@@rafahrynkiewicz8274 According to Kyle Buchanan's book "Blood Sweat & Chrome" - The Wasteland covers one year of Max's life before the events of Fury Road. So there's high chance we'll see the Interceptor in that story, or at least see it in some stage of being built.

Watched Furiosa this weekend, and yes I can confirm that Max is seen from behind next to his car for a very quick "blink and you'll miss it" moment. Very cool! Another excellent movie from Mr Miller
Seeing the Interceptor again and not destroying it would be very refreshing to see, just leave the bloody car alone.

Im replaying the Mad Max game rn and I was wondering maybe you could talk about locations in Mad Max lore and pinpoint them to a real life location? Like Gastown or Bullet Farm or even the big Bridge and Statue seen in the game. Love your videos btw! So glad to see you and Max are BACK!!!
That's such a good suggestion!
It's kinda hard to pinpoint just one location. Roadsigns call it Gallup (city in New Mexico) , yet the gas plant is primarily based off one of the largest in Australia. It's a mishmash of a seaside heavy-industrial bay area, with common Americana sprinkled through the map.
It's hinted that some of those places would be under water right now. Max tells everyone to turn their bikes around because there's nothing for weeks that direction. I think they're on the ocean floor like some of the game
@@piratetv1 that's what I like about the game, most of the map is on the dry seabed and remnants of coral reefs and deep sea caves, what interests me some of the more unique landmarks around.
That game is very much Americanised nothing would come close to real Life as it's nothing like the Australian Outback which is were it's meant to be at least in the second film and Fury Road in South Africa still supposed to be Australia but obviously not, so all the lines are blurred

I've read that he was actually in the film in an off-camera sort of way because how else did Furiosa get back to the Citadel after she cut off her own arm? There's no way you could ride a bike in a state of shock like that while losing a ton of blood in the process. Plus, Miller has already said that the next prequel will be centered around Max so maybe he's hiding the Easter Eggs for us.
Furiosa seems to be shaping up nicely. It'd be cool to see if you could dig around and see if there's any plans for a new Mad Max game. I loved the 2015 one and it's been a long time to wait for a sequel.
Unfortunately there's no news on a new Mad Max game. Only a few months ago Wendy W Fok tweeted a picture of her 3D scanning session for "Rage 2" which she mistakenly described as "scanned to be in Mad Max 2" and everyone freaked out. Otherwise if a new Mad Max game is indeed in the works then I think we should expect something really story-driven. George Miller is a big fan of Hideo Kojima's 'Death Stranding' and praised it for the way he approached storytelling in the game, which should be indicative of George Miller's own approach towards a potential Mad Max game.

@@Tavemanic I think the Roman Empire angle was exactly the reason for the motorcycle chariots, chariot racing was insanely popular in the eastern Roman empire, it would make sense for the Legion to also be into it, and with horses being non-existent and Brahmin not exactly built for speed, using motorcycles would make sense.

I feel like he hid a lot of easter eggs with Furiosa and while everyone is arguing whether it is woke or not, he's laughing himself to sleep every night cause he knows how epic the story will be once all the details are revealed.

