I'm waiting for the RB-ED dispute to be over so they go back to updating the modules and I can buy the Harrier
little bit work to learn but it is a wonderfull aircraft!
The Harrier has one of the most fun flight models IMO and gets you very fast to the AO if the Tarawa or a FARP is nearby. Its HOTAS and systems just take a little while getting used to compared to the more intuitive A-10C. Also it didn't receive updates for several months before and didn't break at all, so I'd say it's safe to buy even in the current situation. Its status is very much complete, the only incomplete feature I found is HOTAS 3D modelled buttons not having animations, but then again that's the case with some other modules as well.
Harrier is a really good module IMHO. One of my favorites.
Harrier is one of my mains. Always fun to jump in and it’s easy and effective with some Mav gotchas if you’ve not been in it in a while. WP inc and Irmav Notes I always review if I’ve been in helos too much. When on sale it’s a steal at 3r but it’s been either no discount or 30% vs 50% so keep an eye out. If the m2k had a good tgp laser designation I would recommend that also but the AG I find lack luster vs the harrier.
@@FJFuentesCOYep, me too. It’s so flexible with FARPs and Tarawa, which is great for mission building in the editor,
The F-15E is a very modern module. Whatever is needed, ED should correct this situation. The impact to their reputation will impact all future sales and damage them financially in the long run.
I do not want to see this as a customer. I’ve enjoyed their product since 2020 and hate to see the damage to their brand. Please ED, work to a compromise and quick resolution. “Cease Fire” First (stop negative public statements from both) and “Peace Treaty” Second (path forward to continue modules and acceptable solution).
The longer this drags on, the more harm to both companies.
I’ve been a fan of DKS since 2013 and Ed has never let me down, honestly I'm already sick of your whining
2014, first purchase of MiG-21. I like flying, I always say thank you to ED 😊
I’ve loved this game since I tested a demo of LO:MAC (with PC Gamer?) back in the day…The OP is right though, it’s not a good look for either party and needs to be settled as soon as….
@@Bee87ifyYup!
There has already been a ceasefire and the lawyers are talking
i wish i had your optimism regarding the RZB dispute
Thanks for keeping updated. I am keeping the F-15e as I am confident a resolution will be reached. It is in no ones best interest for it or any RB modules for that matter to become abandonware.
I just took advantage of the sale. Got my son the A-10C , Syria and Nevada and I picked up Afghanistan, Kola and Nevada
@@markjohnson5885 yes
It has and will be active until July 14th@@markjohnson5885
A-10 is very fun, need to wait for the start of the month but pulling the trigger on the spitfire myself to finally learn a warbird. Bargain right now.
Nice to give your son this type of game!
@@TheDM3002XTuber he wants to be an Air Force pilot so figured it would be good exposure and intro into the level of detail he’s going to have to study.
Thank you Mr Celeste. I haven't picked any side in this legal dispute, however the nature of the discourse did unnerve me regarding the future of one of my favourite modules. Thank you very much for putting my mind at ease, and that of the others. A happy viewer from India who'll only follow your channel for definitive ED and DCS related news and commentary, apart from official channels.

Great video as always, look forward to these every week! One piece of constructive feedback though - as a former journalist it makes me a little uneasy when statements from parties like ED are presented as facts. That's not to say they're particularly untrustworthy or anything, just that in a news format like this I think it should be very clear that statements like "ED is not broke" are attributed directly to ED, since they are the source of the information. Unless it's something you can factually verify yourself I would worry that people would assume that's the truth (and looking at some comments that appears to be the case) when we're really just taking ED's word for it. You do generally make it clear where the information is coming from at first but sometimes it feels like later in the same section it's just presented as a fact if that makes sense.
Again not picking on ED specifically it's just a general observation. And a big fan of your videos in general, you do a great job of gathering the big news and enjoy the eye candy! So truly, just meant as some constructive feedback thanks!
I'll go further.
