A genuinely friendly reminder that this is how the books end: them together, living their lives happily. In the book, Villanelle and Eve end up faking their deaths and go on to have a peaceful life together in St Petersburg :) i'm happy about the ending in the book !! but in the movie the ending is horrible, i think my heart will never heal from the heart breaking ending..

This is the best thing I have seen in a long time....thank you very much for this... I still can't believe that I would fall this much hard on a psychopathic assassin..... Eve and Villanelle were the heart of the show......And although in the end what happened...Villanelle will always be in our heart forever..
They ruined the series with such an ending. For me, it ends when they hug each other. No bullets, no killing. Jodie Comer is just amazing. I don’t know what could be better for her than this role, but I wish her many more bright and memorable roles.

Fun Fact : Luke Jennings , creator of Killing Eve , came out publicly against Killing Eve's finale, but he still maintains some respect for the TV series as a whole. In the Guardian op-ed, he complimented many members of the show's cast and crew, including award-winning stars Comer and Sandra Oh, and the first season's writer/showrunner Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Jennings specifically cited Waller-Bridge's more faithful take on Villanelle, saying "That’s the Villanelle that I wrote, that Phoebe turned into a screen character, and that Jodie ran with so gloriously."

I don't know why I decided to sit down and watch this entire thing in one sitting. I don't know why I decided to do that to myself. It's been over two years and it still hurts. And I'm still angry. So angry. I just miss her.

Villanelle is so inspiring; brave, strong, individualist at heart, smart, clever, adapts to change, she's a true survivor of all the things that happened to her, and despite that terrible final season, she will always be my favorite female character ever portrayed. Jodie would make an amazing Tank Girl (if there were ever a remake or sequel), let's be honest.

This was the best series I’ve watched so far, tbh didn’t expect for me to fall for villanelle’s character that much.. but sometimes there’s no happy endings for true love if it’s coming from both sides lol.. didn’t know most of us were upset that villanelle died until I saw the other comments 😭 damn.. it did really affect me.. the writer literally messed our minds 🤣

This is what I needed
The whole 4th season pissed me off!!! How did they go from undeniably loving and needing each other on that bridge to Eve being cold, distant, and mean??? And then they only get to reunite on the final episode where they also lose each other forever??!!!! I choose to believe that season 4 actually picked up with “the kiss” but taking place on that bridge because they didn’t have to wait any longer to be together…
I always felt like we missed a season between 3 and 4 😭
I was addicted to watching this entire series in a few days..I thought it was one of the best shows on Netflix. I was really rooting for their love story to end happily ever after and was so sad that it didn't.

I did same thing lots of times. She shouldn’t have gotten killed I was pissed especially when I saw the end. Jodie comer and Sandra oh were excellent. She was an assassin but man I think after awhile I didn’t care I loved her. Actually it was kinda hot what she did after I fell in love with her character I was like go girl get em. Lol

@@morganw5060 well yes. Though I do err onto the side of thinking, that such labels (psycho- from psychopathy) are minimising labels. The human is always a far more complicated complex - affected and born of circumstances, with a deep capacity for evolution too- that's what the show manages to convey well too I guess.

What always inteigued me was eve's obsession and intrigue with villanelle. I couldnt understand it but it was so intoxicating
Its because villanelle had triggered suppressed desires and personality traits. In season one she explained she came to London cos her father had a illness. Because Eve is of Korean descent culturally they are loyal to their family. Essentially after her father had died she started to shed ur metaphysical chains and shortly after Villanelle had came into her life. Season two you see her struggling with two faces of Eve.

I only got to know Killing Eve 2 months before in German Free TV. I had never seen neither Jodie nor Sandra in any movie. But then I was obsessed from this Thriller Spy Serie and its psychological Games and especially the Happenings between Villanelle and Eve.
IT was so fascinating observing Villanelles facial expressions, Interactions with others and her costumes.outfits for the various tasks. The so called romance between the Main characters was from Eve's Side sometimes very brutal and contradictional to her Former behaviour. Unfortunately I have Not read the original authers book to compare both Versions. Well in any waynJodie Comer ist exceptional and I also Wish her Luck and health for her Future Projects and movies.
I was so fascinated that I planned to fly from Germany to Prima Facie to See her in this particular Live ACT on Stage in New York. But die to the Smog in New York I xancelled everything....IT IS abvery challenging task especially with such a tabu issue of sexual assault. I am in similar age as Fiona Shaw and gathered many experienced in this field and also in Germany the legal situation in courts is a desaster so that women suffered a lot unser these circumstances If such a situation arose.

Hallo, ich schreibe einfach mal auf deutsch. Mir ging es ebenso, meine Frau begann KE zu schauen und ich schaute nicht regelmässig hinein. Aber ab einem gewissen Punkt war ich Fan und musste es durchgucken. Staffel 1 und 2 muss ich nochmal gucken. Mit Staffel 3 bin ich nicht ganz verbunden und Staffel 4 war leider ein Fiasko mit diesem Ende. Ich ärgere mich über mich selber, weil mir das nahe ging. Es ist halt nur eine Show und nicht das richtige Leben. Die Buchvorlage von Jennings habe ich gelesen. Interessant welche Ideen von Jennings in die Show eingeflossen sind. Das dritte Buch mit dem guten Ende erscheint doch etwas naiv, aber tröstlich. Jetzt lese ich auf Archive of our own "Saving Eve by DontShoveTheSun. Dies hat ein weiblicher Fan geschrieben. Es setzt, nach dem Attentat ein. Beide überleben. Kann als Staffel 5 gesehen werden. Ist spannend geschrieben. Vor Jodie und Sandra ziehe ich meinen Hut. Ich konnte mit Sandra bei Greyˋs Anatomy nichts anfangen. Aber für diese Show fehlen mir die Worte.

Ja, ich fand den 4.Teil mit diesem Ende heftig, aber ich denke immer, dass es auch nur der Schein sein kann, um eine erfolgreiche Gesamtstaffel noch einmal zum Kleben zu erwecken. Jedoch hörte es sich so an, als ob Sandra froh ist und über ihre Grenzen gegangen ist und vielleicht Villanelle, weil jünger auf jeden Fall nochmals einen Part hinzu fügen zu wollen...allerdings mit den Streiks in USA sehe ich da momentan keine Interesse. Ausserdem war Sandra auch Producerin....hat sie genügend verdient? Gibt es irgendwo zahlen?
Wenn ich an "Barbie" denke, haben wohl Greta Gerwig und Margot Robbie den grossen Coup gelandet. ...die Zahlen sind wohl ergreifend gut😂🥳😜.
