My dad and I are restoring his 67 F100 and with the new weatherstripping the doors wouldn’t close. We tried adjusting and got ourselves into a mess where the door wouldn’t close. This video saved our bacon thanks!!
Jeff it took two years of opening and closing the doors and just the news seals forming to the closed doors to form. Now I don’t have to hammer the door closed, but our new seals did make it hard to close.

I love this body style. They are hard to find now...
I don't know where you live but they grow on every tree here in Kansas (4 state area KS, MO, OK, AR). 61 - 66 are also easy to find if Face Book marketplace is any indication. That being said, as they gain popularity, it will be more involved finding the ones in better shape.

Just an FYI. I did go to national parts depot. They don't offer any parts for an inline 6, 4.9/300cu engine. Not complaining but that the truth.

Vemos vehiculos y Pick Up con excelentes trabajos de restauración ; Pero se observan separaciones en capót, maleteros puertas que de paso no cierran bien y suena a latas descuadradas, lo que hace presumir que han tenido choques fuertes lo que hace que no sea recomendable comprar un vehiculos con este tipo de detalles. Got my new NPD weatherstrips installed on my F100 this week....not thrilled yet, I had to move the hindges and striker on both doors all the way horizontally outward just to force the doors to close. hopefully they will settle in , not a big fan of the door sticking out 1/4" front and back horizontal lines!
I've talked with NPD about doing the truck weatherstrips liek they did the Mustang ones they offer. Right now it just isn't in the plan. But they are aware of the situation. Keep in mind too that this isn't the fault of the parts places. This is more about the manufacturer of the part.

and props to Jeff for doing what Ford didn't do....that alignment wasn't right from the factory (and that's more like copius amounts beer or whiskey the night before!...and not marls...Winston's if you did the cars and Pall malls for the trucks....the cabovers industrials and F guys were stogies!) well anyway great vid and stay safe and away from those slightly bent frames!

I really wish you or someone would do a vid on the internals of the Ford F-100 doors. Mine is giving me fits. Can't get the inner-latch to work right. I can't see how it even works, so I'm getting nowhere trying to fix it!

What's your thoughts on an hei conversion for an old inline Ford loghead with the old vacuum distributor?
As long as the distributor retains a vacuum advance, plugs are replaced and regapped to HEI specs and the distributor is set up well, the HEI system is awesome. Usually, my only complaint on V8s is the epic size of the distributor cap.

I had a 65 f250 and I had to replace the bolts inside the body side of the driver's side door because someone was a gorilla and snapped the heads off the top hinge. It took a caseof Pepsi and a few star words to fix it. Then about a month later we has a firestorm and burned everything to the ground.
Hate all of that for you Mark. But I like star words...might be stealing that.
Hey guys I have a front driver side corner hood dent and a driver's side roof dent on the rear corner. Both spots are hard to get to as there is an inside layer of metal blocking off access to the dents. How should I get these dents out?

It never fails, hit record and the neighbor is going to fire up a chain saw or weed eater. Or one of my kids is going to bounce out into the shop or like you said an infantry regiment is going to roll down the street. 🤷♂️ I would have to agree with the assessment of the body alignment, of those Marlboro smoking coffee swilling men of that time. They were certainly more concerned with meeting their production quotas over panel alignment. When I aligned the doors on a 67 mustang, I just got to the point of “good enough”.
Yeah, at some point I got tired on the 72 Mach and it shows. Lol. The loudest kid is Nolan, our youngest 🤣. The whole time we were setting up, it was quite as inside the shop, then as we started...bedlam.

Where did you get those mirrors?
They were on the truck when we got it. You can sometimes find them in the salvage yards or on eBay.
they are west coat JR's. They were fairly common. I am more a fan of the big west coast mirrors my self.

Cut out a bigmac per week for each extension. You'll be able to crawl in there in no time
I don't eat Big Macs. Though I do enjoy Whataburger and a bit of the old In-N-Out when I am in Texas or the west coast. And if I were 150 lbs, it would still change the position of the cab if I crawled in there.