NineLine and BigNewey have a history of *proven* falsehoods. Not saying everything they have ever said is false, but when it comes to defending ED they are an extremly unreliable source. This is an objective opinion based in many past interactions that were later found lacking for truth.
It's be very very careful quoting them and i;d heavily disclaim anything they say, especially when it's defensive.
F-15E radar will work again if you set your Computers date BEFORE jun-13-2024 prior to staring DSC
If true, that sounds an awful lot like they intentionally put that into their product.
Thanks Andrei for another nicely put together update. I like the non-dramatic tone you take when explaining things related to the RB-ED situation. I think it's nice that you and others are now realising that this situation will be resolved when everyone involved acts as a grownup and that there is no need to let the rumor mill create situations we have no factual knowledge about. I just continue to fly all my modules, by ED and all other third party devs and I'm looking forward to everything coming our way in the coming weeks/months/years.
It's weird. Up until a month or two ago, razbam kind of had the reputation of never finishing modules, delivering things in a very incomplete state and being kind of flaky with support, but all of a sudden a lot of people are acting like razbam can do no wrong and everything is ED's fault.
100% this is on razbam sorry to any fans truth hurts. ED would not single them out without very very good cause as it's a legal nightmare any company worth their salt does not want to play with unless they are certain they can win.
All you had to do was just remember their lack of support for unfinished planes in Flight Simulator X and you would've known who is at fault!
Because, of course, Razbam still has a chance to complete their modules if they can't pay their devs...
This is why heatblur is top tier 3rd party dev imo, they made a complete module and add a little "flair" to it making it more unique than the other module. While razbam have been putting out half baked modules that barely works even years later
@@banyanyas839 Yep. When Heatblur announces a module you can rightly get hyped. When Razbam announces a module for an aircraft you like, it's like "oh no...."
Thanks for the Info, i switcht from Steam to Standalone DCS to support ED. And i must say it was a good joice. Hopefully ED and Razbam can solve the Disput. I think witout Razbam DCS isn´t the same, i love their Modules. And they bring DCS further.for me the AV8b MIG19 and 15e are great. And Razbam brings REDFOR Modules as well. And i want the MIG23 so bat!! DCS need more REDFOR modules
always the better choice anyway, can't trial modules on steam as far as I know.
@@SA80TAGE yes right you can't trail on Steam. And the Download Speed ist much slower and finally there are no Bonusmiles.
You are one of the few left with unimpeachable integrity by not feeding speculation into the drama storm. Thank you for that! Unfortunately, I was compelled to unfollow more than a couple youtubers that decided to sink below my threshold for BS
NOT surprised that HIP NEWS is STILL bringing in the hot DCS WORLD news to all their fans!!! Great job to the entire team!! And special thanks to NineLine for opening up on ED's behalf putting silly rumors to sleep!
I think i dont go to far by saying that your channel is the most serious news channel out of all gaming channel out there❤💛💙 greetings from Germany
Keep the seriousness :)
Thx for the news! Petrovich is our true love! 🐱 Sadly there is no Chinook pre-order on steam, personally I don't care about all this ED-RAZ s*/t and would like to buy CH-47 but on steam only... (there is a lot of ppl refusing to buy any dlc until the ED-Raz issue is solved)
Honestly, I'd just highly recommend switching to standalone DCS. I haven't even looked back since, the two week free trials of nearly every module was reason enough for me. (all of your steam purchases can be transferred to standalone)
@@deadpxl Yeah, but can I be sure to have a refund in case if something goes wrong with ED for example, like now we see the case of ED-Raz dispute...at Steam there is always a way to have your refund in such cases... I feel myself more secure on steam, sry for my choice 😏
It'd be really nice and convenient to have this issue resolved, proceed as usual. Also, can't wait for the world war II as the f4u-4 Corsair and the hellcat. World war II. Aircraft carriers '0 6 Enterprise. Also moving forward with the clock but the a6 A and b intruder. A7 & 8 Corsair. I know. Probably it'll just be the a6a intruder , also the A7 or 8. Corsair. Probably only one of each but that would be outstanding. I hope there are Blackhawks and Seahawks in the works. Also with large helos such as Sea dragon that is published & public as all the previous that I have stated above. History has been written, just couldn't figure out why we're jumping around the clock. It would be to everyone's benefit for these mods. Totally awesome! ! Ty for taking the time for your report and also my dream list as well as many others. Ty. God bless 🕊️
Ps- also the p-38 lightning for our USAF Brothers that is also public and published. Actually back in world war II is USAC. I hate to be stingy with a dream list. Compressibility in all aspects and assets of all posted above are published & public 🕊️ and for our European, the hurricane and typhoon. All public and published 🕊️
Thanks for the heads up on the sale. Been waiting for it!
