Saitama wasnt testing Boros out. He was letting him fight cuz they are basicly the same. Just remember the dream Saitama had. They both wanted the same thing , so Saitama gave Boros a long enough fight to fufill his desire.

Αctually the only person closest to Saitama is my boy Garou. He gets stronger and stronger by each day and I think the writer does it on purpose to make it difficult for us to guess who would win of the two. These two are my favourite characters so I hope no dying from neither sides. Garou needs a hug and his little friend and Saitama just needs a normal day as a Hero with criminals and all and a nice dinner with his squat😂

Meteoric burst, the attack that surprised Saitama, was the strongest attack that any non-Saitama character in this show is capable of. The last Roaring Cannon attack was just a last ditch effort by Boros, but Meteoric Burst would've wiped out anyone and anything that's not Saitama.

Boros is by far the strongest character in OPM after Saitama (not counting Blast cuz we don't know what he's capable of) in his Power Unsealed Mode he would've erase any class S hero with ease lol

Even the episode titles show Saitama's progression, from "The Strongest Man" to "The Strongest Hero."
And more parallels between Saitama and Boros, many scenes in this fight are mirrors from Saitama's dream in the first episode, from the speeches, the running, even the heartbeat are all similar.

That's IS what's happening
Because Boros was so much stronger than any opponent Saitama faced before that Saitama didn't know how much power was needed to kill him, so basically he was increasing his power in each punch until Boros went into Meteoric burst mode where he had to go into serious mode or else Boros would have wiped the planet clean.
@@Nudrius Boros's regen capabilities are far too much for Saitama to just one hit kill, we saw his crystal break at the end as well with that serious hit Saitama gave, also Saitama told Genos afterwards that Boros is truly strong.

I don’t know if you caught the implication at the end of the fight or not but it definitely meant that Saitama lied. He just said it was his final move to make Boros feel better because Saitama understands the struggle of being so strong that everything is boring.

He only lied about the fight been close, since saitama was much stronger than boros

His serious move was a serious punch, but it wasn’t him giving it his all, it was basically saitama putting his back into the hit, but a fight where saitama has to try if it ever comes, saitama would be punching with serious punches the entire time
Honestly felt bad for Boros in the end. Saitama didn’t even hit him with the Serious Punch - he hit him with the SHOCKWAVE from his punch. You can see how far away Boros was from Saitama when he got hit. Meaning Boros could clearly see (as he says) Saitama had strength to spare. “It wasn’t even a battle” is so heartbreaking when you realize Boros has been searching for the ultimate combatant, but he was probably expecting someone more equal to his power level. Saitama was so far beyond his strength that the battle was basically done out of pity for Boros.
Imagine being almost on a godlike power level, wiping out entire planets, raging across the universe - only to get swatted like a fly in your final battle.
Boros was sad for Saitama, not for himself. Boros got the fight he wanted, but he realised that Saitama would never get that.
You know how stronger saitama would be if he practiced martial arts or taijutsu

I like how when boros reaches his final level of power and begins to do his roaring laze beam thing, he gets the same heartbeat saitama did when he fought the lobster, and that was 3 years ago, which means if he already had that heartbeat 3 years ago, he's about 3000x stronger than boros

Saitama used a serious punch not because it was necessary for Meteoric Burst... He did it to show respect to Boros since he was gonna give "all his energy"...but it was still an overkill. That's why Saitama was heartbroken. He knew he can't hold back out of respect, but it will kill Boros.
The fact that Boros was so weaken by Meteoric Burst and still managed to be conscious after Saitama's serious punch really shows how tough Boros is, would like to see him fight the S class heroes to put things into perspective.
Boros beats all S Class Heroes except Blast
Keep in mind, the studio only has an average budget to work with, and the amazing quality animation and art here was all due to the staffs' passion for the series. Big up to them.

Remember, Saitama isn't one punch man because he HAS to beat everything with one punch, but because he CAN beat everything with one punch.
He could have finished Boros with 1 punch if he'd done a serious punch at the start, but Saitama always holds back.
Boros is technically the 4th person who survives a punch in the series.
Saitama slaps Sonic into the pavement, he slaps the hero instructor into the pavement, and he punches away hammerheads armor (and gives Genos a little lovetap). Of course, he wasn't really trying to kill them, he was holding back, but he was holding back with Boros as well, the difference isn't that Boros can handle a punch by Saitama, it's that Boros could handle a stronger punch than anyone else so far.
He's still one punch man. When he punched Boros that last time, he went from full hp to dead in 1 punch. And Saitama still had more strength if he wanted to,

YESSS!!!!!!!!
Saitama knew Boros was stronger than all the monsters he ever faced. After all he did survive 2 normal punch attacks, a consecutive normal punches attack, and even Boros was still alert after a serious punch. Boros was strong and Saitama knew it, and I think Saitama respected him, cause that never happened before where anyone could actually survive. He I think was kinda testing it out too, cause he never faced someone that strong before. It's like a lone lv 99999+ bored vs a bunch of lv 5's and 10's maybe a 200 or 400 every day, but they are all easily one shotted. Most S classes being around 500 give or take.
But boros was like a level 1900, no challenge at all to him, but still something of a impressive feat to behold for Saitama, where you punch once and the opponents health bar goes down by only 1/4th. And, I'm sure Saitama may have felt some form of very small dmg from the meteoric burst attack. Which is surprising to him, thus the surprised expression on Saitama's face. He isn't really trying though the whole thing, but I know he found Boros interesting, and respectable. For Saitama to say he was strong, that means ALOT coming from him.
(Btw just a side thing what I think, Goku is like a 800lv base form to 3400 lv when at peak form Ultra instinct currently I believe, but in his abilities they lack, a consecutive normal punches would obliterate him I think cause he doesn't have the regen ability Boros has naturally. If Goku did ultra instinct though and Saitama did consecutive normal punches after Goku achieved that form, Goku would dodge them all. But then Saitama would do serious consecutive punches and I'm certain it would be over right there)

Probably he would have clapped his hands and the strengh would have pushed him backwards, he can only breathe in space if he's super mode but in this case, he would have clapped his hands or do something to Repel him backwards
@@Golden0996 clapping your hands doesnt work the same in space, when you clap your hands really hard on earth, it pushing the air, which in return pushes you back, but in space, theres no force to push you back
@@GooberM47 your not making any sense, if you actually watched the video if Saitama had enough strengh to jump from space to the earth, he can do the same with clapping his hands it's not about the air, this is theoretically made, it's just like in the Hulk Vs Saitama video at the end when Saitama punched Hulk to space Hulk clapped his hands and flew back down, you see if he was in normal Hulk mode it wouldn't have worked because he wasn't strong enough, but since he's reached the point we're he is at least able to go back to earth it was possible. And Saitama is twice as stronger than Hulk and he would do the same too, plus I didn't just mention the force of clapping hands I mentioned other ways of theoretically coming back down. So please utilize your brain before you comment.
@@Golden0996 bruh, in that video, hulk was still in the atmosphere, and Saitama was able to jump back because he was standing on the moon and had a surface to jump from, you cant just clap in an empty space where there's no matter or particles and expect the same result as if there was. It was probably already mentioned somewhere but a key moment with Boros is when he performed his final move he finally regained his emotions and the thrill of the fight (the heart beat) at the very end thanks to Saitama. Makes you wonder who will do the same for our boy!

I believe that Saitama's telling him "are we done with this fight" is just Saitama being sad inside. Not even world conquerers from outer space are close to being a match. I think he just accepted 'am i truly destined to be bored'. This line of thought continues through second season
