I was on set for this shoot. Can confirm, it's down to Miller being an ABSOLUTE perfectionist. Spent 8-12 hours on set to do ~30 seconds of filming per day - none of which I'm even sure will even end up in the final release. Given how damn good *Fury Road* was you're sure to get a damn good movie out of this, but GOD DAMN there's a lot of mining involved!

And on one of your old videos you talked about how you were starting scripting a video that went into a deep dive of Max’s famed vehicle the Interceptor. Considering we’re all a bit starved for Mad Max content I feel like this is a video many of your fans would enjoy, and something I’m very interested in. Plus it gives you something to do besides just scouring the news and social media for new Furiousa updates.

This including not only the Interceptor video, but also a video about what happened to the world of Mad Max (environmentally), a video about Max's driving partner - The Dark One, or a bunch of half-baked ideas that were left in the first movie. How about a video about George Miller's medical background and expertise when creating characters? All this stuff - and more - I have written scripts for just waiting to be made but each time I start them I get a bunch of new pictures and info from Furiosa and here we go again... Update #42352. I guess I either have to work double shifts or take a break from updating on the new film.

Good video but I hate how this information was obtained. It reminds us why we all hate paparazzis. I would’ve rather not even have gotten this information.
Generally George Miller with these Mad Max movies takes his good time to film them and then edit them, with Fury Road it also took a long time. Also keep in mind that George is already a very old man, he is close to 80 years old and the energies and spirits at that age are slower.
When he released the first Mad Max he wanted more time and wish he had more budget. The film almost didn't make it. So as a result he ain't mucking around with movies. There is a huge interview on the Kino Lorber release of Mad Max.
20 fucking 25? Wtf over? Why not just get back to us in 24. Gonna have to watch bits and pieces for 2-3 years. Man, I ain't got the patience. And the news crews fucking things up. It's gonna be awesome. Leave em alone. See you in 25. Thnx.
Would rather see a Pre-quel to the original & best Mad Max. To see how the Toecutter Gang & MFP were formed. How Max & Jessie got together. Won't be going to see this. It has nothing to do with Mad Max. Just a Woke Virtue Signalling garbage.
Fury Road may have been fun to watch but the sheer amount of work, skill, equipment, just to maintain the ridiculous vehicles floors me. None of it is logical. Minimizes and marginalizes skilled workers - then we wonder why we don't have any. In Mad Max 2 they kept one cripple alive, the mechanic. And the cars were pieces of shit. God America is fucked watching this crap. Miller is in love with making movies now and taking Hollywood for a ride because he can, it's the Blind Leading The Blind.
That's interesting, you're not the first person who thinks I'm being disrespectful to George Miller for literally reporting what I've been told is the reason for a possible delay. Let me repeat - I'M REPORTING WHAT I'VE BEEN TOLD IS THE REASON FOR THE DELAY. Also explaining how George Miller works is not me expressing a negative opinion! I'm literally telling you how he works, that process has been explained by many people who worked with him: John Seale, Eric Whipp, Doug Mitchell, his own wife Margaret Sixel, etc, it's described really well in Kyle Buchanan's book Blood Sweat and Chrome too. That's just how he works, it's a fact and bringing it up is not shitting on George Miller. People need to learn the difference between reporting and opinion.
Why scrap it? Should Miller scrap it just for your benefit or for some other arrogant reason that suits your hissy fit? How do you know it’s going to be shit? Have you read the script? Have you been to the future and watched the film or are you basing your “it’s going to be shit” on nothing factual and nothing concrete other than your own closed mindedness and idiocy? You do realise that a Furiosa stand alone film has been on the cards since the late 90s when Fury Road was starting to gain traction, right? Plus if you’re not interested in a Furiosa film then why are you here, seriously?
@@wheelsofchaoticdoom8946 miller should scrap it because fury road was shit. yes i know furiosa is a stand alone film, pretty much what fury road was about. so take it easy snowflake, god fucking forbid anyone oppose your thought. if i ever watch this film it will be through piracy
I felt the 2024 date was a bit ambitious for the scale of the film but we shall see. After my 100th time watching Fury Road I wished we could see what an actual supply run to Gastown would be like and here we are getting to see it on the big screen in all its glory.
I was kind of expecting a delay with all the trouble with production such as the floods and Miller getting Covid. Honestly I get that many would see Miller's approach to film making exhausting, but I'd prefer he take his time and do things right. Than to becoming one of those directors who bangs out a new movie each year. Caring more about how much money they made than if anybody actually enjoyed the movie.
I would like to see a playthrough or a review of the mad max game from you I know you made the video about all of the cancelled games but I'd really like to see you say more about the 2015 game.
I'm digging this idea. That game's been reviewed from the gamer's perspective but I haven't seen fans of the Mad Max series review it. I think that'd be a cool idea to pick it apart from that angle, see how true it is to the movies, what went wrong, what went right etc. I've been playing video games my whole life so It's not like I'd be out of the water talking about it either. I'll definitely think about it, thanks for the suggestion!
Awesome work again; thank you so much! The worrying part is your thoughts on the reason of the delay to 2025. The movie is a project and has a planning. Initially it was planned for 2023 if I am not mistaking, then postponed to 2024, and now (probably) to 2025; that is bad project management and could end up in delaying several more times!
I tall my kid if I die before 2025 go see the movie for me please. I don't think it will be better than Fury Road but I'm happy the Mad Max universe keeps on expanding.
How is the new update going brother? Is there any news on a young Immortan Joe casting? I am also wondering if we may see Scabrous Scrotus in the movie i know the game was not cannon but he was a cool character nonetheless.
Yes there will ne a new update soon, and it'll be the last one for quite a while as the film moves into post-production. I'll round up the news from the last 2 months, talk about the technology they're using on the film and maybe hint at a few things without spoiling too much. I'll also make a separate video where I answer all the question I got about Furiosa, there were too many of them to cover in a single video (about 60 questions or so) so I'll do a podcast'ish q&a'ish video for that specifically.