Good to see ED step up and be adults with this whole module business.
I think that's it exactly - much virtual ink has been spilled at hoggit and others, and if there's some sort of a legal dispute ED is going to be doing exactly what they're doing right now. These are the same people that came "to the rescue" when the WW2 Kickstarter ran out of funds years back, and whatever the outcome of this is I expect that same level of customer care will be maintained
@@NoBrainSilent I'm not sure how long potentially multi-national lawsuits typically last for in whatever jurisdiction this would fall under, but it's not unheard of in the US for these things to go on for years, and given that we're only a few months into this thing it's still very early to say what a remedy might look like either for the companies or for us the consumers should it come to that. It's hard to imagine that in a niche software development field like this some mutually beneficial arrangement couldn't be made, but by reports there are some strong personalities in the mix that might gum up the works
Thank You for your unbiased information. We can always count on HIP.
Andrei you are the HEART ❤️ and SOUL for keeping the entire DCS community updated with all the DCS news. The community is so grateful having you… Thank You…. and we can’t forget you Petrovich 😉 Thank You too..
Your sanity on the topic is much appreciated!
You really have your finger on the pulse of DCS Andrei. Thank you for a superb summary/update on DCS. I don't think I will get the F15 until things are resolved 100% but I agree that speculating on the internal relationships of developers and DCS is not sensible or fair. You keep us aware of the truth and facts. You rawk man, love your videos 🙂
Sweet, happy Friday!
Very nice and factual update on the current situation in DCS.
Thanks and keep it up.
What i would like to have in the Sinai map is nice desert vfx like dust coming of the tops of desert dunes and clear edges of dunes.
DCS has the A.I. controlled B-17 Flying Fortress, was wondering if they'll ever add the B-24 Liberator as well.
I always assumed HIP was a reference to the helicopter. I only just realised it's your initials. I'm very smart person with big brain.
It's kinda sad to see ppl throwing shit at ED or Raz when we don't f***** know the behind the scene. Anyway thx for all the work mate :D
Sadly, those who know and understand the least tend to say the most. None of what the uninformed rant about would even exist without the extremely talented business and development teams involved. If they've gotten this far, they can probably resolve a contractual dispute or whatever the underlying issue is and move on.
It would be nice if everyone had the patience to just let them resolve it without all the drama. Or if they would read and understand the meaning of "early access" and the risk they are knowingly taking to buy into it prior to opening their mouth.
Thanks for the info, HIP!
Yeahhhh, some people were being really dramatic and pessimistic... *cough* spudknocker *cough*

Woah…where did the A-6’s and A-7s at the end come from? Did I miss an ED announcement about the AI versions??
You can set your system clock to 6/10/24 and launch DCS then the radar works fine.
Launch DCS first to avoid authentication issues
I might have to pull the trigger on Sinai. Haven’t bought it yet and with the updates coming and big sale now, it looks to be a good option.
*Sigh…Thank you Petrovich. I’ll be sure to use caution and keep an eye out for mummies and paranormal phenomena there.
I believe Raz and ED are working professionally on “the situation”. I believe they both possess good faith and a genuine desire for resolution.
