    Thank you Hannah of ‘& Ivy’ for sending in your candles to Wade! Your packaging is amazing and I absolutely LOVE the touch of glitter to your candle tops! I agree with Wade that your vibe across all of the products that you sent to him coincide with one another! Way to go!!! The baby Paolo santo wax melt cubes was a nice touch and gives me inspiration to do similar once I get there! Well done ‘& Ivy’! ❣️
    Wade, please don’t let Alan near your candle lab! 🤣 He’ll eat everything that smells good!

    I absolutely loved the glitter on the top of the candles! I myself am planning to experiment with making mica-coloured embeds in my unscented candles, but a bit apprehensive about wick clogging. We'll see. Gonna be my first project after coming back from the holidays. Thanks Wade, as usual, entertaining and useful! Greetings from Prague this time, not Belgium :-D

      Honestly it's pretty normal down further in the jar. Less oxygen and the oxygen coming in on fighting the c02 going out. So it just causes drafts.

    Hey Wade, Thanks for all you do.. I just think your an awesome person and very handsome!! Quick question, I just started using Coco83 don't really know what wicks to buy for that type of wax, as I'm use to Soy wax... Say I have an Standard Libby vessel like the one in this video, what wick would you recommend to me to start with? I've gone on a few groups on FB and get different answers, I don't have the funds to go out and buy every wick that's made... Just need a starting point here!! Lol..

    • @BlackTieBarn
      @BlackTieBarn  3 года назад +1

      ☺ Thanks Amanda. For both compliments, lol. I probably wont be much help with this one though (sorry to let you down). I dont use coco83 and not very familiar with it (at least yet). Most people prefer CDN wicks with coconut. I think I would probably try some premier or htp wicks personally as well. Sizing though.. i have no idea since i dont use the wax. Could you maybe just grab sample packs of CDN, Premier 700, and htp and go from there? If I get a chance to test some coco83 i will certainly share my results and tips but at this time... my info on it is limited. :/

    Made my first candles using the pro 600 wax from The Flaming Candle, and used 765 wicks but it’s giving off a little too much smoke with fragrance. Should I use a different wick??

    • @BlackTieBarn
      @BlackTieBarn  3 года назад +1

      Depends on the jar. What jar size (diameter)

    • @stephvolks8427
      @stephvolks8427 3 года назад +1

      I reused a three wick vessel from a candle I bought from Walmart. So I would say 3.5x4 at least. I think my issue is trying to construct a candle to duplicate one from retail where the chemistry is totally different. Heat throw is amazing on the wax though. I constructed a 9% fragrance load.

    • @stephvolks8427
      @stephvolks8427 3 года назад +1

      @@BlackTieBarn the wax is softer in nature so it may only need two wicks instead of three.

    • @BlackTieBarn
      @BlackTieBarn  3 года назад +1

      @@stephvolks8427 okay, I understand. I would start with 3 premier 720s or so. If that is too much, move to 2 wicks instead. Multiple small wicks will almost always burn better and smoke less than a single large wick.
