I was watching other content on the CF Moto release wishing Nick from Chupacabra would comment when the notification for this video popped up so clicked on it immediately not knowing you got to attend. 👍👍 I am VERY impressed. But of course cautiously until I hear your report on the driving experience. I like the styling and especially the interior. And what a value: live valve Fox shocks with Eibach springs, a standard winch, rear radiators, suspension seats, a beautiful large display with CarPlay: double shear hardware, and the list goes on. I think of the value like this: you could buy both a 2 and a 4 seater Z 10 and still have$4k left over for accessories or the Pro R 4 seat for $47k. I know it’s not a Pro R but still very impressive. 👏🏻👏🏻😎
Plunging half shafts is probably the most underrated part of this vehicle. That is a big step as they were able to get additional suspension travel because of it. Regular half shafts fail due to the tricky slip and sudden grip (high torque loads) SxS drivetrains experience. I wonder how well the new half shafts will last with larger aftermarket tires? The motor doesn't have quite the same output as the competition, but I bet the motor and driveline mass/inertia is nearly same. Very cool review, good insights, and presentation.
I was camping up in Munds Park in Flagstaff Arizona this weekend with a friend. We drove down Schnebly Hill Road into Sedona where the temperature was around 95°. He has a windshield on his pro XP4 seat and he said he could not deal with the heat in the cab anymore and we had to turn around and go back to camp. I have a half windshield on my pro XP2 seat which helps a lot but still I was doing the broken arrow trail with my grandson and my legs were absolutely burning hot. Even with a insulated center console blanket and a insulated cup my water got hot really quick in the center cup holder. Having the radiator in the back is such a great idea.
Arizona here with a Can Am X3 and half windshield. Unless it is cold, no need to run a half windshield during the summer! Sedona is still too warm for that. If the half windshields do not easily come off, trash them and buy one that will. I love my half windshield, but in Arizona or Glamis, you need to really be smart.
I think that CF moto is one of the best bang for your buck options. That interior blows away the maverick r. I wouldn't say CF moto is for the serious off roader but for someone who wants to hit some light to medium trails this is perfect.
We bought a cfmoto 650 four wheeler last year for my wife, we've had zero issues with it. And my wife doesn't baby it. I agree with you, we just puts around northern Michigan trails and have had allot of fun with it.
Will love to own one in the future.. love adventure life, outdoors and just a good ride.. one day is One-day. All the way from South Africa 🇿🇦. Marking a register
Well done and a comprehensive review, Nick. I look forward to a real world test ride review, but impressive on look and paper. How it does in our offroad world of rocks, sand/dunes and desert will be interesting to see.
Jury is out but on the surface it looks good. The HP is without an intercooler, kind of like the Canned Ham DS. Add an intercooler, reflash the ECU, bigger turbo, the list goes on. Like the display and controls. The Fox shocks are certainly nice. Nick needs to ring it out and see how it does in the desert. Sand, we all know it will be under powered as you can never have enough there.
All I i hope is this presses Honda, Kawi, and Yamaha into deciding to compete in the higher-end segment. Having a Chinese competitor outclassing all of the legacy Japanese powersports manufacturers is a baffling state of affairs.
They need to lend me one or take them out to the crossbar park in Oklahoma to see if they survive like the canam out there. My old cfmoto zforce saw the shop after every crossbar ride while the canam guys kept going, saving time & money from the shop. If it survives crossbars, they are a beast. That will be the true test of these machines.
I love it. The design looks on par with a Maverick X3. Now we just have to see how good the engine is? I was going to buy a brand new Polaris XP 1000 but I might make the switch to cfmoto if the reviews come back positive.
absolutely a stunning machine. my only complaint is that i wish it was closer to the 181 hp that the Polaris Pro Xp has. I'm planning on buying a new machine in the spring. had my mind made on buying a RZR pro Xp Sport but now after seeing this I'm torn.
I think this lines up nicely with all sport SxS’s at $20k- with the X3 being the only other competitor with a turbo… excited to drive one soon and do a review

All of the legacy companies paved the way for CF Moto to become what they are today so they need to stop talking about all the crap that “they” developed themselves while it’s clear the styling was copied from the X3.
On the flip side, CF Moto will now pave the way for the legacy companies to start doing some different things.
Hopefully these machines won’t come to the point where a simple roll or fender bender is a fortune to fix.
KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)
No we designed it. It’s very very different than the x3 in almost every way. Yes it had 4 wheels, and is a utv but really its visually very different
@tristanhipps604 man it looks sick , I'm impressed ...never even thought of owning a cfmoto sxs until now.
Looks like lawnmower engine
Smoking in the machine now will be dangerous lol. With that gas tank up front. I'm out
People smoke in 2024? Lol C’mon bro
@@ChupacabraOffroad lol I still do. I know I'm a bum. My wife says if I quit I can get whatever side by side I want next. So I'm currently going to quit lol
Just trying to figure out, if I want to get the 25 RZR XP 4 1k. Or completely switch brands. The only thing making me want to stay with Polaris is the ride command. I started out with a RZR 570 trail with nothing just used maps and a compass. 2019 I bought the ride command edition 4 seater xp41k. And I've have allot of issues with it. So Idk which way to go. I really like the can am maverick sport max. But still debating.
It’s in the dash. The can am has the same location and would you rather sit on the fuel?
@@tristanhipps604 I'm really not being that serious lol
Buy domestic
Rzr and can am built in Mexico just like the z10 will be
It’s pretty nice for CF but there is no way I’m ever buying a Chinese Communist SxS .
Designed in Minnesota and built in Mexico
It is junk. Not enough horsepower. Why the other side by side company use rocker switches they work. Knobs don't lastwhen your out on the dusty trails.I will keep with my 200 hp Can-Am X3 XDS Max Turbo R. It will blow that piece of $hit out of the water. Can-Am mite cost more but you pay for Quality an Performance !!!. And it looks like you have 29 inch tires on it. I am running 35x10x15. 18" ground clearance. You couldn't pay me to drive are own one of them. It won't last are hold up to the Ruff trails. Your Slip axles wont last another place that well brake.
Lol
