It is used as the city morgue. LOL. I have no idea why that little building has a 5k air conditioner. That's how it came when I bought the property. It also has bars on the windows and a fortified door so who know what they were doing in that building.

It’s surprisingly easy to run on solar on consistently sunny days. I have seven small widow ac’s ,two double door refrigerators,an upright freezer, and my water heater running on a Growatt 5K inverter with 20 KWH battery. I don’t run all the ac’s at the same time, four when it’s hot or have company. I put the elements in series on the water heater so its load is only 2250 w,avoiding overloading the inverter. I have grid power but don’t need input from it if we don’t have a lot of company to maintain this essential circuits panel. I had three generators. I sold one, gave one away to my son who never uses it on his completely off grid trailer,(he has a small inverter generator for an occasional boost) and the last one I will probably repair some day. With a little lifestyle adjustment during long term grid down we will do just fine. Off grid solar is one of the best investments I’ve ever made except for my wife and I won’t mention which one requires more maintenance.
I used to run an 8000btu air conditioner most of the day off a 24v 2000 watt inverter and 24V 3kw battery. The Solar panels (1.5kw) had enough output to run the window unit and left power to spare after topping batteries off. I am now looking into getting me a Hybrid inverter and starting this off grid journey again. I live in South Texas were 110 to 115 F is common and need a small cabin to cool me down now. I currently run my drip tape irrigation system and water well on solar and plan on adding more off grid power stations.
I have a Big Battery 24 Volt Hawk @ 3.8 KWH powering a Victron Phoenix 24/1200 Inverter with 400 Watts o Eco Worthy BiFacial Solar Panels and It Runs a 6000 BTU Air Conditioner and Cools The Spartan 40' Motorcoach / Bunkhouse really well. Other Kitchen Appliances and LED Lighting, Flat Screen TV and Stereo with ease.
My 5000 BTU units run 450 or 500w. A 1000w "solar generator" will run them 2 hours to 2 hours 15 minutes. That would be 12000w per day. Which I think is 12000wH. Your number seems different.
I have 1200 watts of solar, 24 volt 200 amp hour battery and 3000 watt power inverter, I have been running my 5000 btu window ac 24, 7 since I built the system, the battery never gets below 50% it also charges all our phones and runs my tv.
are you keeping dead bodies fresh in there?!?! why do you have a 5000btu in like 50 square feet of space lol

Excellent points. Thanks for your insight.

What Hybrid inverter are you thinking about getting?
You have answered my question!
Thanks for posting.
Glad to help!

Sounds like a great setup!
Thank you for sharing this information. What was the total wattage used for the 24 hr period? Thanks again.
2100 wh total.

Now ... on to refrigerators and chest freezers. 🤔
That is an upcoming video....
Power demands of freezers and refrigerators are miniscule compared to an airconditioner.

Nic setup
5 hrs of perfect charge? Long story short autonomy is hard to fight!
I don't understand your comment but thanks for watching my video.
