I'm coming from Solidworks and AutoCAD and decided the best method to learn Inventor was to start with the basics. I like your pace and style. Thank you very much for posting these tutorials.
@@n.n8192 Hard to say at this point because I'm just starting out with Inventor, but I do remember SW being much easier to figure out and overall more intuitive than Inventor.
i am using both. Both have their own strength. For me who design Furniture with Parametric Design, Inventor win over SW. Why?, You can easily set your parametric data in Microsoft Excel and it works perfectly fine. But, when it comes to tube structure, SW is champion. You don't need Assembly mode to so. Tube structure in Inventor very pain in the ass, if you don't manage it's generated files properly, you will mess up everything. for those who love surfacing modelling, SW much much more versatile and many editing tools can use and more tweaks can be done. For configuration design, yes, Inventor is better. I said so, because, not all dimension in feature can be link to Global Variable (SW).
Excellect tutorial. I did a parametric modelling course about 10 years ago, trying to relearn what I've forgotten. 1st lesson is fantastic! Gonna subscribe and try to complete the course. Thanks for creating and sharing?
Is there a way to change the X, Y , Z lines so they don't look like they are part of a sketch. I would like them to be red or any other color. while my sketch color is black.
im using inventor 2023, and u are explaining for inventor 2025 and 2021. will your videos be useful ? what differences should i consider between the two versions when watching your vids
It really doesn't matter, my videos go back as far as 2012 and they are still usable even with the latest release. That being said for best best learning experience, I would recommend watching any of my 2021 - 2025 videos.
You are, officially, Guy of the Week for this incredibly helpful tutorial. I cannot thank you enough!
