For some reason, they decided it might be good to make that tool slower, clunkier and less useful when used in an assembly environment... There used to be a big "Select Dimensions" button within the dialogue box, pressing that button or pressing D on the keyboard would automatically display all dimensions from all parts within an assembly (which is very useful for my workflow) and you could instantly start picking the ones you wanted. Now I need to go click the "Select Source" button so I'm able to click on the part I need dimenstions from and then I have to click AGAIN on the Select Source button to deactivate it so I'm able to click on the dimensions I want. So needlessly annoying and will surely make our workflow much slower since we can produce up to 500 drawings per day.

Documenting assemblies can be frustrating - I will look to see if there is a solution for this issue.

@@professor_porkchop There is one... and as always, it is to code your own tools in iLogic / VBA because Autodesk can't be trusted to deliver a half decent product for an increasingly, borderline unaffordable piece of software.
