    These are awesome!! Making some for gifts for my daughter, mother in law, and teachers. Does the paint on the back chip off at all? Should we seal the back paint with mod podge or is it fine without? Thanks!

    • @AmyMakesThat
      @AmyMakesThat  Год назад +3

      I’ve had mine for 2 months (didn’t seal) and they’ve held up! But if you’re gifting/selling I’d be safe and seal with either mod podge or polycrylic!

  • @aubreeneal918

    I love these! do you see any benefit to sealing the back with mod podge or similar? or have you noticed it holds up well without?

    • @AmyMakesThat
      @AmyMakesThat  Год назад +1

      You certainly could or with polycrylic to ensure that the paint remains! So far I’ve used mine for 2 months and no chips :)

    • @AmyMakesThat
      @AmyMakesThat  Год назад +1

      @@Farahwd if you can find a good quality spray sealant, I don’t see why not! I’d test it out before spraying in the actual project in case it doesn’t work. I’ve always used liquid sealants and they work great!

    • @AmyMakesThat
      @AmyMakesThat  Год назад +3

      They are such a great product idea! And I would to be safe - I’ve had mine for about 2 months and haven’t had any scratches/chipping, but I’m also very careful lol. So it doesn’t hurt to seal them for customers to make them even better quality!

    Question: does the paint not chip/peel off at some point? And the vinyl doesn't come off? I have found that most things I make have to be sealed with something or other, and permanent vinyl still comes off some surfaces. I'm learning to craft, lol! I just want to make sure things I make are durable! I made terra cotta coasters with patio paint, and it just was a CHORE figuring out how to stop it from chipping and peeling off.
    Thank you! Also, these bookmarks are gorgeous and inspiring!!

    • @AmyMakesThat

      hey! mine have held up pretty well without sealing but you can use polycrylic for extra protection. Glad you loved the bookmarks, I looove the foil + paint combo it's gorgeous!