Awesome video as always! I feel fairly confident in saying that the motorcycle chariot is real. It is just so incredibly fitting for this franchise, and the idea of it even started in Australia! And with a "Motorcycle Chariot" appearing in the video game, it seems like Miller had the idea for it way back when he had first written the script, so that checks out.
Oh, and I have an idea for that mystery van. I imagine that it's a sort of ferry, packing a ton of people into it at once to transport them across the wastes. Y'know, like a bus. That's not exciting on its own, but looking at the vehicle which Max drives to Gastown at the start of the comics gave me an idea - what if we'll be able to spot Max in it? I know it's a biiig stretch, but it would definitely fill the role of a "special" part in the movie. Just an idea.
That conflicts with how we know that Max will have his Interceptor, though, and that's not to mention how Max really doesn't like being with other people if he can avoid it.
Racing motorcycle chariots has been a thing in Australia since the 1920s.
"1:48" I'm SO HAPPY that the iconic Interceptor it's going to appear in Furiosa. But I would a lot happier to see the "M.F.P, Vehicles Yellow, Red, White, and Blue from Mad Max, 1979". I would like to know what happen to those cars. Either a bad guy's car, a scavenger's car or stripped for parts?
"2:55" this massive gate might belong to the Bullet Farm because it's built next to a bunch rocks. If the gate was in Gastown, it should be surrounded with pipes and pumps, not to mention piles of wreck cars.
"7:11" The Tanker Truck and Trailer of oil drum actually belongs to "Gastown" because that place pumps oil and other fuel and it require Tanker vehicles like The People Eater's Limo. I know it has Immortan joe's Logo (7:52) but vehicles from Gastown or Bullet Farm has it as well, because the Citadel it's the "Lead Territory".
"8:08" The Maple Leaf Tow Truck kind of reminds me a Tow Truck similar to that from a 2003 Cannibal horror movie called: "Wrong Turn". Story about 3 Cannibals leaving in the woods, hunting and killing people to eat them and own a "1948 Dodge B-Series Tow Truck".
We know from the first Mad Max film that some of the cops became criminals or joined gangs. So it would not be surprising that many of the police vehicles were repainted, or cannibalized to maintain the gang members' vehicles. If you take into account the damage balance from the first film, it is also possible that most of the police vehicles were simply totaled in an accident.
@@polo86cfahrer I think that they were more likely to be destroyed over time, if they survived the start of apocalypse at all, since police cars usually had more heavy duty parts like suspension and brakes. So it would make more sense to me that other vehicles would be cannibalized to keep police cars running.
Yes a Original Interceptor like Maxs would be definitely be nice... even if its Main Force Patrol colours were faded.
But as for the Pursuit Special Hardtop showing up is really a no brainier.

Great video, thanks! I think your theory about the similar front ends of the two vehicles is spot-on - the People Eater saw Furiosa's rig and basically said "Make me one of those, but fancy."
Keep in mind, that in the game and in the comics. Max had to deal with Scrotious. So basically it is possible this might explain why they chase Max at the beginning of Fury Road.

Coming back from Furiosa, it's hard to tell when it takes place.
When we see Max and the Fury we immediatly notice it has its front bumper/armour, which it lost in Mad Max 2 and wasn't seen in the comic or even the game, also a single rear tank when the Road Warrior car had two.
If the car in the 2024 film is the same one in this picture then Furiosa takes place either BEFORE The Road Warrior (before getting the second tank)or not long AFTER Beyond Thunderdome where he would've rebuilt his ride (and got another/fixed the front fascia).

My wife was in mad mad beyond thunder dome in the parts filmed at Kurnell she was 12 at the time although I think its fantastic we have known each other since primary school and also lived in the same suburb in Sutherland Shire

I'll admit that at first, i wasn't thrilled about a Furiosa prequel, but watching things come together, the BoB making an appearance, i am now very excited. The only thing I wish they do is give a hint to Roop and Charlie, since they got like 2 panels in the Joe comic and I am pretty sure thats how the gigahorse has an MFP badge on the dash

Oh man I drove those R series Mack’s in the army and they are slow when a trailers attached but I’m really hoping it’s involved in a action scene. And yeah that looks like two combi’s joined together
Brad , was that Mack 'tanker' possibly a modified pontoon bridge carrier. I remember seeing something like that being used by engineers practicing on a river up near Albury, NSW in th 80's 0r 90's?
@@martinwhatley6512 the r series Mack’s had a lot of different roles. Just like the unimogs and rovers the base vehicle often stayed the same and they just changed out the body. I don’t remember if this one had the forward facing winch or not.
Ben smith-Peterson was a few characters in Fury Road, like many stuntmen on it, they were kinda interchangeable. I worked with him once rigging a music festival in 2015, there was mention of him riding the Ripsaw Charger as well in a few scenes as well as standing in for the action for Doof Warrior. There might have been more parts he did, I can't remember exactly and he was understandably vague about his information (He was surprised I knew about the Ripsaw at that point)
That's true, also Jacob I'd say mostly works as a stunt co-ordinator just by looking at his IMDB and as a stunt performer almost exclusively for Tom Hardy. A lot of options are on the table but still, if the Interceptor is in the film, Max must show up as well, can't have one without the other (except MMBT but they retconned it to some extent).
@@MadMaxBible, yeah those two reveals certainly lean on that, for sure. Though I remember the amount of guesswork we all did with the Fury Road leaks that were totally blasted away when the first trailer came out, but it's not going to stop the treasure hunt from being fun!
I could have applied for work on Furiosa, but it wasn't the right time for me to do so, a friend who I trade music gear with was offered a paid extra role on it cos he's weird lookin, but I don't know if he took it.

