Season 3 really tried hard to fool book readers to think that the worst would not happen in the show. They steered Robb's marriage to a slightly different path so that they'd think that the red wedding would not happen in the show. And they made Theon escape his imprisonment so they'd think that he'd never become Reek.

I love that little detail. But no one can blame Theon. He’s so out of it that he’s not thinking straight, not to mention this guy helped him escape and killed his men in front of him. He couldn’t see that coming, no one can 😂😂😂
Knowing his own culture, Theon should have been alarmed when Ramsay told the fake story about being a little boy. The Ironborn were never the kind of people who used to be melancholic, loyal and grieving towards someone who hasn't shown his value yet.
Evil…just pure evil. Now I for one think a great villain makes or breaks a show and Ramsay is a GREAT villain. But man…there were points in this show that I had to take a break from him cause he was just too much 😂
The lesson is simple: You can never be sure who you are dealing with and you can’t trust anyone. If only he had turned around, gone somewhere else and his “manhood” would’ve been kept secure 🤷♂️
