That took me back to some nostalgic place of when I was young and would meet my girlfriends downtown in our city, and we would go into stores that had beautiful things like these. That was in the '60s. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work. It's so generous of you.
I am a bookaphile and have many bookmarks but these are adorable and I want to buy one each for all my family members, whether book readers or not. Then It occurred to me that something like this would be great christmas tree decorations. With or without names I love the idea. Maybe they already exist. I hope so.
What a lovely video - just the right speed and amount of information, even the music was just right. Very therapeutic to watch. I loved your bookmarks - so beautiful - and the attention to detail, making the little card holders at the end. Thank you for sharing.
Absolutely Stunning!!! I have 4 jug-sized bottles of that resin/hardener and I'm afraid to use it, but watching this video has pushed me over the edge.
Very nicely done! Please Tell me, how did you actually did the rims so you could also see them from above? Because when you normalul color them, like you showed, you barely see them. And then, at the end, totally different look.
These are so beautiful! And very therapeutic to watch. I’m obsessed with watching resin videos and want to try it out myself. If you wanted to seal the bookmark, how would you go about doing that?
If you mean like seal the gold pen paint then you could use a glossy sealer in a spray can, but I'm not sure how that would look on a clear surface like the transparent parts of the bookmark. I use it on models. There's probably something non-toxic out there though made for sealing objects that are meant to be touched a lot. Or, you could resin over it again I suppose.
I’ve been wondering the same thing. I ordered everything I’ll need to make there and I’ve already poured a few without the lettering. I don’t want to let these out of my door without ensuring that the letters were sealed in. I don’t want letters to curl up on the edges, nor do I want the letters to have a texture on the surface. I plan to apply the letters and then follow up by adding a little resin Clear coat on top. This is a beautiful design, great inspiration, thank you!!
These are beautiful! I would also make keyrings out of them, but without the name, unless I could figure out a way to get it inside the resin so it didn't wear off with time.
You could add a thin topcoat of resin on top of the adhesive vinyl letters, and let that dry. This way the vinyl is embedded in the resin and will be protected.
They turned out pretty. Here’s an idea, just before they fully harden, bend them slightly and glue a clip or barrette on the back. They’d make great hair clips
I think that would be something you need to figure out for yourself since everyone's costs are different and how much you want to pay yourself per hour. If you check places like etsy, you can get a general idea of how much people are willing to pay for a personalized product.
absolutely lovely BM I'm just curious to know after colouring the edges i find the gold can only be noticed throughout the entire video on the edges but when they are finally placed in their holders you can see the gold rim at the top. is there something i missed as i tried exactly that but it can only be seen on the sides and not the top as your do in the finished product.
Hola! me encantó tu trabajo y me gustaría saber que maquinas usas para imprimir los nombres y realizar el cartón donde los guardas al final por favor. Enhorabuena son muy bonitos los marca libros!!
These are the most beautiful bookmarks ever! I just got my resin set in and had to make this my first project. The gold flakes floated up to the top and it the resin cure with gold bits sticking up though :( Did I just use too much? Or am I supposed to sand them down and put another layer of resin on top? Is there a trick to get them to stay down? I'm disappointed at my results but I'm eager to try it again!
The smaller ones can be really nice for place cards for weddings.. alittle personalised wedding favours the guests can take home with them.
Yes!! Great idea! 💕

The resin is the seal. No need to do any thing else once it dries

Mix it within the resin and make sure not to use too much and break it up nicely then they shouldn’t float
