  • Hey everyone!
Here's a gameplay video of the original Splatterhouse on the PC Engine Core Grafx plug and play console I recently purchased.
Splatterhouse came out in the arcade in 1988, from Namco. It's a horror-themed scrolling beat 'em up type thing.
Lots of fun and memories of this game, though I had never played it on a home system before. I talk about the game's censorship, influences and the other games in the series. And get beaten up by flying knives!
Have you played this game, either on the arcade or other system?
What is your favourite game in the series?
What's the scariest/goriest game you've played, retro or otherwise?
Feel free to comment below, thanks for watching!

Remember playing this in the arcade, fairly sure I have the megadrive version but I think it's the sequel?
    Looks great on the pc-engine.

Yeah, it's pretty faithful graphics-wise, apart from the censoring, though as I mention the sound isn't as atmospheric. Yeah, Splatterhouse 2 is great on the Mega Drive, plays very similar to the original. Thanks for watching!
