Bought the strike eagle and fly it regularly. It obviously doesn’t have all the bells and whistles other A2G aircraft have but it hauls a shit load of ordinance and does it quickly.
Hi, I don't think there is a topic that is currently as hotly debated as this one. I have all RAZBAM modules and hope that both sides come to a reasonable agreement. The buyers are the ones who suffer. I remember the disaster with the HAWK, which was simply patched out back then. That would be very bad with the RAZBAM modules.
It's a hot topic and it there is a lot of heat towards anyone who speaks about the topic. I am also hoping that they come to an agreement that will come to a good resolve for the buyers. If the RAZBAM modules go the way of the HAWK then... well it won't be good
You overthink things my friend. Just fly the modules you enjoy, until they break (if they break). Only at that point, is it worth talking about breaking modules. And, just maybe a small disclaimer on videos that potentially, maybe (nobody knows yet) razbam modules may cease to work one day.
I have OCD and I cant stand the idea of a module stop working anywhere in the future, and if they work I cant stand the feeling of something not finished or with minor bugs
If rumors are true, razbam is the bad guy here. It seems they are working with microprose on a standalone f15 sim in the background since a while If that’s true, it is completely understandable ED pissed off. Sad situation, m2000 and AV8B are on my favorite module list.
I bought mig19 , av8 harrier and mirage 2000 , I am glad I did not buy f15e and south alatantic map. To be honest that is a scam , why Ed keep selling these modules in steam ?
AFAIK because they are contractually required to offer the product in their store. The dispute may take a while, but from what I understand if ED were to violate the agreement to sell Razbam products, or affect the sales of Razbam products, that would be grounds for the next dispute. I personally still hope the lawyers can sort this out and reach an agreement... would help everyone, in the end.🤔
@@dcs_one Was an info on the forum. BN or NL, IIRC. The thing is legal stuff is always messy and complicated and takes forever. I hope they resolve it and move on, as well. Currently it's a loss for everyone.
It's just sad. The M2K might be one of the best modules by far, and the rest of Razbam's are quite amazing too. With the Mig-23 almost there and all happened, and what I think is the worst, no news for the customers...
Why this clickbait video? Let them fix the situation and fly the modules. Would I buy another Razbam module anytime soon? Probably not, but I fly the ones I have. You don't add anything to the situation by doing this video. No news, no nothing. Not even educational. Just another vulture.
Is the rumoured Microprose / Razbam F-15E game would have anything to do with the dispute ? Because if there really is a game being developped, they did not start yesterday ...
@@dcs_one That's just complete speculation on my end. From day 1 something is off with this story ; like if ED did overreacted or something like that. But I could very well be light years away from the truth ...
First off, RB can kiss my azz. Never another penny to them in any sim. But I own the Harrier and the F-15E and fly them both a lot. I paid for them so I'm going to enjoy them as much as I want.
You're operating under the assumption that dcs itself will keep snd maintain its modules forever. In reality, dcs itself may end up fading away. Their business model is, if you buy a new module, dcs makes money and keeps making content. This can't last forever as eventually people will lose interest, they won't have enough drive space and they'll love on with their lives. So my advice is, if you like it. Fly it.
Exactly. If one day, for some reason, the servers stop working... All your invested money and your hours of enjoyment will be dust in the wind. Enjoy it while it lasts.
100 percent agree, it's a real shame. I was just starting to explore the Strike Eagle and was finding it very interesting. I really hope this gets resolved but I'm not holding my breath. If Microprose is working with Razbam I think it's an extremely bad move. Today's Microprose isn't the Microprose of the DOS era and associating themselves with Razbam would be, for me at least, a deal killer.
I really hope they resolve it. The F-15E is probably my favourite aircraft to fly in DCS. It feels like it was built for me. 12 bombs + 4 missiles with space left over for either 3 external fuel tanks or 3 more bombs. It carries so much fuel (even without drop tanks) that for most of my sorties I can be in full AB all the time. It’s so fast and powerful I can bravely run away from my enemies even while climbing. I don’t mind the bad TGP alot, I like striking strategic targets and bunkers so I mostly use 2000lb JDAMs with the A/G radar. The few times I use the TGP though it sucks and I would really like to see the litening or even the sniper TGPs
i still enjoy the strike eagle and i don’t give it up just yet. This kind if legal disputes can take a heck load of time, they are not making public statements because if they say just a tiny bit too much it could be used against them in court. I once heard of a lawsuit about a couple of dollars and bad service from a cab driver, crap tool almost 2 years till the customer got his 15$ back and got compensated for the troubles.
we bought the plane to ED not to Razbam, thats the point ED at least need to get the right of the modules and fix them or they should be removed from the stores with a full refund.
I love the harrier, one of my favourite dcs aircraft. Mirage and F15e are also great and the mig 19 is a classic. It’s sad to see this dispute as it really hurts the end user.
ED Should take over all the RB modules. I only have F-15E, and I love it despite it is less than half finished. I don't want it to become another Hawk T-1
The Harrier is one of my favourite aircraft, along with my beloved A-10CII but i cant bring myself to buy the module as things are at the moment as its a big investment in both time and money, for the possibility of it to cease working at anytime.
If I stop flying F-15E - then I stop flying in DCS. And if the rumors are confirmed that RAZBAM with MicroProse will create something where you can fly F-15C/E then I will definitely forget about DCS. For now, only F-15C and E and OH-58D keep me with DCS. I am not interested in the rest. And the fact that I am still playing with it is only a reality in which there is no - if only temporarily - alternative. Falcon BMS is slowly developing in the right direction, there is already a solidly made F-15C there, so the decision to leave DCS is slowly starting to mature...
It's a sad situation, no doubt about it. I asked for a refund for the F-15E when the radar stopped working, but since then I withdrew my request because I love this bird so much. I've been flying off camera, I've been creating missions for it that I intend to distribute to those who still fly it. On the other hand, making videos about it is a tough call: you run the risk of influencing people to buy a module that is unsupported. As someone has already said, maybe a disclaimer before each video will help out.
I am new to DCS and wanted to buy the mirage 2000. Then found out that ED and Razbam were not one the same page, so to say. So bought the F5 and F14 instead during the last sale. I hope Razbam will come back to support their modules
@@dcs_one I really hope they do. But if it is true that they are working with microprose on a new game then I think the chance of them returning is small I'm afraid
That depends on what you like! Start by deciding what era you want cold war or modern. Some good options are the f-16 and f-18.
