Because of your reviews on flooret I bought their product and am in the process of installing it throughout my house. Your videos are extremely educational and are helping so much!! I'm a 68 year old lady, if I can do this anyone can! Thanks for your wonderful content!
We have a fairly large house with 15 year old cruddy cheap carpet that is literally disintegrating. Been watching your videos for last 1-2 years and went to Flooret base, we are on a budget, like everyone else, and we have picked out SoHo and will be installing in October. Last year I bought a case of the Flooret base SoHo, and we left it laid out on the kitchen floor for almost a year, and now pulled the trigger. Carpet is ripped out, kitchen vinyl ripped. We already installed the SoHo stairs, so excited to see the floors finished.
Thank you for all your videos. Our son watched them and installed his vinyl flooring perfect. Just watch your video. We bought many samples from Floret, including full length planks. Their products are great. Great customer service throughout the whole ordering process. We ended up purchasing the Palka signature, because it was a lighter color with very nice wood grain details. The really nice thing about Flooret they will hold your order up to 3 month after the purchase, Then they will send a e-mail to remind you of your order for shipping time. This will give time to do all of the prep work needed before the install.
Just found you yesterday after having yet another heart attack induced by a $6k estimate to LVP a 500 sq foot basement. Ridiculous beyond belief to me. Thank you so much for showing us how to do this type of work.
I've installed for over 30 yrs and this guy is pretty good. I thought I was the only one that tested material out before I would sell to make sure it's good product. I also agree drop and lock plank is not good.
10:04 Agree, the GC who installed my Sister’s ended up using up the 10 extra boxes (wanted down the road etc) b/c kept breaking locking tab, etc… and come to find out, no vap barrier/underlayment at all and now floor popping and cracking (this started 3 days after final install on 3 planks IN MIDDLE OF 1000ft² room and didn’t know how to fix (the rest started 3-5 yrs later, along with/ door casing/jamps, baseboards, etc…..and this Co wasn’t cheapest or highest, but even highest cost can do things wrong, it’s a taillight warranty sadly); and I’d never have this in my home either, along w/ transitions….personally I hate ‘em, lol
Hi, great videos. I cant find any videos on the reliability of Home depot flooring called “Malibu” wide plank, vinyl flooring, we love the colours, but dont know how it would hold up. Could you do a video on Mailbu? Thanks in advance, Lou
Another great video! I have a project coming up, so I just ordered to sample sets using your code. Thanks for sharing your expertise with all who watch. God Bless you and your family.
After watching many of your videos, I installed the Flooret 9 in. over concrete. I am pleased with this product and the install. Tip: Spend time on surface leveling. Thanks for your videos.
Hi Joe, loving all the info you are providing. I am stuck deciding between 3 brands; Nucore, coretec premium and Flooret signature. I know Flooret is a fav of yours, but between the other two, what do you prefer? My husband worries about purchasing online. Your thoughts, thanks.
@sothatshowyoudothat can I use the black quietwalk LVP underlayment below the modin with attached pad on the planks on a concrete slab or is that going to cause me problems? Thank you kindly!
Question: I haven’t seen a video where you covered glue down luxury vinyl plank, flooring, compared to pressure sensitive glue with loose lay perhaps I missed it. Wondering if you recommend those types of glue in systems to easily replace individual planks if they do get damaged compared to the click lock systems that you mentioned above in this video?
@@sothatshowyoudothat Hello Sir, Thank you so much for the videos! I am going to install a LVP modin floor on a concrete slab. Can I purchase the black quietwalk underlayment for LVP to use underneath in addition to the attached pad on the planks or will that cause me problems?
Do you like this better than Floor and Decor Nucore? Most of the standard Nucore line is under $3 sq ft, waterproof, 6.5mm+, cork backed, has a 22 mil antimicrobial wear layer, and a lifetime residential warranty. I used it for my bathrooms and love it... but also open to looking at other brands if there is something about this that you think is better. This does seem to have more pattern variation. I tend to go for either simpler, more uniform patterns or super contrasting patterns like acacia.
He did a review on Nucore and liked it ok but liked flooret better because of the locking system, wear layer durability, etc. I almost bought some floor and decor stuff but the reviews of customer service after flooring failure kept me from going that direction. I was heartbroken after reading those reviews because I fell in love with the look of some of the F&D stuff, but I decided on flooret and LOVE it. Trying to figure out how to afford another level of my house once the price goes up.
Love my flooret craftsman, but they're about to raise prices at the end of this month. They haven't said new pricing, but that could certainly change the value proposition
The price is going up as of October 1, 2024 on the Modin Signature. No signs of price increases on the Modin base, Modin Craftsman or their engineered hardwood.
@@lynnboyce1729 oh, I assumed it was all Modin. That's good if it's limited to one line, but there was such a little difference between the prices that I wouldn't think they'd make this much of a deal about the increase unless it was big
Can anyone tell me why it’s ok to put LVP over a concrete slab but NOT over engineered hardwood glued to a concrete slab? Our EHW was in great shape and solid but Coretec says no.
Not fan of the LVP with cork back that when installed makes a “gap joint” b/t the planks. Why not a fan and prefer the kind that closed, or wood…..b/c dirt etc gets in there and even if mop, walking barefoot or have white socks on will make feet black, or socks black; and appears to ppl that surface of floor is “dirty”, which it’s not, it’s in between and not possible to clean. Other fyi for ppl, when installing thin lvp on slap on grade , use the highest Vap barrier for moisture and thickest possible, as makes walking on awesome, and NEED TO LEVEL CONCRETE, or your floor will crack, chip, break. If live in area where foundation and property has water drainage management issues, well, concrete NOT waterproof and will transfer up thru slap into home and cause issues. Have seen over and over from ppl remodeling their home and have the PM/GC do install and if not familiar with product specs, & install techniques and home issues…..they need to have a flooring sub do install and correctly and don’t cheap out on money when comes to prep and underpayment etc…. Certain items in a house you can save money, but please don’t do on installs/items that you’ll regret down the road, as only way to fix, another remodel 🤦🏼♂️
Thank you for your videos. I watched many of them and learned a lot. My DIY installation was pretty smooth and drama free because every challenge I encountered had been covered by you. I appreciate it.
Yo sé trabajar todos los pisos vinilicos pero ya no puedo porque me agachó y me mareo y me paro y me mareo no se que será pero es un trabajo que siempre me gustó hacer 🎉🎉😊😊
Thanks, I ordered some samples. I had ordered the engineered wood samples from Flooret but didn't like any of the colors. Looking for more of a red oak type of color. Ignoring price, would you say their engineered wood is better than their vinyl plank?

Very good and I got my floor in less than a week. When you call you get an actual person. They came in super great shape as well. Very pleased
