EXACTLY! I mean soldiers take the battlefield and the know their assignment and they carry it out with precision because they know if they don't one of their brothers can get hurt or worse killed. He's 100% wrong. It's not just the receivers. Ben catching sexual assault cases, leveon Bell smoking weed, Tomlin with the snake move stepping on the field to block Jacobi Jones from running back a kickoff or punt return. Those aren't receivers. It's crazy to blame 1 position.

George's comment about not wanting to get hurt reeks of an excuse to me. He got caught and got called out for an obvious lack of effort. So, he threw out the potential injury excuse thinking that would make people back off. He thought everyone would be like "Oh, you didn't want to get hurt. I see where you're coming from." But he's not smart enough to realize that the excuse he gave was worse than if he would have admitted he was lazy and quit on the play.

When I played high School football, at the end of practice when the team would come together, we had a mantra for when we would break it down. The team captains would go to the middle and say "I'll give it up for you", and the team would respond "if you'll give it up for me." Then in the same call and response, "if you'll gove it up for me," "I'll give it up for you." That solidifies to me the definition of team.

Both him and D.Johnson want the ball it’s annoying af when your QB sucks offensive play calling is horrible only getting 2-3 catches per game barley see the end zone. Combined with losing. However they just have to do a better job keeping it in house. The lack of blocking on run plays especially for a teammate running hard is not a good look. The comment he made trying to justify it should get him benched a game or 2

This is more of a GM issue than a coaching issue. If you want Tomlin to sit players or use a similar type of discipline, you need to give him a roster that allows him do so. Also, the quarterbacks and other offensive players aren't good enough to have authority of the young players. Also, the Steelers need to take character issues into account when they draft players. Tomlin hasn't been perfect but he'd done what he's had to do to win.
