I really really don’t want to like AI but… I’m a drummer in my mid 40’s that doesn’t want to learn multiple new instruments at the moment. I’m having a blast creating AI music. I’ll create a song I like, then drop that into Logic Pro and separate the stems so that I can remove the AI drums. I’ll then record my own drums over the song. It’s great for keeping my chops up on the drums. Sometimes I’ll add my own lyrics which is fun also. It’s a great practice tool for my situation. I have no plans of trying to release any ai music. I don’t think you’re allowed to monetize ai music. Just expanding my resume of drum beats for a future project maybe.

Call me crazy, but I think you would have had more fun making it yourself, or...... here's a crazy idea, asking other PEOPLE to play with you. Do what you like obviously and if you're having fun, how can I say that's bad? But society as a whole is missing out on many things the more we rely on AI to do for us.

I hear you. You’re not crazy. I’m in a couple different bands/projects now. I just want to play drums exclusively. Maybe I’ll pick up another instrument one day. When finances permit I usually end up buying a new $350 cymbal etc. Lol

Stoked you’re making a podcast, can relate to what you are going through, AI has been useless in my life and I feel like it’s just corporations unable to pay for customer service workers. A computer will never be able to do what a mind does until the computers are built like neurons. A friend and I tried AI generated lyrics once, they were rather lack luster but I can see how they could be a nice starting point? Sad to hear SeN is leaving.
