    I think i like your way it's easier to take the bumper off . I've got a new transmission cooler ac condenser, and I've also got a universal transmission cooler. i just don't want to have to regas the AC. You're a very excellent instructor teacher

    Man!!!!!! Thank you so much; you just saved me a lot of money! It went better than i thought. What i thought was going to be a pain was taking the bumper on and off, but, it wasnt. For me the hard part was pushing those transmission lines in place; had to ball up a rag so i could get a grip on the line. And Your right about making sure they're in; it felt like they were in but whem i pulled really hard, they came out. You made it look easy......must have one heck of a grip! Once again, Thank you!

    The 2 ac lines going into the condenser on my jeep are leaking freeon, really don’t want to do all this to fix it lol really don’t see a point right now since the service 4wd light is on after having a new module and t-case put in last year, over $2k in parts along with a new oil cooler last month, tally that up to $3k in it, probably going to just trade it off at this point

    Great explanation! Thank you for taking the time to post this. I am tackling this job tomorrow on my 2014 Grand Cherokee. At the 8:00 minute mark you mention that you can drain the oil out of the A/C side just like you did the transmission side. What type of oil would you put in the A/C side? Thank you!

    • @MikeHowy2111

      It's the MOPAR ATF4 👍

    • @btwbrand
      @btwbrand 3 месяца назад

      @@MikeHowy2111 The question was what oil goes in the A/C side.. not the transmission cooler side.
      Putting ATF in your A/C is a disaster.
      The correct oil is called PAG oil. All PAG oils are the same just different viscosity.
      At most I wouldn't put more than 2 ounces in while doing this replacement. You typically don't find any sitting in the cooler.

      If it's leaking, it will come out on its own which I believe is the reason for replacement. I found a leak in one today using dye and will be replacing it in a few days. The refrigerant usually leaks out in a day.

    I realized the leak was coming from the a condesnor, after I had it completely ripped apart.
    Is it absolutely necessary to have the ac drained 1st? It would be difficult to put it all back together just to have the freon drained.
