Beautiful video and reflection, despite having different personalities, Takina and Chisato have more in common than they initially appear and they complement each other in a very natural way. I always loved how Chisato, despite having a very relaxed attitude and a seemingly simple philosophy, her character becomes more and more complex as the anime progresses.
And Takina is undoubtedly the character with the best development in the series, as well as interesting, now that I see it from the distance of time I feel that Takina is in fact the main protagonist of the series, thanks to that disobedience of hers at the beginning of series was that she and Chisato met, which in turn made Chisato have some development when it came to making more rational decisions and she was finally the one who unmasked Yoshi in front of Chisato and explained her entire plan. The passionate, furious and dedicated way in which she fought to save Chisato was simply overwhelming
although we fell in love with Chisato in the first half of the anime, Takina definitely stole the show towards the end of this one

While you are on the topic of dissecting those two, there is something I've noticed and learned to greatly appreciate about Takina, her decisiveness.
A wee bit more than her partner, Takina's split second decision to reach a goal once a situation has changed is impressive. Normally both Chisato and Takina don't always follow the rules, but in a way Chisato is somewhat stuck in that mindset of sticking to her non-orthodox plan. Takina is not so restricted, as she switched from a kill all enemies rule to a incapacitate all enemies. This mindset allows Takina quickly pick up a machine gun to save Erika, abandon DA in heartbeat just because she assumed there was a trap for Chisato in the old tower, to go after Silent Jin while being a tour guide, why she developed a three ring rule, why she took over Lyco Reco finances, why she told Fuki to save Sakura while she would save Chisato, why she ultimately put down the gun so that Chisato can maintain her way of life. Right or wrong, Takina quickly makes a logical decision based on a changing world as quickly as the world changes with the healthy addition considering one's feelings (mostly Chisato but others as well) with her decisions.
Contrasting to that Chisato already doesn't follow the rules and tends to stick to her life plan especially it involves herself. She already doesn't care for DA and would only be seen there at Takina's behest. When she planed to close Lyco Reco, that was the plan until Takina told her she quit DA. The rest of the episode had her hinting at getting Fuki and some other Lycoris transferred over once she was gone. Even though she set up Lyco Reco to help the helpless, she also wanted to find Shinji but somewhat gave up on it, until her partner convinced her to wear that Alan Necklace. Chisato even ran out of things to do once she had her full life ahead of her only for Takina to remind her of everything she did put aside due to her condition.
It is very subtle but Chisato is truly flawless with her partner Takina ironing out those little flaws. Likewise it is obvious that without Chisato, Takina is nothing more than a Takinator until she inevitably falls in combat. Together they are an amazing pair whos combined abilities is way more than the sum of their parts.
As for the moral of the show if we just consider the two leads. I think it is best summarized as "Live your life your as much as possible, compromise, adapt and enjoy the changing world but never truly give up yourself." With Takina doing the more enjoying and Chisato doing the more compromising and adapting. Still it is clear, their core remains the same.

I think what makes this as amazing is, Chisato always has the power to kill. It's not that she has weak mind and can't pull the trigger, she can, she is freaking lycoris who taught how to kill since she can remember.
It just Chisato choose life. Chisato treasure life. And that's why i love Chisato so much.
