Sure, and you know everything they need for simulating the B-1/modern B-52/and the top secred B-2/21? You can only have a mediocre MOD for those, like you have from the Su-30/F-22/F-117 etc. because there is no actual info about the systems inside, and if you somehow got some info you have the DOD/FSB infront of your door! That is also a reason why the Typhoon takes that much time to at least make it believably realistic without going into secret stuff and get sued for.

@@WanderfalkeAT I think you are right. Bot sure what level of realism we need. People start complaining when the ITR is half a degree off the real thing. If I look back at some older sims like DI Tornado, Jet Pilot, F-29: they were less realistic (avionics, flight model, everything), but they were lots of fun to play. While they did not implement all the buttons, those buttons and functions which were modelled made sense. E.g. F-29: stealth-o-meter showed how likely your ac was picked up by enemy radar. Ground radar could be doppler or non doppler, and as far as I recall this impacted radar detection (doppler were avoided by beaming, while the non doppler was best approached flying towards the radar station). An open bomb bay door increased your RCS. Compare to DCS: you have tons of circuit breakers which are clickable, but I think many of them do nothing. You can turn on cockpit heating, but if you don't it has no impact (well, I think the JF-17 cockpit has an icing effect). I still like DCS, but as good as it is as a cockpit immersion simulator, I think crucial aspects are neglected way too much. E.g. who uses scratchpads to enter target or waypoint coordinates? Who is using the nav equipment (ADF etc, not the GPS)? Nav fixes like it was required in the good old times: not really required in DCS. DCS has the potential, but it is very difficult to realize the full potential.
@@slowhornet4802 Remember those games had to run on a C-64 (I had them all as well), so they had limits for what was possible. I guess if they had enough powerful computers then when programming those more realistic sims they would also have gone out to simulate everything! And about GPS - That is not good when you rely on it at all for the Military. Every pilot still has to learn to fly without it. TACAN Navigation is still a must for the Military Sector. They even train Pilots with Maps still. For GPS you only need to know the ICAO code or Coordinates and up you go - As long as your Satelites are still up there and you don't get jammed that is. Also Satelites aren't simulated in DCS nor other Combat Sims. So GPS would be a Cheat over a Simulated Modern Battlefield. First victims of a real modern war are: Energy Infrastructure, Airbases and Satelites. Russia would be capable to shoot down all those GPS and Musk Satelites over Russia and Ukraine easily if they had to while due to the impressive integrated Air Defenses Russia posesses NATO would have troubles to do the same to all the Glonass (Russian GPS) Satelites in that area.

F-104 with a decent flight model. But in the end: more gameplay. E.g. a Carrier Command style campaign. A simple but working logistic system where it makes sense to knock out a bridge to make re-supply routes longer for the enemy. Or to knock out a fighter airbase to have some time with no / less enemy CAPs. Prime example remains DI Tornado. with a slightly better flight model and updated graphic it would steal a lot of flying hours from DCS (for me at least).

Problem that causes the slow development of these modules is the slow growth of the community. DCS needs more active players so the development teams can expand. In my opinion partial shelving of MAC project was a huge mistake. Introducing more FC style aircraft will lead to IL-2, War Thunder and MSFS players transition to DCS for the realistic experience.
Most certainly wasn't. The key issue is that ED has their hands full with DCS alone. Having MAC on top of that, no thanks. The updates to the core are slow enough as it is.
That is true, many players accept less realism to have fun in those sims, and their playercount's are great! If they would release some western counterpart to the Su-25 like the A-10A for free, that would motivate many western players to try it out. That P-51T doesn't cut it! And I'd put those FC modules out for less than 10$ indefinately. And maybe include a Chopper as well. But if they inform themselves they find the Skyhawk or the VSN stuff, that is really good and carrier capable as well. And ED made a nice compatible Forrestal for those for free. With Mariannas as a believable scenario also for free. Not to mention that UH-1 Marines and the OH-6 Loach Mods getting into the mix. There is also a AH-1G in heavy developement as Mod.
@@WanderfalkeAT I think FC3 style aircraft which mainly have less switches and otherwise ideally same performance as full fidelity modules would be nice (e.g. no UFO performance, radar should be more simple to use, but should not have better performance than FF modules). Gulf War that would complement the Soviet Era Weapons we have ingame the most. Adding all those weapons to a 1980's plane setup is taking so much time and effort that every module is getting more expensive each time. And then they make that South Atlantic Map with the British and Argentinian Ships etc. but don't even make a Sea Harrier or Seaking. All that stuff is so half baked, running for years as early access... And then with every major update they have to break their neck again to fix the new issues with the Modules. Not to mention the Mod Makers... And there are some amazing mods out there who end up as payware module sooner or later because the Makers simply give up, like the Hercules. Just happy the Skyhawk is not one of them.
