- How to Kiteloop Late Back Roll! Get High with Mike. The late back roll is SUCH a scary trick, but it's more scary than it is difficult. I have so many friends who are ready to go for it, but they're like, "You want me to loop and then WHAT? Rotate?! Bruh, are you high?" So in this video I'm giving you all the info I can to prepare you and give you the confidence you need to go for this trick. Work on those foundational skills. Get those kiteloops consistent and get comfortable with rotations at height. Once you've got the prep work done, get out there, nail that late back and once you've done it, send us the evidence.

Im so close to having a crack. Kite loops, heli loops can do. I have been working on high back rolls (no loop) to build confidence. I like to concept of dropping the back shoulder and looking over the front , that gives me the feel and focus. Will try it on a non nuking day! Cheers legend.
Hey Mike!! I love this video, been watching it non stop for about a year now and I've got it all down. Backrolls, kiteloops, big air backrolls, and a 7m kite. I'm going to send it on the next wind window (I live in Florida which is pretty shitty). I will buy the late back roll club shirt once I do it :)

I have tried a few big inverted Backrolls but getting stucked after 50-80% off the rotation and really had to force it to complete it. Any tips?

I sometimes tend to overrotate just before the landing. Have had some trouble correcting it💩 great vid!
Good to elongate the legs earlier in the rotation to slow it down then 😁🤘

I was just making up how to do this last night and it wasn't going so well. I was thinking I had to rotate when I pulled the loop not when the pull actually kicked in. Thanks for the video! Hopefully I'll get that late back rotation down soon! 🤙

Hey Mike , for some reason I feel more comfortable with frontrolls. I’ve been doing late front rolls at 8-10 meters height, as well as kiteloops. Would all of this work with a front roll instead of a backroll?

I can jump high. I can't measure exactly, but i can see that I am at the same height or even higher than the kites flying around me, so I am certainly at 8+ m. But then my kite is always ABOVE my head, and never in front of me. THerefore, I am always ending up doing an heliloop, with very smooth landing.
What is the trick to not do an heliloop, but have the kite looping IN FRONT of me?
pulling the loop earlier while you still ascending. If pulling less aggressive on the Bar, makes the loop bigger/ deeper in front of you. But be aware of the much longer freefall phase.
