That’s what I thought too when I brought mine Makita. Until I was taken some huge 34mm nuts that where on a trailer for over 20 yrs. I couldn’t take it out on setting 3. I have to bring out the oxy torch and heat that sucker up cherry red before it comes off. My next impacts wrench is gonna be between 1500-2000 ft lbs of nut busting torque for sure.

Hi from Syracuse NY brother and thank you for sharing your thoughts about new products

I purchased this thinking that its too heavy, but in reality for mechanical work you either need a LOT of breakaway torque or a small 12V impact will do. This Makita took out 200 Lb-Ft subframe bolts like it was small 10mm bolt. The hammer in this is monstrous.

Great video review and thanks for doing! I purchased the same one. What impact socket set would you recommend? I got a 1" Husky impact socket stuck on the friction ring and there was absolutely no way to remove it. Perhaps I had a bad friction ring. Took it right back to Home Depot with the socket stuck on and swapped for an identical Makita XWT08Z.

No offense meant, but, don't you realize how important it is to start a nut by hand in order to avoid cross threading?
What price did you have to pay for this?

Never trust manufacturer’s claims. They are typically lies. And when they do hit those numbers, it’s rare they continually produce them.
Makita tools are a surprisingly reliable cheap source of power tools. They will never match the dependability and performance of a DeWalt, or even a Milwaukee. But for the price, for basic and not industrial use, great purchase.

Get real, This tool was tested against both brands on torque testers and outperformed DeWalt considerably. DeWalt is by far the worst brand of the three. Most likely a "Made In The USA" guy who doesn't check the tests.

Have u been drinking bud?😭makita tools are VERY VERY VERY EXPENSIVE,this impact driver that he is reviewing is more expensive then both Milwaukee and dewalt high torque impact,it also performs better than dewalt 💯%