P-38 should be in the works! with the Pacific theater project. That was for the Normandy that was missing. I'm glad to see at least in some phase from the F4u-4 Corsair, f6f Hellcat, A6 intruder, A7 Corsair, f8 crusader. All of that was in my wish list to eagle Dynamics and heat blur. Ty to all that are involved 💯👊😎 Ps also the Cobra USMC Helo. This would wrap up the Vietnam and Pacific theater or as close as we can.
Before adding new aircraft modules, ED should fix the bugs in the existing modules and meet user demand: - Implement dynamic campaign; - Improve AI; - Realistic communication with ATC; - More attention to the context of WWII.
We got the chinook, but i would really like the black hawk, more modern russian fighters would be cool so that we can have more realistic modern combat servers, something like the su-30 or su 27sm so it gets r 77
Thanks for another great summary Andrei. Love watching the videos of these whether or not I get to fly them. There are plenty of modules to keep me busy now. Many of these modules are kewl to look at from the outside, but I am always sitting inside where the view is relatively similar from most aircraft. Having said that, there are some modules that would be fun to try out like the A-6, F4U, F8, and that beast Skyraider. Time for me to fly 🙂
18 modules! imho, judging by the history of DCS module development, as well as the on-again off-again questions around the financial status of the sim, I think most of these are still many years away from release...with a decent number likely to be cancelled along the way. I can even see some of the modules (developers) potentially migrating to different/new pastures, like the recent talk around RAZBAM and Micropose's rumored F-15 game. The ones I'd ike to have if they actually see release this decade, are the Hercules, A7E & A6.
I think Eagle Dynamics should focus on some Russian modules to balance the PVP multiplayer servers, like the Mig-23, Mig-29, Su-27 full fidelity and the new Su-35.
I really, REALLY hope we get that Crusader to go with the Phantom (once Heatblur does Naval variants down the road). Especially paired with the A-4 and a Vietnam map, that's begging for early war/ Gulf of Tonkin scenarios.
Honestly, no one (ecept some players from countries owning those) want's a higher fidelity Su-25 when there are 2 allready good ones out there. If ED would have put the A-10A in instead of the P-51T they would have much more new players.
Thank you for another great video!! I know it will be a long while, but I am really looking forward to the Vietnam era aircraft. Can't wait for the map too.
@@vietnamec9379 I don't even know how they got what they already have. Maybe they're too small fish? Perhaps if they got bought and then Mr. Microsoft would ask, then maybe? I think, for a module, they need an OK from a manufacturer, not a unit owner.
@@dienicy I think ED making a deal with ROSTEC or UAC is possible imo (obviously for export models only), but some higher ups from ED do show a little bit of russophobia.
Perhaps they could be able to get permissions from Ukraine, to model the SU 27 Flanker B. I cannot see any issue with this option and Russia cannot do anything to avoid it
When more aircraft are added, we sorely need a new map where more peer to peer fights can take place. Like Kola. A modern Normandy 2.0 or a eastern Europe map would be a nice change of pace from desert 2.0. or heck give is a Vitenam map. One that can work for both a peer to peer conflic with China and cold war.
Now, if they could only make an interesting combat flight simulator around these aircraft, they might be on to something. Imagine the map of MSFS, DCS aircraft and Falcon BMS campaign and AI.
This background music is MUUUUUUCH better than the one on previous videos - inlcuding the volume level! Thank you for that! Couldn't watch many of the previous videos because of that annoying backround music... 🙂
The last few months, I haven't had the time I used to be able to put into DCS - I've barely checked out the EA Chinook and Afghanistan. So for me the wait is easy while I occasionally hop in for some low level flying or instrument landing practice. I feel for everyone wlse who is eagerly awaiting core improvements and their favorite upcoming module though! (For me it's the F-100)
The aircraft that needs updating and release is "The SU-27". I have flown this aircraft from the beginning. It needs a clickable cockpit to start. At the Heart and Soul of DCS is the SU-27.
Well that would be a welcome plane to the 1990's original FC3 American and Soviet Setup we have. Because honestly, who want's to fly a F-5 outside of a cold war only server except for Aggressor Simulation? And even for that you would love to have a F-16A/N!
Tbh, i literally do have almost every aircraft in DCS i desperately wanted to have, so will most likely not purchase any more aircraft in the nearby future. But i´m still looking forward to several FF modules as they will massively enhance the sims envroinment, especially in MP. I just wish they would get the F-15E back on track asap.
