it's called X-Men '97 because the original show ended with season 5 in 1997, with Professor X getting shot in the series finale. This new show is pretty much the next seasons, with the story starting at only several months after the original show's final ending. Ofc, you wouldn't know who Roberto is, as this episode is his debut in this X-Men show (FYI, he was first introduced in the comics in 1980s). This new show already got season 2 green lighted.
Welcome back! my X-MEN fans! So glad to share watching this with ya.....AMAZING! Cyclops with his optic blast superhero landing! and the music when Storm goes OMEGA-LEVEL, goosebumps and chills...GREAT SHOW!
As a couple of people pointed out. This takes place about 1 year after X-Men: The Animated Series season 5 ended. The series ended with Xavier receiving a critical wound that put him in a coma and Lilandra took him into space to try to save him as nothing on Earth could. It’s not exactly the same story the original showrunner was going to tell had there been a season 6 but it is actually rather similar. They got the rights to the original theme, got back most of the original voice cast that are still alive, recast the others with very similar voices, reanimated the opening to be very similar to the original, kept the original animation style using hand drawn 2D augmented with 3D at points. All in all, I have no complaints. X-Men ‘97 is simply awesome. I never would have guessed this would have happened.
It's a sequel series just like Fuller House is to Full House, imagine if they make Fullest House it will be a Trilogy series, and i don't know if other tv series did that before
The X men Animated series came out in 1992 first season and ran for 5 seasons making the 5th season ending in 1996 and it kind of ended on a cliff hanger but they did not renew it for a 6th season. This new series X men '97 picks up where season 6 would have have been if it had a 6th season. So after 27 year they are continuing and it would have been in 1997 where it continued for a 6th season but after all these years instead of just continuing they named it X men '97 season 1. Same Head writer as the original animated series first 2 seasons (Beau Demayo) but right before they released this new X men '97 Disney fired Beau so he will not be back for season 2 as Disney's writers are going to take the series in a new direction.
Lol. Youre confusing bishop with Cable. And you keep calling him Cable. But i can kinda see the confusion since theyre both from the future. But bishop and cable are two completely different characters with 2 completely different powersets as well as separate origins. :) I hope you continue watching and enjoying this sequel series to the original series
dude you only saw one episode you should have watched every episode to understand never just assume you know everything from only one episode it's like judging a book from the cover
X-Men 97 is basically a sequel series. The series you were talking about is the *ORIGINAL* show that ran in the 90s
You took the words out of my mouth when you said sequel series, just like Fuller House is to Full House
it's more of a continuation then a sequel but I guess sequel works

As someone who grew up with the original series, XMEN 97 didn't skip a beat
4:23 priceless 😅😅😅
Crazy not to react to the intro, that's a must!
Depends if they're getting copyrighted. Easier for bigger reactors i guess

Welcome to X-Men. X marks the spot 👌.
Nice! Happy to see you guys covering this. Its more than worth the time. Have fun.
It's been a long time that I watch X-Men, Made my childhood for life.

Degrassi has done it, so has Saved By The Bell.
@@moriellymoproblems7842 Which reminds me I forgot about Girl Meets World is the sequel to Boy Meets World
Theyre just picking up from where the original ended. So its 1997 in this new series
This is where the fun begins!
This is a new XMen show. They’re using much of the old style mixed with new ideas etc. it’s on Disney Plus.
Considering they are literally watching it, It's probably safe to say they're aware of what platform it's on.

Roberto DaCosta is Sunspot of the New Mutants.
It's a continuation from the last episode of the old series
Bummer, both that storm scene and intro were skipped.
The editing kills the reaction all the best parts are skipped!
I love your reaction but cyclop’s blast is not a laser it’s a concussion blast
It’s a beam of force
@@sean2871same thing
@@sean2871 Literally the same thing lol. A concussive blast is by the very definition.... a "beam of force".
@parity808 Please consider doing a series reaction of Blue Eye Samurai
Sin number one, you skipped the intro. You never skip the intro.
Nice legs, Geneva.