People are more likely to believe things they want, and I very much *WANT* the Mig-23MLA.
I know Petrovich is wringing his little paws in anticipation. Lol
beautiful map, nice bit of tourist flying with the pyramids, and gaza strip scenarios have endless potential. Mavs lock the terrain through the pyramids though, I guess they count as buildings in game code. Made it tricky targeting the shilka I put on top. Could do an insane wild weasel river run too.
@@SA80TAGE Lol I genuinely laughed at this. Thats great, man.
they added a killswitch for the radar, which is a super dick move. you should have mentioned that instead of glossing over it...
Thank you, love your work 🍻
Please let the Moza HOTAS be force feedback.....🤞
It is.
Finally, Salvation!
It most definitely is
Thanks so much
Just a note about steam refunds: The two hour policy is actually just a *guideline* from steam and they can, and have, issued refunds for products that totally break or are unacceptable way past that. A user in 'good standing' with steam is basically allowed to automatically get a refund so long as they justify it and are not seen to be abusing the system, and there have been plenty of cases of users who are being denied access to a game or DLC refunding after the fact and steam support is saying it's okay. There seems to be *actual nuance* with the steam system. I don't think the current issues yet rise to the level of guaranteed steam refunds, but I also think it quite possible they'd allow it on a case by case basis if someone wanted it enough
I cant wait for the Sinia updates!
10:30 I am amazed of the fact you didn't even mention that they're going to announce HOTAS stuff this weekend at FSExpo, including an FFB base (the BA0)! That literally is the best news in decades!
What about MIG-23 process?
won't happen ever, not with razbam anyway
Thanks for not following the clickbait crowd spreading doom an gloom those should be ashamed of themselves. only hurting not helping
what im wondering is where is the news on the f4u corsair? ive been wanting that to release since it got revealed. I thought i saw months ago that they were close to release of the f4u, although idk if its ACTUALLY close or thats ED's definition of close
Updated DCS to the latest stable version yesterday, now every time I start DCS I get a popup message stating the F15E module is no longer authorized. It still shows as installed, but no longer is an available aircraft. Anyone else had their F15E disabled?
I got my Oh-58D!
I am sure that it is over for Razbam in DCS. Hopefully, both companies find a way forward.
My friend was really sad because of this drama. He is a harrier fan and wants to try out the harrier but is scared of buying it considering the current situation. Hopefuly it gets resolved and we can fly on harriers.
me but for the mig-23
I hear the harrier is pretty much "complete" save an IFF issue that's been present a few years I believe. It should still be a solid module and safe purchase, RAZ are unlikely to just abandon their work.
great work
Unfortunately, the situation with Razbam forced me to issue a refund. Which happened without any problems.
I really just hope the Sinai map will be fixed in general so it doesn’t have huge empty areas. It seems they have focused everything on custom buildings…. Not impressed.
ED is not broke but still they plan to release a barebone Chinook. Sure feels a bit odd instead of postponing it until they sort of trim, etc.
Sad to see people going straight to the Summer Sale promotion video comment section without knowing stuffs behind the scene, laying full blame to ED.
Anyway, thanks for the update. Love you Petrovich, love you HIP crews.
I do hope the issues between E.D. and Razbam get ironed out. I do really like the F15E and Have been enjoying the M2k-C
So can we buy razbam stuff like the m2k, or south atlantic map without any concern?
why not play another game ? dcs has a lot of problems, hardarw and software
@@camaroblackmatte I dont know good games without these kind of issues somehow
@@frapwaam5964 watch out supposedly the M2K is degrading, the A2A G limiter is no longer functional
Nah too late RAZBAM you fooked up. It'd be hard to convince me to buy one of their modules again. They should never of used the community like they did ransom updates for support. Maybe don't break contracts.
Have you heard anything else about the C130? Is it coming this year?
Since theres a way to move from steam to standalone and migrate modules, does anyone know wether its possible to migrate to standalone and refund the f15e from there?
