I'm glad that even if this is a contractual obligation to promote the UFL, it helps to have this league promoted. I didn't tune in to the XFL or USFL much, but whenever I did, it was a pretty solid product on the field. Would like to see some more UFL games this year to see how the product is.

You can send players to different leagues in soccer; so it would be right to be able to do that here
Also this is not a development league its Pro Spring Football League. if the NFL wants a development league let them create their own

@@ReconcilemE you don’t know either. nobody knows. reality is it’s a mix of undrafted players, players who were cut from the NFL, and retired players coming back
To avoid diluting the talent, the UFL will expand but only gradually, i.e. 2 new teams every other year until they reach 16.

Went to see how much tickets are and realized the nearest team to me is like 1,000 miles away
That and quite a few other reasons is why you see about 900 people in the stands.
I decided to like Birmingham Stallions cos they resemble the Niners colors , so far UFL is pretty dope
I really enjoyed the games this past weekend. Cant wait for week 2. :)

Say what you want but their viewership was head to head with that of the NBA last year so people are watching it.

Birmingham is the closest followed by Memphis.
I'm from Hawaii but I still watch. It's centralized for now to keep costs down. XFL was all over the country and it was not profitable. Orlando Guardians were a big failure and so were the Vipers (in both locations). UFL needs to establish itself first and then expansion will come.

They should have made it 10 or 12 teams
They plan on it but starting leagues is expensive. If this season goes well there will be 12 teams in 2025 then 16 teams in 2026

1M high school players results in 80k NCAA players results in 800 NFL players in any given year. If UFL gets the next 200 best (including a few who were misjudged as not NFL caliber) thats still a very high level of football.
@@jjalkman1999 You forgot that the CFL signs up the next 200 players more so than the UFL. The CFL pays more than the UFL. US players are still signing with the CFL just before the start of the UFL season

Really was hoping for a 10 team merger hopefully if this year goes well we'll get two more teams. Probably New York Guardians (XFL) and New Jersey Generals (USFL).
Why?
The goal is to add another 4 team next year and get to a full sixteen teams in 2026 but we need to tune in and buy tickets and make this league successful so that can happen
And 3 of them are in Texas. I live in the pacific Northwest. No team even close. I cant even root for a team in California (Thank God).

The league doesn’t have enough teams to care about or make a full length season matter. May as well just make a tournament at the start and not even have a season
There is only so much time to devote to sports viewing . I don't mean to take a shot at what they are trying to do here , but the NFL is such a dominant force and my go to for football.
It's going to be hard to extend the time I am devoted to football while keeping the wife from cutting the TV off...lol
