I've already knit two Sabai Tops (Paula strickt/Susanne Müller) - one plain stockinette, one with the ribbing at the edges. Love the design!
I just saw someone make that top on my insta feed!! Both versions sound beautiful - I will always love a boat neckline on a top 😍
@hipknithooray yes! The boat neck is what drew me to it as well! Can't go wrong there; a more polished look and something more casual are possible when styling it...
So exciting to hear about new* projects and I am already looking forward to your Everything I knit this summer videos 😊✨
(and hopefully there will be no wool or acrylic 😅)
Lovely to see you again! I love the idea of a long term project whilst also doing the quicker summer knits. I too struggle with often just loving the colors the designer has picked but somehow feeling it’s “boring” if you copy them. But I think imitation can sometimes be the highest form of flattery. 😊
I agree!! It’s just easier to imagine myself with the FO when I already see it on someone else but definitely not very experimental haha
I've swatched for the Mixed Rib Cami with KFO's Cotton Merino and I'm really excited for it! It does look really elegant as you said
I feel like it's always a good idea to have a more intricate project on the go that you know it'll take you a while to knit, like the Jenny Jacket ☺
It’s so pretty!! I was also thinking it could look really cool with an asymmetrical bottom hem 🔥 but idk if I can figure out that math
@@hipknithooray Would look super cute! It's knitted top down so you'd have time to figure it out though haha
Currently swatching for the Soho Top while watching. I've been wanting to make it for so long!
Hi Rebecca! Beautiful plans. Enjoyed knitting through your new video, I love your energy and inspiration for knitting. So many camisoles are on my list as well!
Ah thank you!! 🥰🥰
I'm currently testing the Genie top! Looooove the design!!
Oooo how exciting!! I will be checking out your version then haha
i have knit and love camisole no. 8! for me, it’s perfect for summer workwear. i knit it in KFO merino, not your typical summer yarn but it’s great for my air conditioned office!
Ooo thanks for sharing that! Its perfect then since I’m always so cold in my office during the summer 🥶
Lovely plans, Florence´s top is also in my TKL, but wanted to say I do admire you for tackling the Jenny jacket!BRAVE!
Yesss so glad to have the encouragement and motivation of a KAL!! Otherwise I’m not sure if I would have attempted it haha
I love the technicolor purse. Hadn’t seen it before! Might have to give it a try. I was also thinking of working on the Audrey top. 😊
Petite Knit has my heart…and needles haha! Both seem like pretty quick projects too
I’ve been influenced by your last video and am doing the armholes of my pi camisole while watching this
Ahh exciting!! I finishing up the second armhole now as well 🙌🏼
You might really enjoy the Tikva Top by Lydia Huth! You and I share similar criteria for what makes a good summer project: higher neckline, thinner gauge, etc. That top checked a lot of boxes for me. The combo of knitting for olive silk and merino was really interesting and nice to knit with,, too. Plus, it knitted up SO quickly. I think mine took me 8 days!
Can’t wait to see how everything knits up - especially your Audrey Top! I’ve been debating making that one and will be very curious to see how yours come out. Thanks for another fun episode!
I was sooo close to including the tikva top! I actually have the pattern already too so I could cast on 🤩 maybe with the Illimani Sabri
@@hipknithooray ooh, I bet it would be so lovely and squishy in that yarn. The pattern definitely gets a recommendation from me!
The top you're wearing is so pretty! 💕 So far, my summer projects have been one knit tee and one crochet tee. 🧶
Thank you!! And thats great being able to switch between knitting and crochet 🤩 I’m thinking of crocheting some baskets soon
Simone/Rust knitwear just released her new Cleo top. Looks great and has options.
I’m knitting Crescendo top and you might like it! It’s also high-neck, trapezoid neckline. I made it in halter-neck, open back style but I might raise the back panel like the original design. Check it out!
Acrylic and Wool for Summer in Toronto? 😢😢
No. Don't do it.
This Summer has been VERY hot and humid
(I'm in Quebec)
Don't do it!!!
😊
😢 lol
I'm knitting four Drops tops with cottony and also the Thea Top with Sandnes Garn Line.
It's my first year knitting and first summer tops 😅 Everything is new and strange. Summer tops leave less margin for error I feel like.