Else im gonna open a ticket since it would be in EDs intrest for me to migrate over since less money for steam in the future means more money for them..
no that won't work, can only refund if you bought directly from them as far as I know.
I got a refund on the f15e and will spend the store credit on some cold war fighters. But for now, i wont put any fresh money into dcs, until the conflict is resolved
You did wrong.AI of cold war airplanes like mig 15, sabre ... is still broken. No fun in BFM.
NOICE!!!
I respect that they broke the silence, but they were quiet for to long very unacceptable. Could have at least made a small post
about the issue even if you did not go into detail to keep it mostly private. Not a good practice!
Out of all my friends, all of my coworkers, I am the only one who plays DCS. DCS is an expensive to develop niche product. I can not understand how ED would not be strapped for cash.
I am GLAD All Is Fine, All is Well, These are NOT the Droids your Looking For. All The Models Will work Just Fine. Just don't Fly the HUEY. The only Left Out of EVERY Update of All The Models FOR YEARS NOW. We are Proud to be the Hated Stepchild of the Family.
I got my refund purely because of what happened to the Hawk. As i had if from day 1, i was given no refund and told i could keep the module but they would not support further updates. So i feel very much at ease with my discission with the F15 E and ED were more than helpful.
Did the same and exactly for the same reasons
I'm hoping someone is developing an XB-70 module. Just for the fun of it.
Never going to happen. Nobody is developing something for the fun of it.
so with store credit can i buy another module??

what about the issue with the IFF of the harrier that is not working for years!?!
Go ask Razbam please. Years means something unrelated to curent events. Its sad but thats the truth
3:17 UAE? in Sinai
I would have thought that Petrovich would have been more enthusiastic about the Sinai map. I mean Egypt is rumored to be the land where people worshiped cats!
Unfortunately the only way that the community can influence the ED/Razbam dispute and register our disappointment with the lack of info or progress is with our wallets.
That means purchases are going to be on hold for many of us unless/until a resolution (one way or the other) is forthcoming. I wish it were otherwise.
Cannot agree with that, but its your point and I respect it. Any company can have disagreement and even breach of contracts. Its up to them to resolve it and not the customer. But things with Raz and Ed got out of hand. Once again, only people who know 100% what has happened can understand the situation.
Agreed. This situation is unacceptable for us as consumers, and I also will not be buying any DCS products until it is resolved.
Lmao. Not supporting ED bc Razbam didn't hold up their contract is laughable
@@ryanw5584This isn't about the content of their dispute, it's about us as consumers paying for a product/service and not receiving it. If you paid $80 for a sandwich and the manager tells you it's on hold because there's a dispute with the cook, you don't give him an additional $80 for fries.

There is a mod that fixes the f-15 radar.

yeyyyyyyyyyyyy
Seems the update has been postponed
Still think Petrovich should be in charge. And Andrei, nice two-step there. So if all is to be resolved then why the how many angels can dance on the head of a needle routine?
same reason you have to wait 3 days to get refund money back into your bank from any company yet they can take it from you immediately, red tape.
While I would prefer to have a fully functioning F-15E and to have RAZBAM back, their unprofessional communication doesn’t give me a lot of hope a resolution will be reached. I’m very glad ED has decided to give store credit.
have to say, I'm not comfortable buying any new modules right now, regardless of sales. this whole debacle has made me realize how precarious the entire DCS modules / core ecosystem is.
whats to stop a core update from introducing a game breaking bug in a module, and the dev not fixing the issue, leaving me $50 module I can't play or refund.
I know this was obvious to many already but as a relatively new player (5 years) it makes me nervous.
Man alive people really need to read the EULA especially with regard to early access.
Not everything in a EULA is necessarily enforceable, law will have priority. EU customers have been able to get actual-money refunds.
@@Motorman2112 They ruled on the right to decompile to fix errors, that's all I can find on the limits of EULA in Europe. Please share any links to other cases you know of. The other issue is ED is registered in Switzerland which is not part of the EU, not only that the EU tried to bully Switzerland into joining so there's no love lost there, enforcing European law on a Swiss registered company could be legally complicated and costly.