From what I hear, and don't take it as Official Information: The reason for early announcements from 3rd party and ED is to lock the reservation when making a module early so others don't take the project at the same time and ending up with years of work for nothing.
you missed: ATC, Super Carrier, Vulkan, Dynamic Campaigns! Su-22, AH-1, and English Electric Mirage III, Mirage V, Mirage 200-c5, Su-17, IA-58, A-29, MiG-23 (by Razbam if ever happen)
Lol, Almost every aircraft I care about is in the game already 🤣 There is still a couple I'd like, The Corsair and Hellcat but also The F105 Thunder Chief, F104 Star Fighter and, the F9F Cougar. Mostly though what I want is the Dynamic Campaign and a Vietnam Map.

Really cant wait for the Eurofighter, Great video HIP Games!
I feel the same way. But will the Eurofighter Typhoon really be released? :/
We got the chinook, but i would really like the black hawk, more modern russian fighters would be cool so that we can have more realistic modern combat servers, something like the su-30 or su 27sm so it gets r 77
we will never get modern russian stuff its all classified, even something thats the age equivalent to the f16 is classified because thats just russia
Well there is a great Blackhawk Mod, even a Armed Version.
Great vid! Nice reminder of the future modules that we are all waiting for!
18 modules! imho, judging by the history of DCS module development, as well as the on-again off-again questions around the financial status of the sim, I think most of these are still many years away from release...with a decent number likely to be cancelled along the way. I can even see some of the modules (developers) potentially migrating to different/new pastures, like the recent talk around RAZBAM and Micropose's rumored F-15 game.
The ones I'd ike to have if they actually see release this decade, are the Hercules, A7E & A6.
The f100 has a progress tracker and is updated often. Shows 70 percent complete. Would have been a nice addition to the small blurb about it in video.
They tease things such as dynamic campaign and spherical earth but give not even the slightest bit of a timeline and the development lasts FOREVER!
Small community, tiny pool of funders, small team, massive products. This ain't Fortnite swetheart
I think Eagle Dynamics should focus on some Russian modules to balance the PVP multiplayer servers, like the Mig-23, Mig-29, Su-27 full fidelity and the new Su-35.
Mig23 is being worked on but Razbam
@@darkshadow7709 Not any more, if they ever were other than a few screen renders.
I do not think a Su-35 is possible with all the Top Secret Shennanigans. Not even a Su-27SM or Su-30/34 - Ever!
@@WanderfalkeAT Correct, impossible.
Hell yeah we love a good recap
Excellent Video AC, excited for all of these modules AND for the HIP Dynamic Campaign
I really, REALLY hope we get that Crusader to go with the Phantom (once Heatblur does Naval variants down the road). Especially paired with the A-4 and a Vietnam map, that's begging for early war/ Gulf of Tonkin scenarios.
They should do an F-111 aardvark and a hi fidelity SU-25.
Big thank you for your overview.
It's a travesty that there's no UH/MH60. The most important helicopter series in the world.
Yeah, it's honestly mind boggling how they have not made that one yet.
Hardly the most important .. 16 000 .uh-1 5 000 uh-60 not including variants
there is so small amount of "red" modules...
Reds don't like to share.
@@dienicy as a person from one "red" country ed from, i don't understand why they don't try to get info from India
I think kola is more interesting or the Alpes mountains, since flat Normandy is pretty boring for airplanes and choppers
I want more Informations from the Hercules. Really rare to hear something
Now, if they could only make an interesting combat flight simulator around these aircraft, they might be on to something.
Imagine the map of MSFS, DCS aircraft and Falcon BMS campaign and AI.
Waiting for the Hercules, ef, super Sabre and tornado
Bombers! As for whats in the pipeline... Hellcat, F100 and F104.
All those jets are awesome but it doesn't matter much to me until i get dynamic campaign. You can do it ED!
Great video, Andrei!
YEAHHH EUROFIGHTER MENTIONED WOOOOOOOOO
This background music is MUUUUUUCH better than the one on previous videos - inlcuding the volume level! Thank you for that! Couldn't watch many of the previous videos because of that annoying backround music... 🙂
Thanks for all the updates love your dedication and hope that Petrovitch is putting in his own work or else he will not be getting treats as often.
I sincerely hope Heatblur will add dynamic bort numbers to its modules.😊
Thanks HIP!
Wasn’t there a MIG-23 as well coming in the same video the Fulcrum appeared in?
Thanks for this recap.
you forgot about dcs JAS39c gripen standalone
I can’t wait for the A6 and the Hercules. Would love to see bombers focused on for a bit. B52 and others.
Just waiting for three modules. F-8, JH-7, MiG-29A
January 2042.
Hopefully Heatblurs work on the F-4E will help speed up the development pipeline for the Eurofighter.
