believe.
She disappears so much into her characters that it's easy for me to not see her as Villanelle. That's what makes her Class A! Watched her in "The Help" and "Prima Facie"-not a hint of Villanelle in those characters.
But then you killed her, saying she was irredeemable, so apparently your therapy isn't powerful at all. S4 destroyed every good scene leaving nothing but heartbreak in it's wake.
All the great tv shows that have been ruined by terrible endings, Killing Eve is placing right below Game of Thrones and How I Met Your Mother in my list
I think I love this character. Simply sincere and bombastically psychotic, just overwhelming combination. Also, she's pretty but that's irrelevant. A true woman to have by your side. Like Zulema Zahir
How did you manage to ruin a series that was so good and with wonderful actresses. Sandra and Jodie didn't deserve to have their characters end up like this. At least apologize to all the fans who felt betrayed. And Laura Neal, you're on my blacklist.
Villanelle had one primary love: killing people until she met Eve which causes her to feel unsettled. She would have been better off killing Eve at the end of Season 2 or Carolyn should have hired her and then Eve and her could have had fun getting rid of truly evil actors in the world. Instead we got some incoherent story telling in season 3 and 4.
The ending to this had the same bitter feeling as the end of Penny Dreadful. You have these magnetic, complex, demonic yet irresistible female characters that have so much development, redemption, and a taste of goodness just to be snatched away in a rushed and disappointing ending.
Wonderful compilation and a very good therapist for both....WE also learned a lot ....she is no psychopath at the end❤❤❤.....everything is fine with Villanelle, she is in the middle of her metamorphosis - I Love IT 💚💚💚❣️❣️❣️🌻🌻🌻
We all need therapy after that finale. Still waiting for an apology.
you are so good in point here hahahahaha!!!!

@@philbecker4676 Yep, I agree with that, she was evil and deserved to suffer. I think it's because they hate Eve.
Just like when the Tango in Halifax writers killed Kate...

All this character development and for what?
The ending still breaks my heart.
One of my favourites from Season 4. Seeing Villanelle vulnerable is something else, especially with Jodie’s acting.
@Galloping Goose Would’ve taken that idea any day over Eve calling the cops on Villanelle
Loved Martin and Villanelle together. They played beautifully off of one an other. Comedy and drama perfection.
Absolutely
Yes I love them together too.

What was the happy ending in the books I need to know? 🥹
@@jon8004 is it surprising they decided to change the ending of the book? Absolutely not. It’s a trope. Iykyk
@@codyseelye8352 i think eve and villanelle moved away, i haven’t read it tho
@@jon8004 no, but c'mon, the whole story is def not about realism, is it? That misses the whole point.

Once again class A acting from Jodie! She plays Villanelle so well, idk if I’ll ever be able to see her as anybody else.
@Enby I saw a clip from it and it felt weird to watch. That’s not on Jodie though. That’s on me😭

Read the Book, they leaved out the ending
@@DarkJediFarkas Yes, I am aware of that, thank you.
that suit tho 😍
“What are you doing here?” “Therapy.” 😂😂😂
Martin is a good therapist for both Eve and Villanelle.
I think someone else needs therapy more than Villanelle and Eve tbh
who
She's so lonely it hurts
Martin, aka best wingman ever
hahahaha so true
Villanelle and Martin brilliant acting by both actors! So rich with content revealing their characters ❤️
Villanelle didn't deserve that miserable ending

I never noticed that she ties him to the lawn chair LMAO 😂
I will never be able to love someone more than her
"Yes" Chuckle 6:09 lol
Finally!!! I’ve been looking for that extraordinairy scene everywhere. Thank you soooo much ♥️♥️♥️
she in this suit is so BOYFRIEND
Love this scene
I love you V and your navy suit (which was originally Eve’s in the hotel room) 😉
These scenes were the best from the whole of an otherwise incredibly disappointing fourth season.
....WHAT WAS THE REASON??!!!!!
JUST PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GIVE US AN APOLOGY
