    I owned an SW20 between 2007-2019, bought as a 18 year old apprentice, and loved it dearly. Lovely to see that the next generation also appreciates these cars!

      Lets hope we can all keep these cars running and affordable for a next generation as well. SW20 is a really fun car for young car enthusiasts!

      did you had any problems related with mechanic i am thinking about buying one but the car is 33 years old and the people around me is telling me not to buy it because its gonna break every day...

      @@raulruiz6165 Really depends on the state of the car. It's a really old car so you are going to run into issues, however if you don't need to rely on the car you can figure things out for it.

    Hey mate. Awesome video. I've been following you for a while now and I don't really comment in the comments section but honestly, I am building my one it was a running project but I've seen it stand still atm but honestly, I reckon that you've done a really good job on the car. Can't wait for more videos.

    LMAO right off the bat, one minute into the film and you get a thumbs up 👍from an onlooker hahaha
    Not only is it fun to be inside, but being outside and looking at the car is fun too!

      Snap Oversteer also happens to FWD! Rally guys use it to get around corners faster! But also, with the Turbo engine, it's more likely to happen; due to the heavier engine and increased power!
      What's great about the 2 is that it's fun to commute in. I drove a friend the other day and he said while sitting in my passenger seat it's fun to ride along in and that he was jealous of my car. He drives an E34. The lack of power steering and the light weight are probably what makes it so fun
      To the point about parts - thank you to all people making new parts for us to buy, and people making tutorial films. The Community has been very good to me!!

    I 100% agree, ive owned my sw20 for 4 years too. Very rewarding experience to drive it once you learn the limits and manage/prevent snap oversteer. Old car parts break, a pain to work in the engine bay, but as you fix things , you have a reliable toyota gem. 👍

    I got mine 20 years ago and besides the coolant issue, it runs really well, same color as you and driving this is one of a kind experience, still put a smile on my face after 20 years....

    the used car market has gone insane the last few years...here in germany you easily pay at least 12,000 euro for a halfway good mr2 sw20...and for that kind of money you can also get a good late 90´s porsche boxter...and i think when it comes to fun driving mid engine cars the boxter is the better choice.
    you really have got to be a real mr2 fan to pay that kind of money for a almost 30 year old toyota...since i do not believe it has potential to become a high value classic collectable...that been said it´s a nice car with a timeless design!

    • @Dutch_Fake_Ferrari
      @Dutch_Fake_Ferrari  Месяц назад +1

      Porsche boxter defenitely a good choice as well! And really with the German prices. I sometimes look at German cars and you guys look like you have pretty high prices for 90s jdm cars.

    • @pauls.8748
      @pauls.8748 Месяц назад +2

      @@Dutch_Fake_Ferrari yes jdm prices are crazy especially in NRW because we like to use them as track tools for the nürburgring...cars like a civic typ r, impreza wrx and lancer evo all cost a small fortune if you can even find one thats for sale...but also the prices for hot hatches are insane...was thinking of buying a abarth 595 competizione and even these small little pocket rockets you cant find one under 15,000 euros over here even the old models from 2009! but i guess if we germans are stupid enough to pay these high prices then the only way is up for the cost of a used little fun car!

    im about to go look at one this week! sadly its a RHD but super cheap, might look into a conversion to LHD sometime if i do end up getting it

    • @Dutch_Fake_Ferrari
      @Dutch_Fake_Ferrari  Месяц назад

      If it's super cheap i'd say just enjoy it as a weekend car! I don't know the costs for LHD swapping, but I don't think that's going to be an easy/cheap task.

      Most cars you need to change the firewall to go from rhd to lhd or the other way around