I'd like to see more century series fighters. F-101, F102, F-104, F-105 etc....
I worked on the Starfighter myself.
Super News 👍 Thanks
A-7 and Mirage iii. The Mirage iii/V has the 2nd most MiG kill by far compared to other aircraft.
The aircraft that needs updating and release is "The SU-27". I have flown this aircraft from the beginning. It needs a clickable cockpit to start. At the Heart and Soul of DCS is the SU-27.
I just want the BO105!! 😍
I am so ready for the Fulcrum
With the current f14, and intro of a7 and a6 we’ll get full 70s early 80s carrier ops!
On my favourite list ist also the BO-105 ❤
Any flaming cliff f-16A plans
Well that would be a welcome plane to the 1990's original FC3 American and Soviet Setup we have. Because honestly, who want's to fly a F-5 outside of a cold war only server except for Aggressor Simulation? And even for that you would love to have a F-16A/N!
Didn't OctopusG and Magnitude3 both tease a Su-17/22?
I wonder how the Hercules project is going. Think that was announced well over a year ago. Updates are far and in between. 😢
I really like this video. THANKS!
They talked about adding a PC-9 and that would be nice since there’s no modern single prop aircraft..
Edit: ohhh you talked about it🥹
Its sad that there is still the issue with Razbam because the Mig-23 is in my No. 1 spot on my wishlist. 😔
Redfor mains (still) on suicide watch.
I just want a good Flanker goddammit.
God I wish the PC-9A was a different variant. It being totally unarmed just guts me. At least the Skyraider gives me hope for my favorite FAC tasks.
What happened to the A1 Skyraider????
Tbh, i literally do have almost every aircraft in DCS i desperately wanted to have, so will most likely not purchase any more aircraft in the nearby future. But i´m still looking forward to several FF modules as they will massively enhance the sims envroinment, especially in MP. I just wish they would get the F-15E back on track asap.
I hope there going to do the Westland Lynx both Naval and Army versions
we need dynamic campaign simulator!
F14A GR95. It was announced around the same time we got the F14AGR135 and the B model. Not heard from ever since.
Hey, whay not?
A comparison, aircraft developement time versus module developement time could be fun. ;)
Is it a good investment to buy Mirage at this point ? Will it be supported considering the spat between ED and Razbam? Sorry, new to DCS.
Hawk Module buyer here - I'd wait! I also own the Razbam - Harrier, Mirage and the Strike Eagle and worry greatly!
@@WanderfalkeAT thanks for the reply!
@@vmfulcrum Yeah, feeling with you, bud!
All this showing off but no delivery. My great grand children might finally see these haha
From what I hear, and don't take it as Official Information: The reason for early announcements from 3rd party and ED is to lock the reservation when making a module early so others don't take the project at the same time and ending up with years of work for nothing.
Excellent Video (again!) Andrey... Thanks for that update!
but... any news about the Crystal Super..?
A-7 and MiG-29 look awesome
I still wonder what Razbam plans to do with the Mirage III they were working on long ago
Nothing, they were not developing it.
You forgot to talk about the long awaited Mig-29 full fidelity and the promised Mig-23.
My wish list .... Dynamic Campaign, Multi-tread Server, the F4u-1d, and Vulkan.
Call me when they made a playble A-50 and E-3, that would be a game changer
Whats about the f-104 Starfighter?
there was also in development the MIg-23 too.
RAZBAM so not included.
Can't wait for the La-7 and Mirage F1M
you missed:
ATC, Super Carrier, Vulkan, Dynamic Campaigns!
Su-22, AH-1, and English Electric
Mirage III, Mirage V, Mirage 200-c5, Su-17, IA-58, A-29, MiG-23 (by Razbam if ever happen)
PO-2 as well!
11 years to develop simulated AC, yes , yes, indeed they are simulating the timeline of the real AC
@@manizaeim 😆
Lol, Almost every aircraft I care about is in the game already 🤣
There is still a couple I'd like, The Corsair and Hellcat but also The F105 Thunder Chief, F104 Star Fighter and, the F9F Cougar.
Mostly though what I want is the Dynamic Campaign and a Vietnam Map.
Somebody forgot MiG-23 MLD!
@ssstrokash refer to "ED/RAZBAM" Controversy for more information.
Is the f15e coming?
but any date for eurofighter?
There are others like that Australian map that seems vaporware, the F8 Crusader, the F-104...
I hope CH-53 or NH-90 will be a topic somedays
I wonder how many of these we will actually see delivered.
The Euro fighter will be out in 2-3 years probably
😢😢😢 sadly.. Why too Long
😞
What ever happened with the A-1H
You forget one bird , the guy who do the Mirage F1 and the C-101, work on a F-104
It's in the video.
