Hello! I'm currently on holiday away from my PC, but I was still able to make this video from my laptop. Watching a lot of @MIKAN Algodoo physics simulations lately has inspired me to go back to the 2D style for a bit. It's an old idea I had to turn synthesia piano videos into a physics simulation.
I mentioned this in a recent community post, but I think it would be fun to turn these "battle" videos into a recurring series. Anyone can enter the competition by joining on Patreon, then for the duration of your patronage you would be included in all the battle videos. At the end of this video I have a full round leaderboard, and we could carry over the points or wins from each video to a lifetime stat sheet for each player. Or, we could do team colors instead of individual competition. It sounds fun to me, but let me know what you think in the comments below!

the music that seems like it would sound super out of place in an intense battle but somehow doesn't, the fact that the marbles scream when they hit the top, that ending, this is all beautiful
I might have an idea who this Laura black is
In case you dont know, the piano piece's name is "Fantaisie Impromptu Op.66" composed by Chopin (the piece is very well known and it's fucking hard)
Edit: i think it's obvious to know since the name of the piece is literally written at the bottom right corner of the screen (im stupid)

Ahh yes, the good old days, back when i watched Jack Spero (RUclips channel that does marble competition stuff), back when i was in school. Good times
And now marble runs on RUclips is mainly MIKAN churning out surprisingly creative ideas on the regular

the fact I started with Ophiophagus, only for them to be eliminated, then chose SparksOfGaming, who lead for the most time, only for Laura to take the lead at the very end was a lot more investing than I thought this would be

Pretty cool!! Only suggestion with this specific format would be to have a marble entire from each side to help give more fair advantages to the ones that came later vs earlier

Love how Chopin's fast classical music gives this feeling of a dance with dance as the marbles sesperately scarmble to try to paint as much as they can.
I think it is ironic that the sweetest melodies in here can also be the deadliest in trapping the marbles :P

I really love Chopin! I think, “Fantaisie-Impromptu” is one of my favourites… I’m playing this piece on the piano at the moment! Not as hard as it seems :D

Whenever i watch marble racing videos i always pick a marble to root on, the first time i ever pick one that did good(SparksOfGaming) Laura Black just had to come in at the very end and crush my spirit.

Idk why but I just commentated the whole video in my head like it was some big grand finale. I would recommend. It made the video like 10 times better then it already was, especially with the ending.

i think the longer notes should have been worth the same amount as shorter notes, since they're easier to hit.

I would love to see if it's possible to mathematically calculate things like which one lasts the longest, which paints the most notes etc. Maybe if you had some sort of equation or function mapping the notes you could reverse engineer it to find solutions which tell you which time a ball needs to be released to perform the best in a given objective.
I like the juxtaposition of the beautiful music and the screaming.
