It is a 2.2 4 cylinder, I think all of those engines sound similar to each other.

Sounds ok. I have aftermarket turbo muffler with no cat. Stock looking . Sounds slightly better less civic sounding. Minus my flex pipe exhaust leak.

I used to have a SS s10 it was straight piped and had trans am honeycomb wheels on it, I was such a ricer back then. yes I know nobody knows about the SS versions.

I have a 98 s10 4.3 I actually found a ss bowtie and swapped it to my grill that is how I found out about the ss version lol

@@AlexSmith-ys7of I bought mine from Detroit Michigan for about 600 bucks, around 2015. It was the only SS s10 in my area.
@@AlexSmith-ys7of the bed and cab were rotted, spent months fixing them, needed an interior so I found a complete 98 interior and swapped it in along with a 98 front grill conversion.The frame was in decent shape. Had about 180k on it. The engine blew at 200k.

Mine is a 98 2.2. Performance header, gutted cat, Flowmaster 40 series. I shit you not, kids pull up next to me in traffic asking if it’s LS swapped. I’ve had the truck since 99, and have always had the problem of everyone wanting to race. Recently It has gotten worse. So much so that I don’t even want to drive it anymore. Just because of the harassment that comes with driving it. It’s a slow turd. It’ll always be a slow turd, and anyone who knows their cars should also know that it’s a slow turd. Yet it keeps happening. Any advice on how to get those types to go away?