They're selling a product/license to EU customers: they're bound by EU law unless they want to stop selling to EU customers.
@@AdastraRecordings It's not any ruling about EULAs specifically, it's a general principle of the law having precedence. If the law says you are due a refund in certain circumstances, it is meaningless for the EULA to say that you aren't. You still are, because the law says so and has precedence. A company cannot simply write a contract that says "the law doesn't apply to us" and expect that to be upheld.
You're right that enforcement may be tricky in terms of physically getting any money across jurisdictions, but the EU could simply ban further sales if it wanted, which isn't a choice I can see ED going for.
CAP2 is really low quality. It hasn't changed since 2016.
Hopefully microprose can provide some funding so it can be improved. The idea of a «simcade» with a nice dynamic campaign is enticing. Back to the good old days of combat flight sims.
I don't know what's going on with Razbam, but I've always found the way Razbam does business to be garbage, so I'm going to say the problem between ED and Razbam is on Razbam.
HIP, Prickly, Casmo - My go-to's.
Why, thank you...
@@Pricklyhedgehog72 you the only guys that don't glamourise drama for clickbait, we appreciate that
Great informative video. Still not buying ANY modules at this point. This bickering back and forth between ED and Razbam is similar to children fighting in a yard....US flyers spent thousands of dollars on PC systems, HOTAS and modules. They need to think about their customer base, not what they can gain.
Of course ED is not broke, they charge 80€ for a plane
Man this sucks for razbam. All these refunds for the F15 just further screws razbam and hands more money off to ED. Personally I wont be refunding but I also wont be buying anymore DCS modules until this is resolved.
I have requested a refund on the F15-E
Same here, did not use it anyway.
I really dont care for the f15 as i get a refund and the module is not finished anyway and maybe never will. The 3 other modules i am worried for the future of even if ed says something else.
Several RUclips channels that I respected went for low hanging fruit and released videos with titles that claim the Razbam modules are dead and we’ll be stuck with glitchy non functional modules. Those channels have been removed from my subscription. Lost all respect
same here disgusting to see these respected or should i say were respected members go the clickbait route i also have unsubdued from them
What are they curing cancer, waiting for a full term pregnancy? Fix the problem!
It appears HIP Games, you still have not educated the stupid. The Mirage, Harrier and the Mig19 are NOT affected in DCS regardless if Razbam disappears. This is because the said aircraft are NOT in ealy access, they are feature complete in DCS, Therefore DCS only have to keep them functional with their updates (or fix them if their updates break them) as agreed in their respective contracts. So, all this dispute affects is only the F-15e module and NOTHING MORE !!!
I’m not that knowledgeable but I’m pretty sure this affects all razbam modules
@@Chlosephene No, only the F15e, the others are not in early access and are feature complete, or classified as such. It does not affect the Mirage, Harrier or Mig19, read the ED official forum for more details.
No to pre-orders..... Problem solved.
Oof
I hope ED can end the dispute with Razbam so we don’t have another VEAO Hawk situation.
I'm pretty sure ED takes too much money on each modules.. and so Razbam (to stay alive) should put their future modules at 80+ bucks ..
If you wanna pay that, be my guest. Not sure a large amount of people would be in agreement however
@@Phantom24425 But its a full fidelity model, unless you got millions of dollars to buy a real harrier for yourself!
@@Phantom24425 thats probably why Razbam is upset about ed lol, they always delivered good modules which are unique and loved but ED is making everything worse..
Idk why people are so hung up on the RAZBAM issue, they're one of the worst content creators in this game.
Because the F15-E is the only module capable of semi-realistic BVR gameplay, as ED insists on nerfing RADARs to force WVR battles (which is like almost 30nm with the 'big black square' feature).
The M2000C is awesome.
Thank you HIP !!!