Otherwise, one of the guys I work with did some metalwork on FR vehicles, and he disappeared for most of this year so maybe he's got some info I can squeeze out of him.

@@khuhruzhsvethmeorv8318 They were all very wild and fleeting, I can't remember. maybe some of the fan forums still have the old threads on them. But a longstanding one was a myth about Gibson being in the movie in a different role somewhere.
There were a few that were out there. There was one that Max in Fury Road was going to be Max's clone made with his DNA or something like that. It came from misrepresenting an old interview where George Miller talked about Fury Road essentially being a soft reboot and that this new Max has DNA of the old one. Someone took that literally.
There was also a rumor about Max having a quadruple shotgun. Which to some extent was true, that gun was in the film but never in Max's hands.
There was a rumor that Furiosa had a crossbow arm or something like that. And that Bartertown was supposed to be at the Citadel's feet. Which I heard WAS an idea at one point I guess, at least that's what I heard from folks working on the film, not sure how true that is though, they weren't writing the script :)

5:04 I could be wrong but the extended swinging arm on that bike, looks similar to those on extreme hill clime bikes. It keeps the weight forward so the bikes don't flip going up steep inclines.

This film is going to ROCK so hard, some of my friends were extras on the Fury Road set, a lot of them being hired out of Cape Town ( my home ) I just missed the call for that one but did end up working on Black Sails a hell of a lot. Lost count of the amount of times I was covered in fake blood and dumped against a wall somewhere to be a dead pirate. Heh good times. Cool channel by the way, just came across it now.

As far as I can tell Kurnell is across the Botany Bay harbour from Sydney airport not remote but a refinery, desalination plant and national park aswell as beaches in Sydney metropolitan area. Bartertown was apparently the old brick pit of
Sydney at Homebush where V8 supercars run.
They said somebody that worked on the film said he's in it but it's a blink and you'll miss it cameo so it'll probably be like an Easter egg. Someone will have to find out by watching the movie slowly.
I hope Miller makes one more and just completes the mad Max journey because you know they're going to reboot it
I worked with the mad max 1 art director on a bcf ad. Half my cost of supplying my car for film was i want filming stories. Old jon dowding did not dissapoint. This movie looks like it will be interesting. I wish they would call me for this movie lol.

Be cool if the combi-van/yellow-bus thing is the gate-bus from Road Warrior, with the Feral Kid leading The Great Northern Tribe. At 8:39 it kinda looks like the rear end of the Commer Avenger bus, but cut away at the front and hooked on a cab-over truck, like a trailer. Or maybe the whole bus, but driving alongside/behind the truck

I attended the premiere for Thor last night and spoke to David Collins about Furiosa. He showed me a very interesting image from the set that reveals his role in the film, but I have been sworn to not say a word of what I saw., osrry But I can tell you it will be a major role and he has enjoyed learning to ride a bike. Also I would expect to see Goran D. Kleut in the film as he did mention he is working with Chris on a project at the moment, but he would not elaborate to what it was when I caught up with him aswell.
I think I've figured out what he's going to be doing.

There was a motorcycle chariot at 1 of the Wasteland Weekend events and a buddy of mine had a friend that has motorcycle chariot with a single motorcycle that he was trying to part out.....
Very interesting to see if that's actually gonna be an element in the new movie.
Most likely a post credit scene, where max shows up at the bullet farm seeing the remains with his new rebuilt interceptor after fury road. Theory on that is: it picks up right after the events of furry road max didn’t leave everyone just yet he went to get his car and and had it fixed then left.
Personally, In regards to the Interceptor, I feel they filmed some part of the next film, Wasteland since the set was already I built so why not take advantage of it.

Born in kurnell ,watched them put this plane together and filming of movie,sat up on the dunes right side of clip , when finished they left it there and we would drink around a small bonefire at night next to it ,great memories
Hey Bible, is it safe to say that, since George himself wrote those Mad Max comics from a few years ago, that those are still canon? It’s fascinating how many stories George managed to squeeze out of writing Fury Road.
Everything in those comic books is canon. They are complementary to the 'Fury Road' trilogy consisting of Fury Road, Furiosa and The Wasteland.
They ought to use one of Tina Turner's songs from Beyond Thunderdome, as a cool reference. Maybe have it play on a radio or something