Is it true they are filming this movie and the next with Tom Hardy being filmed back to back?
HIGHLY doubtful.
Uhm, wasn't Fury(osa) Road HER story anyway? I was... Kinda looking forward to another proper Max instalment, but... Oaky doki.
scrabrous scrotus = Martin Ford, de locos
I didn't know this was being made. Nor do I care.
It is not delayed. He is just taking his time. That's all. Whenever it is gonna be ready is not for us to say. Peace out!!
Fury Road was more of a Furiosa movie than a Max one
WAAAR BOOOYZ
'
UNknow about in the future year of 2023 to 2025
dawg im not mad it got delayed im sad taylor joy is gonna be furiosa like why
Junkie XL out
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard in
20 fucking 25? Wtf over?
Why not just get back to us in 24. Gonna have to watch bits and pieces for 2-3 years. Man, I ain't got the patience. And the news crews fucking things up. It's gonna be awesome. Leave em alone. See you in 25. Thnx.
Mad Max Fast and the Furiosa with out Max Rockantansky.
As long as the production co. isn't worried about spending more money, George Miller can take all the time he needs for this movie.
I'm not listening to ANY criticism of how George Miller works. Results speak for themselves.
I love George, but he needs to just get on with it. It'll be fine.
Aaahhh fuck no
didn't age well
Would rather see a Pre-quel to the original & best Mad Max.
⚠️OH PLEASE YEE GODZ OF ALL THE WASTELANDS... keep George Miller healthy & strong⚠️
Why are you so negative about George Miller? He's literally 100% responsible for the whole point of your channel?
Sadly a all to long time to wait. 👎
Why aren't they making mad max wasteland. I don't want furiousa
Another badass female lead movie that's gonna tank at the box office. Watched Fury Road once & was so disappointed in it.
You are in the EXTREME minority.
@@derkeheath5172 We will see, with the next film. Female lead movies are tanking at the box office.
why not scrap the whole movie? seeing its gonna be turn out to be shit. an actually do a prequel to road warrior
I dont care for this movie what about the next mad max movie. Why is he replace max with this generic character.
I felt the 2024 date was a bit ambitious for the scale of the film but we shall see. After my 100th time watching Fury Road I wished we could see what an actual supply run to Gastown would be like and here we are getting to see it on the big screen in all its glory.
From May 2024, I can confirm that it did NOT come out in 2025. Saw it last week and it was fantastic!
What sucks is that I'll be an old man by the time the third movie comes out.
@@zacharysmith4787 it will be worth it
Definitely do right and never ever rush anything I takes has long has it take to be a masterpiece in movie making.
Always love your updates ... Aussie Mad Max fanatic since I was a little kid...
@@MadMaxBible Great! I'd love to see more of this game through your eyes thanks for considering!
Thats a shame. By the time we finally get the next proper Mad Max film we will all be in the apocalypse
Look at how long Fury Road took.
@@skepticalbadger Well, that´s not a good sign 🙂
the act of filmmaking would make most project managers pack up and quit
@@buckadillafilms yeah I am project manager would get stressed as hell.
I'm still shook by the idea of Mercury Cougar XR7 with a .50 cal on the trunk.
Is Tom Hardy coming back ... I thought him and other actress didnt get on ... I would be very surprised ... plus this is not about Max ...
The one film I actually have been waiting for ever since I consumed fury road, mad Max fan since I was 12, love it x
Ahhh I know there's a lot of great work behind this movie but i wanna scream I have to potentially wait 3 years 😮
I really was Hoping to see The Real MAD MAX again In some of these flims. MEL GIBSON! Hope they wise up and give him some part a Big Part :,(
I tall my kid if I die before 2025 go see the movie for me please.
2025?!!
No no no no no, yeah I understand that fury road was YEARS in the making…but it’s a buzz kill hearing that.
I maybe dead by then!😂
Ahhhh man I'm so excited but so so nervous. I hope miller is taking care of himself. Great video as always!
I can't wait to ignore this movie! :D
