I think it's more of a glitch than abduction. Slimes stack together like that a lot, but I think the explosion before this + the fact that the top slime was a flyer let them keep ascending.
Only 1 hour into the vod, but what a roller coaster ride it's been, I started screaming when he put in the second largo, I was expecting one became a tarr and eat all the slimes, I'm honestly relieved and a little disappointed when he removed the rock pink slime hybrid from the prison cell Just in case anyone who don't know, a tarr are formed when a largo eats a plort unlike the ones it produces, so the way he put 3 different kinds of slimes in the same cell was very risky, but you have to open the in-game wiki to know that so I'm not expecting him to know this unless chat tells him Also him keep selling pink plorts and "complaining" pink's value keep dropping is super funny
watching rt play this is how i imagine sports fans watch their teams when they're on a losing streak... that is to say i'm internally yelling at every move he makes
This is so much less stressful to watch without having to cope with the backseaters in chat going rabid because he didn't pick up the most optimal fruit
Man i was waiting for this archive. I tried watching it on twitch but the chat was so hardcore backseating and toxic it really stressed me out. I've never played this game either so i found it fun watching it for the first time and getting to know all the mechanics, chat was so agressive that he was playing it "wrong" it really took me out of it.
They want to stop him from making the mistakes they did despite Dan messing up being g the actually funny/fun parts of the stream. They are the type to use guides to play games super optimal despite that being boring

It's hard not to backseat, I'll admit, but once you get into the mindset of "boy, I wonder how they'll feel about this" spectator, it's a blast.
tbch the gameplay didn't even bother me, it's that he said there isn't much to the game aside from the numbers when it has a genuinely very sweet story (i understand streamers not wanting to read but, like, you don't have to be loud and funny 24/7 i promise you can stop to read a paragraph every so often) and i don't mind that he didn't read it, since i don't expect that from his type of videos, but it was a shame to hear him say something so wrong so confidently- even ignoring the story there's so much for slime rancher to offer
honestly i think playing the first one was a good idea! if you start with the second one, imo its hard to go back and be missing some quality of life stuff and a lot of slimes! i think both are really fun and ive been going back and forth between them myself haha ♡

I was fine with RT filling the corrals with over 30 slimes and 3 different types of Largo, because that had the potential to be very funny if he created Tarr. But you know what WAS frustrating? Chat not telling him to build a garden instead of instantly feeding every fruit that he found to his slimes.
Itd be better if chat could realise that chaos and inexperience is good sometimes because it produces the most entertaining gameplay. If they could consciously shift to that mentality instead of making it their mission to have rt do everything absolutely perfectly with 100% efficience, they'd have a lot of fun I'm sure
I'll say this much, this makes me want to buy this game myself. So I can play better than RT is here and gain some level of logistic catharsis. Brilliant marketing, the game studio should pay you.
This isn't just RT but anyone else notice how streamers don't look at the corners of their screen. This i think is more of a how games have been made but unless explicitly told people wont even try something. (For example asking about fast travel before even attempting to sprint.)
he really should read the mail and the hobson messages, they are really nice. Also learning the favourite food would help him a lot. Slime rancher 2 already is better for the whole disconnect from the other characters that he mentions at the end
When you get a new game you don't sit down and read the guide book you play it. It's the game devs intention, rather then tell you everything with on screen pop ups. They leave it on the pc so you can learn the game yourself

I think Dan just hasn't realized he can interact with them yet. I agree with you in that he doesn't HAVE to go through and read ANYTHING if he doesn't want to. There's no wrong way to play a video game. But when there's information about gameplay he straight up missed (like being able to interact with the 'H' holos around the map), it's not wrong to try to encourage him to check it out

Who are you selling these slimes to? Is there competition? Is this an effective means of making a living? Do you have sole ownership over the slimes that grow/reproduce on/near your property? What happens to the slimes when they're sold? Are they processed into food? Are they used in the clothing industry? Do they not grow everywhere else? If someone buys slimes, can they then start their own slime ranch and compete with you? What happens if the slime population gets out of control? Is there slime inflation? What if a disease spreads across their numbers and humanity's food supply is in danger? What if a bigger company comes in and starts processing them en masse, will you be out of work? Are the slimes even real? Are they just in your imagination? Are you on drugs? Are you in the hospital? Are you even real? I NEED ANSWERS DANIEL!
100% a good idea to play SR1 over 2 atm. As much as I've loved what I've seen of 2 so far, there's really not much other than exploring right now. It needs a lot of work to balance it out and there's a lot of content to be added yet.

What happens to the slimes when they're sold? Are they processed into food? Are they used in the clothing industry? Do they not grow everywhere else? If someone buys slimes, can they then start their own slime ranch and compete with you? What happens if the slime population gets out of control? Is there slime inflation? What if a disease spreads across their numbers and humanity's food supply is in danger? What if a bigger company comes in and starts processing them en masse, will you be out of work? Are the slimes even real? Are they just in your imagination? Are you on drugs? Are you in the hospital? Are you even real?
