I am a bookaphile and have many bookmarks but these are adorable and I want to buy one each for all my family members, whether book readers or not. Then It occurred to me that something like this would be great christmas tree decorations. With or without names I love the idea. Maybe they already exist. I hope so.

These are so beautiful! And very therapeutic to watch. I’m obsessed with watching resin videos and want to try it out myself. If you wanted to seal the bookmark, how would you go about doing that?
If you mean like seal the gold pen paint then you could use a glossy sealer in a spray can, but I'm not sure how that would look on a clear surface like the transparent parts of the bookmark. I use it on models. There's probably something non-toxic out there though made for sealing objects that are meant to be touched a lot. Or, you could resin over it again I suppose.
I’ve been wondering the same thing. I ordered everything I’ll need to make there and I’ve already poured a few without the lettering. I don’t want to let these out of my door without ensuring that the letters were sealed in. I don’t want letters to curl up on the edges, nor do I want the letters to have a texture on the surface. I plan to apply the letters and then follow up by adding a little resin Clear coat on top. This is a beautiful design, great inspiration, thank you!!
These are the most beautiful bookmarks ever! I just got my resin set in and had to make this my first project. The gold flakes floated up to the top and it the resin cure with gold bits sticking up though :( Did I just use too much? Or am I supposed to sand them down and put another layer of resin on top? Is there a trick to get them to stay down? I'm disappointed at my results but I'm eager to try it again!

I think that would be something you need to figure out for yourself since everyone's costs are different and how much you want to pay yourself per hour. If you check places like etsy, you can get a general idea of how much people are willing to pay for a personalized product.

Yup, surprised, no topcoat, seen others use it for other art detail protection in other projects. Also, thinner, bookmarks that are thick change/damage the spine of books. Like the other comment said, great for wedding favours. But with the topcoat.
After adding the names do you apply another layer of resin? I know you didn’t show in the video but was curious. Do the names peel off easily? I love your videos ❤

I have this same mold I have tried about 8 times now to get one to just be even all around with resin it doesn’t matter if if level it out 100% on a 100% level surface it always comes out larger and thicker on one end than the other . Can you help me and tell me what I am doing wrong ? Thank you !

question: I make these all the time and fine that my bookmarks comes out a little bendy. Now mind you, I measured my 2 parts correctly and they sit for about 7 hours. Should they be hard after that amount of time? When you remove your bookmarks have you ever experience any softness or do they ALWAYS come out super hard?

You put the liquid stuff in a mold and I thought you will put the other half of the mold after putting the liquid so you can get a perfect shape. How did you get this perfect rectangular shape? I just ordered these molds and I used Amazing clear fast resin. They did not completely harden. A little bend in them. How and where did you leave them to cure?

absolutely lovely BM I'm just curious to know after colouring the edges i find the gold can only be noticed throughout the entire video on the edges but when they are finally placed in their holders you can see the gold rim at the top. is there something i missed as i tried exactly that but it can only be seen on the sides and not the top as your do in the finished product.

The resin is the seal. No need to do any thing else once it dries

Mix it within the resin and make sure not to use too much and break it up nicely then they shouldn’t float

Are you using the same machine? She’s using a Cricut joy. I notice my Maker and my Joy so cut a little different.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, but I wish it had a top coat. Ultra fine letters like that are easily damaged/ come off.

😅 it takes 24 hours to cure but 3-4 days to fully cure/harden. Glad flames are from Amazon, forgot to add the link 😔

I always seal mine with UV resin. Or, you can use more resin to create a nice seal.

Depends on how much resin your bookmark moulds need.
