Great video. I’ve lived in Vancouver all 63 of my years. One of the models at the beginning showed Whalley Blvd. That area was my stomping grounds from Grade school in the 60’s through to graduation in the 70s. I even have film of driving through there in 1975. The amount of growth has been incredible. Thanks for showing it off. See you Friday’s livestream.
This tutorial was great!!!!! It is also reassuring to see how SketchUp can be an important, valuable tool in the design process. By the way, that is a genuinely nice project!!!
This was amazing. I really appreciate you guys sharing this. it helps me to envision my goals as well. Although my small projects may end up in a 14x28 room I love to see the big scale projects come to life. When do they expect to be complete? So I can go visit.
Thank you for this out-of-studio episode. That's what to see in the next episodes. just a question, how can we make the animation of a construction element by element like the firm DA-construction does. What level of knowledge should we have in using sketchup.
Great video Aaron! Hope you had a great time in Vancouver! I think it's a good idea to go on site visits for projects designed (in part) with Sketchup - hope you guys do more!
It will be nice if we have a dedicated series/playlist for projects that built in SketchUp. Thanks Aaron, you can't stop being funny even with the PPE 9:44 😎😁
@@SketchUp Call me blind but I couldn't find it, I can see the following playlists but none of them look similar (judging by title): - Level Up SketchUp - Beyond Desktop - SketchUp for iPad Square One - Square One - Let's Talk LayOut - SketchUp Live! - SketchUp Extension Inspection - SketchUp Skill Builder Thanks
Thank you for sharing this Awesome video! I am a sketchup lover but there are lots of noise that make me doubt on my choice and may be I should move on to other 3D modeling tools such as blender. But after watching your video, I feeling like wow even architect still using it from Beginning to end, it's not an abondon kid even Revit born. The most amazing part is sketchup act an important role of turning concepts turn into reality. Inspiring and respect !
Vancouver has some of the most difficult zoning Bylaws. I can only imagine the hoops and headaches these Arch's must have to go through. Not only do you need to satisfy the BC Building code, the city of Vancouver has just as many rules.
What was your favorite moment of Aaron's visit?
0:01-13:24
When he was checking the holes in the slab... XD
He's smiling
Great video. I have been to Vancouver many many times, it is a beautiful city and environment.

I love this outside the studio concept Aaron.
Very interesting, hope to see more of these episodes.
Thanks Matt and Aaron, great job on the video!
Our pleasure! Thanks for having us!
That was very cool, I hope you guys do more of these.
Great video format, and great to see SU being used on such large scale projects.
Hopefully you guys get to cover projects like this more!
Love these series...

The whole work of company is with SU , but I wonder if the SketchUp compatible with other software of structural work
I'm brand new to Sketchup but not new to 3D work. Which set of videos are the best for start with and walk through effectively?
