  • A couple of Mongrels were out hunting for a prize around Brio’s Breaker Yard on Daymar when our scout in a Mantis spotted a C2 Hercules with escorts on approach. Popping their Snare, they chase the newly acquired target into space and while calling their wing mate over and telling them to put a call out in MSQD comms for help to take down some potentially juicy booty…

Looking for a casual organisation that offers you the backing of a notorious pirate organisation? Want to feel useful without getting your hands (too) dirty? Want to be associated with one of the most infamous piracy organisations in the verse but don't have the time or experience to be able to join them?
Have you considered joining a sister org in The Mongrel Corps?
The Mongrel Corps is a self-sufficient ecosystem that umbrellas Mongrel Squad and several other orgs. If we ever lack allies, the Mongrel Corps will ensure that we are not at the mercy of our adversaries. It consists of specialist organizations that support each other, with Mongrel Squad at the center as its piracy organization and combat arm. It also has an auxiliary combat force and two logistic organisations to cover the remainder of our needs with the potential of expansion should the need arise

Nice work boys and girls, a few surprises but you handled it well! Very much looking forwards to how piracy evolves again when we get back proper disabling options!
It's been nice to see such an uptick in people making an effort to defend themselves with escorts / gunners, and come back to try to take the prize. Kudos to those that try!

Blew up a bunch of pilots, denied an enemy org 1.6 mil auec, pocketed the goods for yourself. Sounds like a perfect day.

Back in 3.12 we'd make 60k a hit on a GOOD day, and split that between the team. Making the numbers go up has never been the core goal. Soft death has lowered the skill ceiling, but once you've worked as a tight knit team to disable a ship, board her, push through the corridors to secure the bridge and take a prize... no other game loop seems as much fun anymore.
Was this hit worth it? 100%, all day long, without a doubt ;)

This was also before the maze from salvage really took off. So back then 1.6 mil may have been on the small size, but it was nothing to scoff at
